Abstract

Coastal areas are considered biodiversity zones. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of land use on aquaculture productivity rate in coastal areas using a dynamic modeling analysis system. This study was conducted in the Pekalongan Province. Water quality parameters and qualitative research data were obtained from an in-depth survey. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using dynamic modeling analysis. The results of this study indicate that the level of coastal land use has a variable relationship with the productivity rate of aquaculture. Based on the causal loop model, it could be analyzed that the social, environmental conditions in coastal areas were described as continuing to experience quantification of population increase and environmental utilization rates. Overall, the productivity level of aquaculture cultivation in coastal areas tended to decrease along with the increasing value of productive land use accompanied by increased inputs and the number of human resource populations in coastal areas. The optimal inclusion of this study was that the optimal land use level would impact the productivity management level of aquaculture cultivation in coastal areas. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the optimal utilization of coastal land greatly impacted the management of the productivity level of aquaculture cultivation, which was carried out in an integrated manner. Furthermore, the analysis of the dynamic modeling system also illustrated the increasing social-environmental conditions in coastal land utilization.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of students in solving mathematical problems, which is caused by the use of traditional teaching methods and the lack of utilization of instructional media. To address this issue, the study aims to implement the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model supported by STANTICK teaching aids as an alternative to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Kandeman. This research employs a quantitative approach with a posttest-only control group design. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling technique, which involves randomly selecting samples from clusters. Out of six classes in the population, two were randomly chosen as the research sample, namely class X TE 2 as the experimental group and class X TE 3 as the control group. Data were collected through an essay test based on single data statistics material. The analysis in this study utilized t-tests and proportion tests. The results revealed that the implementation of the CTL model assisted by STANTICK had a significant effect on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to the conventional method. Moreover, the CTL learning model supported by STANTICK teaching aids enabled students to achieve mastery learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' numeracy literacy skills in solving AKM questions in terms of learning style and self-esteem. Apart from that, to find out the factors that cause students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions when viewed from varying learning styles and self-esteem. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods were carried out using tests, questionnaires and interviews. The test is used to measure students' numeracy literacy skills which consists of 4 domains and each domain consists of 3 questions, so there are 12 questions. The questionnaire is used to determine students' learning styles according to David Kolb and students' self-esteem categories. Interviews is used to determine factors causing students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions. The data analysis technique uses concepts according to Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results showed that students' numeracy literacy skills in solving AKM questions are in the quite good category. The factors that cause students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions are that students are not careful enough, don't want to try, don't understand the questions, can't find a way to solve them, can't solve problems, and make mistakes when doing calculations.

Abstract

Publikasi karya ilmiah telah menjadi salah satu tuntutan bagi mahasiswa jenjang Sarjana. Beberapa tantangan dalam melakukan publikasi karya ilmiah adalah kurangnya kemampuan dalam menulis artikel dan kurangnya pemahaman terhadap proses editorial dari jurnal maupun seminar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian berupa pendampingan bagi mahasiswa PMTK Unikal ini dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melalui tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menggunakan angket menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 88% mahasiswa menjadi terampil dalam menulis artikel, dan sebanyak 85% mahasiswa menjadi paham mengenai sistem kerja OJS 3.0 yang umum digunakan oleh pengelola jurnal maupun seminar. Diperoleh pula informasi mengenai kendala yang dialami oleh mahasiswa selama mengikuti Sandika ke-6, yang sebagian besar terjadi pada tahap submitting artikel.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dasar di daerah pedesaan, khususnya di SDN 014686 Sidomulyo, Sumatera Utara, yang menghadapi tantangan signifikan berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, rendahnya kemampuan numerasi dan verbal siswa, serta minimnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan verbal siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran abakus yang dipadukan dengan teknologi digital sederhana sebagai solusi inovatif dan adaptif terhadap keterbatasan yang ada. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan melibatkan 60 siswa kelas 2 serta dua guru. Program dilaksanakan dalam lima tahap: sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi serta keberlanjutan program. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes formatif sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas temuan dari berbagai sumber. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan numerasi siswa, dengan rata-rata kenaikan skor sebesar 46,6% setelah tiga minggu implementasi. Selain itu, kemampuan verbal siswa juga menunjukkan perkembangan yang positif, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 2,4 menjadi 4,0 pada skala lima poin. Guru melaporkan peningkatan keterampilan pedagogis dan mulai mengintegrasikan alat bantu digital dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan aplikasi abakus digital terbukti meningkatkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Program ini tidak hanya menjawab tantangan akademik yang ada, tetapi juga memberdayakan guru serta menciptakan model pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah-sekolah lain dengan kondisi serupa.
