Abstract

The novel Bumi Manusia is played by characters with strong character and strong principles. With such a character and faced with a shackling situation, these characters naturally resisted. However, ambivalence is sometimes present in every resistance. In this research, the researchers determined the data in the form of words, phrases, and others contained in Bumi Manusia and suspected of containing resistance and ambivalence. The data was collected using heuristic technique. After all the data had been collected, the researcher used hermeneutic techniques as a tool for analysis. Using these techniques, the researcher found that Bumi Manusia was a novel that told about the topics of the ‘45 generation including patriarchism, colonialism, and the like. The various forms of subordinates, by many characters, were then responded to with various resistances, both public and hidden. However, not all resistance produced in a perfect form. At some point, resistance would produce ambivalence. In this study, researchers found some resistance data which were also accompanied by ambivalence.

Abstract

One manifestation of dehumanization within the framework of prophetic ethics is the existence of the 'man-machine.' Humans lose their humanity and experience spiritual alienation. This phenomenon is found in the novel Hidup Ini Keras Maka Gebuklah (Trilogi Ipung) by Prie GS. The purpose of this research is to describe the dehumanization depicted through the characteristics of the 'man-machine' in the novel Hidup Ini Keras Maka Gebuklah (Trilogi Ipung) by Prie GS. The approach used in this study is the sociological literary approach. The heuristic method is employed to gather data, which consists of excerpts from the novel Hidup Ini Keras Maka Gebuklah (Trilogi Ipung). Data analysis in this research employs the hermeneutic method. The findings of this research include characteristics of dehumanization in the form of the 'man-machine' in the novel, which involve the presence of machinery and techniques in all fields, human activities based solely on stimulus and response, and the presence of enlightenment, awareness, guidance, or a 'God spot'.

Abstract

Narrative facts are elements that serve as imaginative records of a story, including characters (figures and traits), plot, and setting. This research aims to analyze the differences in narrative facts in the translated texts of “Lontar Yusup” and “Serat Nabi Yusuf”. The research approach used is objective, and data collection utilizes structural techniques. The research data sources are the book by Wiwin Indiarti, “Lontar Yusup Banyuwangi: Teks Pegon – Transliterasi – Terjemahan” (2018), and the book by Laela Nurhayati Dewi and Hermawati titled “Serat Nabi Yusuf: Transkripsi dan Transliterasi” (2011). Data analysis is conducted using structural reading techniques. The research findings reveal differences in the character aspect, including differences in the main characters influenced by differences in the central narrative focus, the mentioning of character names that refer to the names and character details, character actions that affect the details of the characters' traits, character dialogues that refer to the choice of words used and the purpose of the dialogue, and the feelings/thoughts of the characters. Differences in the exposition and complication aspects of the plot include details in the plot and the addition of scenes, such as added character actions, differences in character actions, and the addition of reasons for character actions. Differences in the setting aspect are only found in time and place.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan Capaian Pembelajaran tiap-tiap fase (A-F) untuk masing-masing elemen (menyimak, membaca dan memirsa, berbicara dan mempresentasikan, dan menulis). Dari Capaian Pembelajaran yang telah dittetapkan dalam kurikulum tersebut, guru diberi kebebasan untuk menurunkannya menjadi tujuan pembelajaran dan materi pembelajaran. Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terbagi menjadi dua kemampuan, yaitu kemampuan yang bersifat reseptif dan kemampuan yang bersifat produktif. Untuk pembelajaran sastra di SMA (Fase E dan F), kemampuan reseptif berbentuk apresiasi sastra dan kemampuan produktif berbentuk ekspresi sastra dan kreasi sastra. Apresiasi sastra dapat diwujudkan dalam elemen menyimak, elemen membaca, dan elemen memirsa. Ekspresi sastra dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk elemen membaca(-kan), elemen mempresentasikan, dan elemen menulis. Kreasi sastra, yang terdiri atas kemampuan re-kreasi dan kreasi itu sendiri, dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk elemen berbicara (kreasi lisan) dan elemen menulis (kreasi tulis). Pembelajaran apresiasi sastra didasari oleh pengetahuan sastra (konsep-konsep dan sejarah sastra); sedangkan pembelajaran ekspresi sastra dan kreasi sastra didasari oleh apresiasi sastra.

Abstract

This research examines women's attitudes towards exploitation in three modern Indonesian novels: Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Nyai Gowok by Budi Sardjono, and Re: and Perempuan by Maman Suherman. This research applies a descriptive qualitative method with a document study type and uses a feminist literary criticism approach to examine the exploitation of women in three modern Indonesian novels. The instrument used was data cards. The data collection process involved steps such as collection, condensation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. After collecting data from the three novels, the researcher analyzed and compared the patterns of narration and characterization of women's exploitation to draw more in-depth conclusions. The results of the research are ten novel excerpts that show that female characters such as Nyai Ontosoroh display firm resistance and independence, while Nyai Lindri expresses her resistance through the boundaries she sets, and Re: accepts the reality of exploitation with an adaptive attitude. The novels as a whole illustrate the complexity of women's responses to exploitation and their struggle for dignity and autonomy in a patriarchal society. AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji sikap perempuan terhadap eksploitasi dalam tiga novel modern Indonesia: Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Nyai Gowok karya Budi Sardjono, dan Re: dan Perempuan karya Maman Suherman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kritik sastra feminis. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi langkah pengumpulan, kondensasi, reduksi data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dari kutipan-kutipan teks yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga bentuk utama sikap perempuan terhadap eksploitasi: perlawanan aktif (ditunjukkan oleh Nyai Ontosoroh dalam Bumi Manusia melalui perjuangannya membangun kemandirian dan melawan patriarki kolonial), penolakan subtil (dilakukan oleh Nyai Lindri dalam Nyai Gowok melalui tindakan cerdas menolak manipulasi budaya patriarkis), dan penerimaan adaptif (yang ditunjukkan oleh Re: dalam Re: dan Perempuan sebagai mekanisme bertahan hidup di tengah eksploitasi seksual dan ekonomi). Analisis ini mengungkap bahwa sikap perempuan, meskipun berbeda dalam konteks dan bentuk, mencerminkan perjuangan untuk mempertahankan martabat, kesadaran harga diri, serta upaya melawan struktur sosial yang patriarkis dan eksploitatif. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada kajian kritik sastra feminis dengan menampilkan bagaimana karya sastra modern Indonesia mencerminkan dan menantang realitas eksploitasi perempuan, serta relevansinya dengan kondisi sosial-kultural kontemporer.

Abstract

Poetry is one of the literary works that has the principle of free expression. Through poetry, one can express many things by focusing on language as a meaning that can represent many things. One of them is Emha Ainun Nadjib's poetry, which is collected in the poetry anthology Rahman Rahim Cinta. The research conducted is on the author's worldview and social piety. It was found that there are five author's worldviews and also four social piety that have strong meaning in the process of creating works. This research was conducted through heuristic and hermeneutic data analysis and the study of literary sociology which is essentially a discipline that connects sociology with literature that has similar objects, namely humans in society, used as an approach, which is strongly supported by the theory of genetic structuralism in the search for meaning.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran era 21 menuntut siswa memiliki kompetensi yang mencakup kemampuan berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Kemampuan tersebut dikenal dengan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kreativitas pendidik dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui latihan soal standar HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) dengan bantuan media Quizizz. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelusuri berbagai sumber kajian pustaka seperti buku, hasil riset, jurnal, artikel, dan lain-lain. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca catat. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan; 1) proses membaca, 2) mengkategorikan, dan 3) menganalisis informasi yang berasal dari sumber perpustakaan yang relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan pemanfaatan media Quizizz dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, menantang, dan interaktif. Perbelajaran berstandar HOTS membantu meningkatkan intelektual siswa dan kreativitas pendidik. Secara keseluruhan penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman konseptual tentang cara pendidik dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa melalui penyajian soal HOTS dengan media pembelajaran yang mendukung tercapaianya tujuan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study analyzes the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabrizkie using Robert Stanton's structural approach to identify the story's facts (plot, characters, setting), narrative devices (title, point of view, style and tone, symbolism, irony), and themes. This study also examines the novel's relevance as a teaching material for literary appreciation at the Senior High School (SMA) level. The method used is descriptive qualitative with heuristic reading techniques and content analysis. The research data are sourced from the text of the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabrizkie and strengthened through relevant literature studies. The results of the study show that this novel has a complex and meaningful narrative structure, with themes of dark fantasy adventure and child exploitation conveyed through absurd language style and sharp irony. The novel's relevance as a teaching material in senior high school lies in its ability to develop critical thinking, foster empathy, and increase students' literary appreciation of contemporary social issues. The novel's suitability to the criteria for selecting teaching materials that emphasize cognitive engagement, personal relevance, and multidimensional experiences makes this research contribute to the development of innovative literary teaching materials that are relevant to the needs of students in the modern era. Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini karya Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabrizkie dengan menggunakan pendekatan struktural Robert Stanton untuk mengidentifikasi fakta cerita (alur, karakter, latar), sarana cerita (judul, sudut pandang, gaya dan tone, simbolisme, ironi), serta tema. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji relevansi novel tersebut sebagai bahan ajar apresiasi sastra di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pembacaan heuristik dan analisis isi. Data penelitian bersumber dari teks novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini karya Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabrizkie dan diperkuat melalui studi pustaka relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini memiliki struktur naratif yang kompleks dan kaya makna, dengan tema petualangan fantasi gelap serta eksploitasi anak yang disampaikan melalui gaya bahasa absurd dan ironi yang tajam. Relevansi novel sebagai bahan ajar di SMA terletak pada kemampuannya mengembangkan cara berpikir kritis, menumbuhkan empati, seeta meningkatkan apresiasi sastra siswa terhadap isu-isu sosial kontemporer. Kesesuaian novel dengan kriteria pemilihan bahan ajar yang menekankan keterlibatan kognitif, relevansi personal, dan pengalaman multidimensi menjadikan penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan bahan ajar sastra yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa di era modern.

Abstract

Character education in Indonesia is currently facing various challenges, especially due to the growing social dynamics influenced by global culture, which tends to overlook local cultural values. In this context, literary works, particularly poetry, play a vital role in conveying messages of local wisdom that deeply influence character development. The poem collection Ayat Sunyi by Emi Suy highlights the importance of values such as cooperation, tolerance, honesty, justice, wisdom, human-nature relations, and religiosity. Using a literary sociology approach and sociological theory, this study reveals that local wisdom values, as part of social morality, are strongly portrayed in the poems. The analysis shows that the poems not only depict harmony between humans and nature but also emphasize the role of women as guardians of cultural values and agrarian spirituality. These poems emphasize the importance of preserving cultural traditions that are now being marginalized, while also educating students to appreciate their culture, value life, and develop responsible character. Thus, the poems serve a significant role in shaping a better young generation by instilling values of local wisdom that nurture individuals to be caring, empathetic, and deeply rooted in national identity. The symbolism of Dewi Sri, the earth, and prayer in the poems provides a strong foundation for reinforcing character education, preparing Indonesia's Golden Generation to become individuals of noble character, empathy, and cultural integrity.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem that can disrupt the academic and psychosocial development of students in elementary schools. This study aims to explore the role of literacy as an effort to prevent bullying in elementary schools. Literacy in this context includes reading and writing skills, as well as emotional and social literacy that is important for understanding the feelings of others and communicating effectively. This article uses the literature review method or library research, with data collection through the documentation method. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, which involved repeated reading of the literature and cross-checking between literature to ensure the accuracy of the discussion and prevent misinformation in data analysis. In this discussion, empirical research results and case examples from various countries that demonstrate the effectiveness of literacy programs in reducing bullying incidents in primary schools are presented. The practical implications of these research findings for the development of holistic and integrated literacy programs are also discussed, including prevention and intervention strategies involving teachers, parents and the whole school community.
