Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to understand the structure and linguistic rules of writing negotiation texts. Students perceive writing as a rather boring subject. The objective of this study is to describe the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model on the negotiation text writing skills of Phase E students at SMA Negeri 3 Padang. This quantitative research used an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population was all Phase E students at SMA Negeri 3 Padang. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample was grade E1 students. The instrument used in this study was a performance test. The data were scores from the negotiation text writing performance test before and after using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. The results of this study. First, the negotiation text writing skills before using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model of phase E students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang were at a mastery level of 66-75% with more than sufficient qualifications by obtaining an average of 70.60. The weaknesses of students before using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model were in the text structure indicators and language rules of the negotiation text. Second, the negotiation text writing skills after using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model of Phase E students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang were at a mastery level of 86-95% with very good qualifications by obtaining an average value of 87.27. In the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model, the mastery of the structure indicators and language rules of the negotiation text was good. Third, the use of negotiation texts had a significant influence of 95% with dk-n-1 because < (95.1> 1.70). The Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model significantly influences negotiation text writing skills because the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model is a cooperative learning model that involves students in small groups to learn to read and write in an integrated manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the various forms of inner conflict experienced by the main character, Kim Ji-yeong, in the novel "Kim Ji-yeong Born in 1982" by Cho Nam-joo. This novel is highly relevant because it depicts the complex experiences of Korean women in facing patriarchal social pressures and expectations. Through the analysis of inner conflict, this study shows that women have complex desires, aspirations, and struggles in life, and they are not passive creatures. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research data were taken from words or sentences contained in the novel itself. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed five forms of inner conflict found in the character of Kim Ji-yeong. First, a painful neurotic inner conflict, characterized by perfectionism, self-blame, and pressure from family. Second, inner conflict moves toward others, where Ji-yeong tries to conform to social expectations to avoid conflict. Third, inner conflict moves against others, shown by Ji-yeong's efforts to aggressively fight against her family. Fourth, the inner conflict of moving away from others, which makes Ji-yeong feel isolated, inferior, and lose her identity due to constant pressure. Fifth, the inner conflict of an unrealistic ideal image, where Ji-yeong is expected to be a perfect mother, wife, and worker without adequate support. Overall, this study not only provides an in-depth understanding of the experiences of fictional characters but also provides insights into the social realities faced by many women worldwide, including in Indonesia. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam memahami dan menerapkan unsur-unsur penulisan teks cerpen. Selain itu, pembelajaran menulis masih dianggap membosankan oleh sebagian besar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media video animasi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Lengayang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pra-eksperimen menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Lengayang, dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI F2 yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes unjuk kerja menulis teks cerpen. Data diperoleh dari skor keterampilan menulis cerpen sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model PBL berbantuan media video animasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa sebelum perlakuan berada pada kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 64,32, terutama lemah pada penguasaan unsur-unsur cerpen. Setelah perlakuan, keterampilan menulis siswa meningkat ke kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 79,17. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model PBL berbantuan media video animasi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa pada taraf signifikansi 95%, dengan thitung > ttabel (4,785 > 1,70). Dengan demikian, model PBL berbantuan media video animasi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen, motivasi belajar, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar merupakan kondisi yang menyebabkan seseorang mengalami hambatan dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Akibatnya, peserta didik mungkin mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi pelajaran dan mengalami keterlambatan dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak sebagai pendekatan utama karena objek kajiannya berupa bahasa dalam bentuk teks. Metode ini dipilih untuk memungkinkan peneliti mengamati secara teliti bentuk dan penggunaan bahasa, yang dilengkapi dengan teknik catat guna mencatat data yang dianggap relevan untuk dianalisis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dua jenis sumber, yakni data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh langsung melalui wawancara mendalam dengan subjek utama, yaitu seorang siswa berinisial RSH dari SMPN 02 Pulau Kulur Kuantan Hilir Seberang, serta orang tua dan gurunya. Sementara itu, data sekunder dikumpulkan dari dokumen pendukung seperti tugas tertulis siswa, catatan observasi selama di sekolah, dan informasi tambahan dari guru setempat. Penelitian ini berlangsung di lokasi sekolah tersebut, dengan fokus pada satu siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar menulis (disgrafia). Data dalam penelitian ini dipahami sebagai bahan utama yang mengandung objek dan konteks penelitian, sedangkan sumber data merupakan pihak atau tempat di mana data tersebut diperoleh. kemampuan menulis anak disgrafia yang dialami oleh SHR adalah : 1) tulisan tidak jelas atau tidak dapat dibaca, 2) tulisan terlalu miring, 3) tercampurnya huruf kapital dan huruf kecil 4) lambat dalam menulis, 5) bentuk huruf terbalik, 6) mengalami kram saat menulis. Adapun faktor penyebab dari disgrafia yang dialami oleh RSH adalah faktor kombinasi atau gabungan dari faktor yang dialami oleh RSH adalah faktor kombinasi atau gabungan dari faktor internal seperti kurangnya minat menulis dan motivasi yang kurang, kognitif yang internal seperti kurangnya minat menulis dan motivasi yang kurang, kognitif yang lemah. Serta faktor eksternal seperti orangtua dan sistem pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the following problems. The ability of students to read the text of the story is still very low. Students still have difficulty understanding the content of the story text because the language used is a classic Malay language that they rarely encounter. This study aims to describe the effect of the application of the survey, question, read, reflect, recite, review (SQ4R) model on the ability to read the text of the story of phase E students of SMA Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The design of this study is a posttest-only control design. The population of this study is class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo who are registered in the 2024/2025 school year. The sample in this study was 36 students in class XE-3 (control class) and class XE-4 (experimental class) with 36 students. The sample extraction technique of this study is purposive sampling. The data in this study is in the form of objective test scores based on the indicators of the text of the story. The results of this study can be concluded as follows. First, the ability to read the text of the story without using the survey, question, read, reflect, recite, review (SQ4R) model obtained an average score of 70.56. Second, the ability to read the text of the story using the survey, question, read, reflect, recite, review (SQ4R) model obtained an average score of 82.47. Third, from the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, the use of the survey, question, read, reflect, recite, review (SQ4R) model affects the ability to read the text of the story, this can be seen from the acquisition of Thitung 2.60 is greater than the Ttable 1.99. In other words, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and has a significant influence.

Abstract

This study investigates how the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) constructs its institutional image and legitimacy in disaster management through discourse. Using Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework, the research explores textual, cognitive, and contextual dimensions of BAZNAS’s disaster response narratives. The study analyzes official publications, press releases, and media reports to reveal how language is strategically employed to shape public perception of BAZNAS as both a faith-based and professional humanitarian actor. The findings demonstrate that BAZNAS incorporates Syariah legitimacy (endorsed by the Indonesian Ulema Council's Fatwa No. 66/2022), technocratic legitimacy (achieved through ISO 9001:2015 certification), and political legitimacy (via endorsements from State officials). These layers of discourse position BAZNAS as a quasi-state institution bridging religious duty and bureaucratic professionalism. At the superstructural level, narratives emphasize rapid response, organizational efficiency, and structured governance, while micro-level analysis highlights rhetorical strategies such as quantification, metaphors of heroism, and digital transparency that reinforce credibility and public trust. This study concludes that BAZNAS’s discourse transforms the meaning of Zakat from a traditional act of charity into a modern instrument of disaster governance and social resilience. By linking faith-based values with managerial and state-endorsed frameworks, BAZNAS strengthens its role as a central actor in Indonesia’s philanthropic ecosystem. The research contributes to the understanding of Islamic philanthropy, discourse, and power relations in the context of humanitarian crises. Abstrak Penelitian ini menginvestigasi bagaimana Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) membangun citra kelembagaan dan legitimasi dalam penanggulangan bencana melalui wacana. Dengan menggunakan kerangka Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Teun A. van Dijk, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dimensi tekstual, kognitif, dan kontekstual dari narasi respons bencana BAZNAS. Studi ini menganalisis publikasi resmi, siaran pers, dan laporan media untuk mengungkap bagaimana bahasa digunakan secara strategis dalam membentuk persepsi publik terhadap BAZNAS sebagai aktor kemanusiaan yang berbasis keagamaan sekaligus profesional. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BAZNAS menggabungkan legitimasi Syariah (diperkuat oleh Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia No. 66/2022), legitimasi teknokratis (melalui sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015), serta legitimasi politik (melalui dukungan pejabat negara). Lapisan-lapisan wacana tersebut memosisikan BAZNAS sebagai lembaga kuasi-negara yang menjembatani kewajiban keagamaan dengan profesionalisme birokratis. Pada tataran superstruktur, narasi menonjolkan respons cepat, efisiensi organisasi, dan tata kelola yang terstruktur; sementara analisis pada level mikro menyoroti strategi retoris seperti kuantifikasi, metafora heroisme, dan transparansi digital yang memperkuat kredibilitas dan kepercayaan publik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa wacana BAZNAS mentransformasikan makna zakat dari sekadar tindakan amal tradisional menjadi instrumen modern tata kelola bencana dan ketangguhan sosial. Dengan mengaitkan nilai-nilai keagamaan dengan kerangka manajerial dan dukungan negara, BAZNAS memperkuat perannya sebagai aktor sentral dalam ekosistem filantropi di Indonesia.
