Abstract

Latar belakang. Screen based activity pada anak adalah segala aktivitas yang dilakukan anak berkaitan dengan penggunaan media berbasis layar (televisi, komputer, video game, dan gadget). Anak yang mempunyai aktivitas berbasis layar lebih panjang dilaporkan mempunyai risiko lebih besar untuk mengalami obesitas dibandingkan anak dengan aktivitas berbasis layar lebih rendah. Screen based activity lebih dari 2 jam/hari akan meningkatkan risiko kegemukan. Aktivitas berbasis layar akan mengurangi aktivitas fisik anak. Kurangnya aktivitas fisik menjadi salah satu faktor risiko kegemukan dan obesitas.Tujuan. Untuk menganalisis hubungan screen based activity dengan status gizi anak sekolah dasar di Kota Kupang.Metode. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional. Responden penelitian adalah siswa kelas I dan II. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 170 siswa.Hasil. Responden lebih lama melakukan aktivitas menonton televisi dan bermain handphone dalam seminggu dibandingkan aktivitas berkaitan dengan layar lainnya. Responden yang menghabiskan waktu >28 jam seminggu untuk melakukan screen based activity sebanyak 30,59% . Jika dilihat berdasarkan jenis kelamin, maka lebih banyak perempuan yang melakukan screen based activity ≤28 jam seminggu dibandingkan laki-laki. Lebih banyak responden yang memiliki status gizi normal. Hasil uji statistik membuktikan tidak ada hubungan antara status gizi dengan screen based activity (p-value 0.86).Kesimpulan. Siswa yang melakukan screen based activity >28 jam cukup banyak. Oleh karena itu, perlu perhatian orang tua dan guru untuk mengurangi screen based activity siswa sehingga nantinya tidak banyak siswa yang mengalami kelebihan gizi.

Abstract

Latar belakang. Anak sekolah dasar merupakan sasaran strategis dalam perbaikan gizi masyarakat. Hal ini menjadi penting karena anak sekolah merupakan generasi penerus tumpuan bangsa sehingga perlu dipersiapkan kualitasnya, baik fisik maupun mental. Pertumbuhan fisik yang baik sangat ditunjang oleh pola makan yang sehat dan bergizi.Tujuan. Mengetahui pola makan anak sekolah dasar di Kota KupangMetode. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional. Responden penelitian adalah siswa kelas I dan II. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 170 siswa.Hasil. Semua responden mengalami defisit karbohidrat, protein, dan lemak karena kurangnya konsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat gizi makro tersebut. Ikan menjadi lauk hewani yang paling sering dikonsumsi, sedangkan lauk nabati yang dikonsumsi responden tidak bervariasi, yaitu tempe, tahu, dan kacang merah. Konsumsi sayur dan buah cukup rendah pada responden.Kesimpulan. Semua responden mengalami defisit asupan zat gizi. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh kurang bervariasinya makanan yang dikonsumsi setiap hari sehingga perlu adanya perhatian dari pihak orang tua, sekolah dan dinas terkait untuk memecahkan masalah ini.

Abstract

Background. Traditionally, malnutrition is influenced by food availability in the community, weak economic development, poverty, climate issues, and war, and other contributing factors, such as the number of family members, the pattern of feeding and the prevalence of high infectious diseases. Another factor affecting the occurrence of malnutrition in infants is complementary feeding/MPASI. Feeding too early is 3.2 times can cause malnutrition. The timing of complementary feeding (MPASI) is also related to the occurrence of stunting. Objective. To find out the description of complementary feeding (MPASI) and nutritional status of infants in Tuak Daun Merah Village. Method. A cross sectional study was used for this research. It was conducted in the Village of Tuak Daun Merah, Kupang City. The research started from January to July 2018. The population of this research was mothers of infants aged 6-24 months with a total 193 people and samples amounting to 66 people. Sampling used simple random sampling technique. Results. Female (57.6%) respondents are more than men (42.4%). Most of the respondents were in the age group of 12-24 months (63.7%). There was 2 severe malnutrition status of new-born babies (baby under 2 months) who got an early MPASI and 6 babies have malnutrition; 3 babies who received an early MPASI have very short body of their nutritional status, while 11 babies experience short nutrition; and 1 baby who got an early MPASI has a very underweight nutritional status while 5 babies are underweight. Conclusion. Infants who got an early MPASI can have a negative impact on their growth and development. Every mother should be aware of the importance of giving MPASI on time and giving a nutritious food to prevent children from nutritional problems. Abstract

Siswa sekolah dasar merupakan kelompok yang mulai terlibat pada banyak aktivitas, terutama di sekolah, sehingga membutuhkan asupan zat gizi yang cukup. Pemenuhan asupan zat gizi dapat dimulai dengan sarapan teratur setiap hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh media edukasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa tentang sarapan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pre test - Post test Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 123 siswa kelas 4 dan 5 SDI Oebufu, Kota Kupang yang dipilih menggunakan total sampling. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji paired sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian edukasi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa tentang sarapan (p value=0.000). Pihak sekolah perlu melakukan edukasi gizi secara rutin kepada siswa bekerjasama dengan petugas kesehatan agar mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap, serta dipraktekkan siswa setiap hari

Abstract

In today's world, COVID-19 has become a pandemic. It spreads swiftly and kills a lot of people. The COVID-19 epidemic has resulted in numerous societal changes. The community must develop health procedures and improve healthy habits as a result of the changes. A nutritious diet at all levels of society, including students, is one of the healthy lifestyles that must be followed by the community. The A cross-sectional design was adopted in this investigation. The study took place at the Health Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Kupang, from June to December 2020. The research sample consisted of 204 students who were chosen using a simple random sampling. The role of parents (p value = 0.00) and student nutritional behavior (p value = 0.00) are factors connected to student eating patterns, according to the findings of this study. Not connected to the student's diet include father's education (p value = 0.88), mother's education (p value = 0.72), father's occupation (p value = 0.64), mother's occupation (p value = 0.91), and nutrition knowledge (p value = 0.20). During the COVID-19 epidemic, diet plays a crucial role in developing students immunity. As a result, it is vital to provide ongoing education so that students can adopt healthy eating pattern. Abstract

Iron Nutritional Anemia is Anemia that arises due to iron deficiency so that the formation of red blood cells and other functions in body disrupted. Nutritional anemia is very common in Indonesia an occur in every age groups. Riskesdas 2018 found that is increase in cases of anemia in young women. In 2013, there is 37,1 percent of young women experienced anemia. The largest proportion of anemia occurs in the age group 15 – 24 years, and those aged 25 to 34 years. The purpose of this study was to describe the diet of young women, and to analyze the effectiveness of nutrition education on increasing the knowledge of young women about nutritional anemia in Kupang City. The sample in this study were 30 young women. The research was conducted in May until October 2022. The result found that there were differences in knowledge before and after being given education with a value of p = 0.000, and the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of educational methods on changes in knowledge showed that there were no significant differences of three methods on changes in knowledge of young women p = 0.532. to describe the dietary pattern of respondents, it is known that the highest energy consumption is in the sufficient category (43.33%), the highest protein consumption in in the sufficient category (33,33%), and the highest iron consumption in in the less category (93,33%).
