Abstract

Earthquake events are disasters that cannot be predicted and have the possibility of recurring. The earthquake that hit Cianjur Regency on November 22 2022 provided lessons in dealing with and evaluating affected areas and sectors so that going forward it would be able to reduce victims and damage. Cugenang District is one of the sub-districts affected by the earthquake, plus a fault zone or Cugenang Fault has been identified. One of the sectors affected is the education sector, especially elementary schools in their teaching and learning activities. This study aims to identify the distribution pattern of elementary schools as a trigger factor for evaluating locations with an earthquake risk index level. As for the evaluation, the Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA) method and overlay analysis were used so that a random distribution pattern was obtained in Elementary Schools that followed settlements, and Elementary Schools with high levels of damage were obtained in locations with high earthquake indexes so that they were used as basis for consideration of relocation. Abstract

A landslide is a disaster that often occurs in Indonesia, especially in morphology that has rough topography. This disaster is caused by faults, natural factors such as rainfall, topography, soil type, rock type, and human activity factors such as changes in land covered by a land cover or other factors related to landslide triggers. This research is located in the northern part of the Cianjur residency, this area is located between active volcanic mountains which have a distribution of sedimentary rocks and volcanic rocks, which are included in the Bandung physiographic zone, and have the new Cugenang fault. The unit of analysis is districts, which consist of 10 sub-districts. The purpose of this study was to analyze the landslide hazard distribution in the northern part of the Cianjur regency. The study used a sptial approach by using the weight overlay method for all parameters that have previously been analyzed and interpolated. The results of this study are very high Susceptibility covering 0.06%, high Susceptibility 47.49%, moderate Susceptibility 52%, and low Susceptibility 0.01%. The most vulnerable area is Sukaresmi, and the sub-district with moderate Susceptibility is Cikalong Kulon, while the low and high Susceptibility is relatively scattered in all areas with a small percentage. Based on the parameters analyzed, it means that rainfall and slope are the dominant driving factors in landslide Susceptibility in the northern part of the Cianjur regency because they have a large weight. This study provides a classification related to landslide susceptibility mapping in the northern part of Cianjur.

Abstract

Abstract:  South Cikarang is one of the 23 sub-districts in Bekasi Regency. South Cikarang experienced a population increase of 15.03% within 12 years. On the other hand, this sub-district has an Industrial Allotment Area based on the 2011-2031 Bekasi Regency Spatial Plans (RTRW). If the population increase in the South Cikarang Subdistrict is not matched by a spatial arrangement of areas, this can lead to spatial conflicts. Therefore, this study evaluates the Industrial Allotment Area in South Cikarang District by creating a spatial model based on the Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation (SMCE) method. This spatial model uses 4 variables as spatial factors and 1 variable as spatial constraints. The variables used as spatial factors are distance from roads, distance from rivers, distance from settlements and slopes. Meanwhile, the variable used as a spatial constraint is the Industrial Allotment Area from the 2011-2031 RTRW. The result of this study is that the percentage of suitability for Industrial Designated Areas between the spatial model and the 2011-2031 RTRW is 59.51%. It is hoped that this research can provide spatial input to the regional government in an effort to structuring a sustainable Industrial Estate in Cikarang Selatan District.

Abstract

Babirusa (Babyrousa celebensis) is an endemic animal from Gorontalo Province whose population is declining day by day due to poaching, land clearing, and selling babirusa meat in traditional markets in Gorontalo Province. Since 1931 this species has begun to be protected in Indonesia, and since 2008, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) named the babirusa species as a vulnerable category. This study aims to determine the suitability of babirusa habitat areas (Babyrousa celebensis) in Gorontalo Province with a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach and to determine the relationship of physical characteristics for the habitat of the babirusa habitat in Gorontalo Province. The variables are land use, slope, and elevation. The method used is GIS spatial modeling with overlay analysis. From the results of the analysis, it has concluded that a suitable area as a babirusa habitat is only about 33% of the total area of Gorontalo Province and there are types of land use in the wilderness and swamps at an elevation of 0-500 msl with sloping 0-8%. The validation test shows that Coefficient kappa is 0.16 and overall accuracy is 58%. Therefore, further research is needed by adding other variables to delineate the spatial distribution of babirusa

Abstract

The land is a landscape on the earth's surface, dynamic to changes, such as converting to settlements. Settlement is driven by changes in population, the greater the population, the greater the need for land to be converted into housing. Based on data from 2018 to 2022, there has been an increasing population in the South Jambi sub-district, which is a strong indication of residential development. This research aims to evaluate the suitability of settlements in the South Jambi sub-district in 2022, using five variables namely, distance from the road, distance from the river, slope, soil type, and flood hazard index. The method of analysis uses the Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis (SMCA) method. The research results show that the South Jambi sub-district is dominated by the suitable criteria of 568.0 hectares or 86.4%, very suitable criteria obtain 5.8 hectares or 0.9%, and somewhat suitable areas of 80.8 hectares or 12.3%. This means that the South Jambi area has a relatively high level of suitability for settlement. It is hoped that these results can provide information for various stakeholders in determining areas that are suitable for residential development, especially those that are at risk of flooding.

Abstract

Geoinformatics is spatial information based on characteristics and analysis regarding spatial data. Water is the main component of human life with clean water, especially drinking water found from various sources, including spring water. Water quality is a global standard as a chemical, physical, and biological parameter. The study aims to determine the potential spring water based on spatial analysis of water quality standards for potential use. The method used to determine the potential utilization of springs using geographic information system analysis. Data is based on the difference in height, slope, and distance from springs to settlements and discharge. Water quality samples are analyzed using mobile and laboratory tests. The result found that physical parameters from five locations, Sirah Citanggulun, Cikerebek, Cijati, Cijati 2, and Galumpit, have good quality to meet the utilization requirements, especially for water designation class. Chemically parameters, water quality, is relatively good based on several parameters such as pH, Nitrite, dissolved iron, and zinc, which do not exceed the required quality standard threshold. The biological parameters, five samples are contaminated by bacteria Escherichia coli and total coliform. Regarding the literature review, this research found that biological contaminants are unsuitable for drinking water, but it is still good to become another used. The research concluded that the spring water in a small village could become potential uses for drinking water based on the parameter of water quality for daily use, especially for drinking water, regarding biological parameters that spring water must be boiled to drink.
