Abstract

This study aims to map the trends in the development of technopreneurship learning tools in Vocational High Schools by analyzing the development models, core components, and pedagogical implications to identify research gaps. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach and PICo framework, this study selected five relevant articles from Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Dimensions databases for the period 2021-2025. The results of the data analysis show that the ADDIE and Borg & Gall development models are the most dominant because of their systematic structure in ensuring technical and pedagogical quality. The main components of the learning tool focus on three main aspects: digital technology integration, strengthening 21st-century skills (4Cs), and technical mastery of entrepreneurial management. Pedagogically, the implementation of these tools has been proven effective in improving student learning outcomes, motivation, and independence, as well as transforming the role of teachers into facilitators in the digital ecosystem. Despite the positive impact, a research gap was found in that current development is still limited to independent modules and has not touched on the formation of a comprehensive digital entrepreneurship ecosystem to overcome the low level of students' digital-preneurship skills in the field.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a career readiness instrument for vocational high school students in the Software Engineering and Computer and Network Engineering programs. The instrument was developed by adapting three main constructs related to career readiness: career interests, individual potential, and soft skills. This study employs an instrument development approach that includes the stages of literature review, formulation of indicators and item statements, expert validation, as well as testing the validity and reliability of the instrument. Interest indicators were adapted from the RIASEC theory proposed by Holland, potential indicators were adapted from Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences concept, while soft skills indicators were adapted from work competency concepts relevant to industry needs. The developed instrument was validated by three experts, consisting of one guidance and counseling expert and two industry practitioners serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Human Resources (HR) professionals. After undergoing a revision process, the instrument was pilot-tested on 30 vocational high school students in the Software Engineering and Computer and Network Engineering programs. The validity test results showed that most items met the validity criteria, while several items were eliminated because they had correlation values below the specified threshold. The reliability test results showed a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.946 for the interest instrument, 0.929 for the potential instrument, and 0.982 for the soft skills instrument, indicating a very high level of internal consistency. The results of this study indicate that the developed instruments are valid and reliable for measuring the career readiness of vocational high school students and can be used as tools in career guidance services in the field of information technology.

Abstract

Indonesian Sign Language (Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia/BISINDO) enables communication for deaf individuals through hand gestures, yet limited public awareness creates significant barriers between deaf and hearing communities. Existing recognition systems often fail to generalize across diverse skin tones, reducing their effectiveness in inclusive real-world deployment. The contribution of this research is a BISINDO alphabet recognition system that integrates skin color features - extracted via HSV-based skin segmentation - as an additional preprocessing layer within the Faster R-CNN framework, explicitly improving detection robustness across varied skin tones. The dataset consists of 8,000 images from ten adult actors representing light, medium-brown, and dark skin tones, augmented through flipping and brightness variation, with a 90:10 training-to-testing ratio. The model was trained over 15,000 steps with a batch size of 24, selected through empirical validation to balance convergence stability and dataset size. Experimental results show that indoor conditions outperform outdoor settings due to controlled lighting. Light-skinned and dark-skinned participants achieved the highest accuracy of 87.5% and F1-score of 85.71%, while medium-brown-skinned participants showed slightly lower performance, likely attributed to greater variability in reflectance under mixed lighting. The system achieves 24 frames per second, demonstrating potential for real-time communication support. These findings confirm that Faster R-CNN with skin color feature integration is effective for BISINDO alphabet recognition, with skin tone diversity being a critical performance factor. Future work will explore larger participant pools and dynamic gesture recognition under varied real-world lighting scenarios.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the Samsung Tech Institute Industrial Class learning process at SMK Turen and to find out the factors that cause the low absorption of Samsung Tech Institute Industrial Class graduates to Samsung companies and get recommendations in order to increase the absorption of Samsung Tech Institute Industrial Class graduates in Samsung Companies. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection using documentation, observation and interview techniques and is supported using questionnaire data which is validated by triangulation data. The results of the study, the school has made various efforts to equip students to be ready to enroll in the Samsung Company both from the curriculum and learning modules and programs that support the improvement of students' competencies in the world of work and in conclusion samsung industrial class graduates experience reluctance to register or apply for jobs at the Samsung Company, due to low motivation and many graduates feel anxious about facing the strict rules and work demands make them hesitate and lack of understanding that employment opportunities at Samsung can offer many career benefits in the future.
