Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between mathematical disposition and self-efficacy and mathematical reasoning ability. Quantitative research is used. The non-test research instrument consisted of independent variables, namely self-ability (X1), mathematical disposition (X2), and bound variables, namely mathematical reasoning (Y). This study involved grade IV students of SD MIN 3 Gunungsitoli City for the 2023/2024 school year with a sample of 63 people. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale and a mathematical reasoning ability test. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that self-efficacy influenced mathematical reasoning ability with a path coefficient value of 0.144, mathematical disposition influenced mathematical reasoning ability with a path coefficient value of 0.489, and self-efficacy and mathematical disposition simultaneously affected mathematical reasoning ability of 7.655

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship betwen learning facilities and the family environment on student science learning motivation. The background to this research is based on the importance of these two factors in supporting the learning process. Adequate learning facilities, such as book, teaching aids and accsess to thecnology, are expected to increase student interest and motivation in learning science. Apart from that, a supportive family environment, such as good communication between parents and children and encouragement to learn, also contributes to student learning motivation. The data collection method used in this research in quantitative data, which allows researchers to find out how strong the relationship is between the variabels of learning facilities and family environment and learning motivation. Data was collected throught questionnaires distributed to student at school. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant positive relationship between learning facilities and the family environment on science learning motivation, which means that the better the facilities and family support, the higher the students learning motivation. It is hoped that this reseach will provide insigh for educators and parents regarding the importance of creating a supportive learning environment to increase student learning motivation in the field of science

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the synectic learning model on the ability to write poetry of elementary school students. Although writing poetry is recognized as important for improving language skills and creativity, many learners face challenges such as starting to write, choosing the right diction, and staying motivated. To address this problem, this study applies a synectic model that encourages creativity through analogical thinking. Conducted in an elementary school with 58 participants, this quantitative study used SPSS version 25 for data analysis, including validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests. This study is quantitative research with data collection techniques using questionnaires. Hypothesis testing is carried out by t-test (Partial Test). The results showed that the synectic model significantly improved the ability to write poetry with a t-count value of 4.512 (p < 0.05). This suggests that the synectic model has a positive influence on poetry writing ability, suggesting that creative learning approaches can effectively improve students' writing skills and creativity

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and mathematical disposition to students' mathematical reasoning ability. The research method used is a quantitative research method. The sample of this study is 65 students, who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique is using a questionnaire. The data analysis used included normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test followed by associative hypothesis test and multiple linear regression. The results in the study showed that there was no multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity in the data. In the results of the associative hypothesis test, the variables of self-efficacy and mathematical disposition influenced the variable of mathematical reasoning ability by 78.10 percent. The influence of self-efficacy and mathematical disposition itself has a positive influence on the mathematical reasoning ability of students in elementary school

Abstract

The increasing availability of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools has begun to influence teaching, learning, and assessment practices in elementary education, including portfolio-based assessment in science learning. This study explores pre-service elementary teachers’ perceptions toward the use of AI in science portfolio creation. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, data were collected from 15 pre-service elementary teachers through semi-structured interviews and written reflections. The data were analyzed thematically to identify shared perceptions, perceived benefits, and perceived challenges related to AI integration in portfolio-based assessments. The findings revealed that the participants generally held cautiously positive perceptions of AI. They view AI as a supportive tool that can assist students in organizing ideas, improving the clarity of scientific explanations, enhancing visual presentation, and increasing efficiency in portfolio development. However, participants also expressed significant concerns regarding overreliance on AI, reduced critical thinking, authenticity of student work, ethical issues related to authorship and academic honesty, and data privacy. In addition, many participants reported limited preparation and confidence in using AI for instructional and assessment purposes. This study highlights the importance of teacher guidance and clear boundaries to ensure that AI functions as a learning aid rather than as a substitute for student thinking. These findings suggest the need for stronger integration of AI literacy, ethical awareness, and assessment design within teacher education programmes to support the responsible and pedagogically sound use of AI in elementary science education.
