Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the “NAWASENA” Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Karangpring Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency through training in producing dishwashing soap made from rose flowers. The program was initiated due to the abundant harvest of roses, which are commonly sold fresh at low prices, and the limited skills in processing them into value-added products. The implementation stages included survey, preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The training was carried out through demonstration and hands-on practice, enabling participants to gain comprehensive knowledge of soap-making techniques, packaging, and marketing strategies. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills, as evidenced by higher post-test scores compared to pre-test. The dishwashing soap produced has distinctive advantages, including a natural rose fragrance, eco-friendly properties, and potential to be developed into a community-based business. Therefore, this program successfully strengthened the group’s capacity to utilize local potential, increased the added value of agricultural products, and supported sustainable women’s economic empowerment. Keywords: Women Farmers Group, women empowerment, rose flower, dishwashing soap, training.
