Abstract

Kanal komunikasi sistem Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) melakukan pengiriman dan penerimaan sebuah sinyal informasi melalui pengelompokan simbol pada bagian penerima (receiver). FBMC merupakan salah satu metode yang lebih baik dibandingkan Ortoghonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) dalam proses modulasi karena sifat orthogonalitas yang membagi bandwidth untuk sub-saluran tetangga. Penggunaan modulasi Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OQAM) yang memiliki kestabilan sistem lebih baik dari QAM biasa dimana OQAM lebih kuat terhadap efek dispersi serta mampu memperbaiki proses decision dan memiliki kecepatan yang tinggi. Algoritma deteksi simbol yang digunakan adalah metode Zero Forcing (ZF). Istilah dari pengelompokan pada sisi penerima ini biasa disebut dengan demapper. Penelitian ini berfokus pada unjuk kerja K-NN (K-Nearest Neighbor) clustering yang menggantikan fungsi demapper FBMC pada biasanya. Demapper K-NN menggunakan metode Euclidean Distance yang mengelompokkan bit-bit dari blok diagram pasca pengolahan OQAM menuju diagram 16 QAM. Parameter unjuk kerja sistem pada penelitian ini yaitu diukur dengan Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) terhadap Bit Error Rate (BER) dan kapasitas saluran. Hasil penelitian menunujukan FBMC OQAM ZF demapper K-NN memiliki nilai BER lebih baik dibandingkan yang tidak menggunakan ZF. Peningkatan nilai SNR yang digunakan dapat menghasilkan nilai kapasitas kanal yang semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Abstrak- Perkembangan teknologi di era serba digital menjadikan penggunaan internet sebagai media baru dan sangat diperlukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Perkembangan ini menimbulkan tantangan bagi pembangunan ekonomi pedesaan. Desa harus mampu beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi dengan mengurangi kesenjangan digital melalui pengembangan desa digital. Digitalisasi desa bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi desa, mempermudah layanan publik dan mempercepat akses jaringan. Dalam mendukung penerapannya, pemerintah berupaya memberikan layanan internet dengan membangun infrastruktur teknologi jaringan Wi-Fi di pedesaan. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perencanan jaringan Wi-Fi untuk mendukung konsep desa digital di daerah Desa Setiajaya. Perencanaan jaringan dilakukan menggunakan software Atoll dengan metode perencanaan berdasarkan cakupan dan kapasitas yang disimulasikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan parameter simulasi seperti signal level dan traffic maps. Dari dua perencanaan yang sudah dilakukan, berdasarkan cakupan memiliki 4 access point (AP), sedangkan berdasarkan kapasitas memiliki 10 AP. Dari hasil yang telah diuji, perencanaan berdasarkan kapasitas lebih baik dibanding perencanaan berdasarkan cakupan. Data yang diperoleh adalah daerah Desa Setiajaya seluas 1,886 km2 tercakup oleh Wi-Fi dengan memiliki signal level kurang dari -90 dBm. Banyaknya user yang dapat terhubung dengan Wi-Fi sebanyak 59,7% (total 1916 user) dan mendapatkan nilai throughput sebesar 137,04 Mbps.

Abstract

Today’s communication technology development has entered the 5th generation (5G), where one of the solutions offered is device to device (D2D) communication. The scheme used in this study was cooperative D2D with Mobile User Equipment (MUE) located far from the eNodeB (eNB). The D2D User Equipment (DUE) served as a relay that helped MUE to improve service quality. The effect caused by D2D communication was interference. Therefore, the power control method was used to overcome this problem. This study used three comparative simulations, namely Without Power Control, using Power Control 1, and using Power Control 2. The scheme used in Power Control 1 was a fixed power control, while Power Control 2 used an adaptive power control. Using the Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF), Power Control 1 scheme could improve SINR by 0.124 dB for downlink and 0.0814 dB for uplink. Meanwhile, Power Control 2 scheme could increase SINR by 0.0316 dB for downlink and 0.0627 for uplink. Based on the final results related to SINR, throughput, and CDF, the Power Control 1 method has better results than the Power Control 2 method.

Abstract

High speed data transmision demands broader bandwidth. This has an effect towards the limitation of frequencies spectrum allocation as well as interference. To solve this, multi carrier modulation is one of choices. Having better power spectral density compared to OFDM, the FBMC-OQAM has been chosen as the multi carrier modulation. The FBMC is equipped with Poly Phase Network filter, makes it able to achieve better PSD. Frequently used filter, which is pre-emphasis, is popular in speech processing that is possibly able to be extended in use. Pre-emphasis is also accompanied with de-emphasis filter, which is similar to FBMC. Pre-emphasis filter suppresses low frequency magnitudes and emphasizes higher frequency. By assuming that noise presents in higher frequency, an approachment to protect audio signal by itself is proposed. Random noise is broadband signal where frequencies can have ranges from lower to higher with smaller magnitudes compared to signal. By providing slots in audio higher frequency and magnitudes, random noise occupied those slots with relatively weak magnitudes then sent through the air. At the receiver, a de-emphasis filter invert the process to restore signal by de-emphasizing higher frequency and removing noise as well. The result shows better BER with this approachment. For example, when Eb/No was 13 dB, BER with and without pre-emphasis are approximately 0.0184 dB and 0.0187 dB, consecutively. It means there was 250 bits or approximately 32 points has been corrected. It shows that pre-emphasis can work along with PPN FBMC filter to gain better BER values.

Abstract

Dalam sistem komunikasi radio microwave akan sulit didapatkan kinerja komunikasi yang optimal jika pada lintasan Line of Sight (LoS) masih terjadi penghalang (obstacle) yang mengganggu proses transmisi. Performansi jaringan komunikasi radio microwave dinilai berdasarkan keandalan sistem (availability) jaringan radio. Untuk meningkatkan availability dapat dilakukan optimasi dengan space diversity dan frequency diversity. Space diversity adalah teknik optimasi dengan penggunaan antena space diversity yang mendampingi antena utama.  Frequency diversity merupakan teknik diversity yang dapat mengoptimalkan jaringan gelombang mikro dengan menggunakan dua frekuensi gelombang mikro pada satu antena, baik pada sisi pemancar maupun penerima. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan perancangan menggunakan aplikasi Pathloss 5.0. Nilai non-diversity daerah urban Site Batulicin – Site Tanjung Serdang adalah 99,99529%. Pada space diversity bernilai 99,99988 meningkat 0,00459% dari non diversity. Pada frequency diversity bernilai 99,99952% meningkat 0,00423% dari non-diversity. Space diversity daerah urban Site Batulicin – Site Tanjung Serdang mencapai availability yang lebih baik. Nilai non-diversity daerah rural Site Tanjung Pengharapan – Site sekapung adalah 99,98019%. Pada space diversity bernilai 99,99846% meningkat 0,01827% dari non-diversity. Pada frequency diversity bernilai 99,99399% meningkat 0,0138% dari non-diversity. Space diversity daerah rural Site Tanjung Pengharapan – Site sekapung mencapai availability yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Technological developments in the Internet of Things (IoT) are growing rapidly, especially in agriculture. The lack of understanding of the development of IoT is the basis for the service team to conduct training for students and teachers. The service is carried out by the socialization method to students regarding IoT for agriculture. In practice, community service utilizes hydroponics that has been built in the SMK Yasti Cisaat Sukabumi area. After evaluating the implementation of community service, it can be seen that students have succeeded in understanding IoT based on artificial lighting and successfully implementing IoT tools in the school's hydroponic home. At the end of the activity, feedback is given as an effort to evaluate this community service activity. There are 5 statements in the questionnaire with an average result of 94.8%. These results show that the community service partners are very satisfied with the IoT training and hydroponic implementation.

Abstract

The 5G NR network planning covers the types of use scenarios and applications that include Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communications (URLLC), and Massive Machine Type Communications (MTC). Regarding multicarrier modulation schemes, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has become the most popular choice in previous technology, so OFDM is a strong candidate for its 5G NR technology application. However, OFDM has disadvantages such as higher PAPR and decreased bandwidth efficiency due to the addition of CP. These weaknesses can be overcome by the FBMC modulation scheme with Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OQAM) as a more efficient CP replacement for its implementation in 5G NR. This study analyzed the development of OQAM in Filter Bank multicarrier (FBMC) and compared it with using Cyclic Prefix (CP) based on OFDM using the AWGN channel. The first step of this research is to present an overview of the modulation scheme used. Next, compare the performance of FBMC-OQAM and CP-OFDM by analyzing several Bit Error Rate (BER) simulation results against the SNR value when both systems use the same simulation parameters. Based on the test results of each BER, both methods have different values, almost 2 dB for the same BER results. It indicates that the FBMC-OQAM system reached the BER value of 10-4 at SNR 15 dB. The CP-OFDM system, meanwhile, was able to achieve a BER value of 10-4 at SNR 17 dB. These results indicate that the FBMC-OQAM system is superior to CP-OFDM based on the BER values.

Abstract

The major problem of using light fidelity (Li-Fi) technology is still limited to the line of sight (LOS) conditions, which poses a challenge to perform bandwidth efficiency to support increased bit rates, especially for indoor use. In addition, the distance between the lamp driver (transmitter) and the receiver becomes a critical discussion to determine the characteristics of propagation losses. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing the performance of an indoor Li-Fi multiplexing system using a movable LED panel (LP) based on parameters of bit rate and distance variation on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) 2x2 and 4x4. The parameter analysis of signal quality included optical and electrical signal spectrum characteristics, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), bit error rate (BER), and Q-factor parameters. Based on the results, the increase in bit rate and distance significantly increases the BER value and decreases the Q-factor value. Both the 2x2 and 4x4 mux systems can meet standards up to a bit rate of 30 Mbps at a LOS distance of 3 meters, while at a bit rate of 40 Mbps, there are no channels that meet the ITU-T standard. In addition, the quality of the signal received at a distance of 4 meters, the 2x2 mux system can only reach the standard at a bit rate of 20 Mbps for all channels. However, channel 3 and channel 4 on the 4x4 mux system model still have the BER and Q-factor values that meet the standard in the bit rate of 30 Mbps. However, the decrease in the SNR value affected by the bit rate increase and distance is insignificant. Therefore, it becomes an opportunity for further observation of the proposed multiplexing system, detection scheme, or responsivity, and signal processing on the receiver side to be reliable on the higher bit rate.
