Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa melukis sudut di kelas VII SMP Swadaya Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan MC. Taggart, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, obervasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Swadaya Palu yang berjumlah 26 siswa yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Jumlah subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa dan terpilih 3 siswa sebagai informan. Kriteria keberhasilan tindakan pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) data hasil aktivitas guru , data hasil aktivitas siswa, dan data keterampilan siswa dalam pelaksanaan fase-fase model pembelajaran langsung pada lembar observasi minimal berkategori baik, (2) keterampilan siswa pada materi melukis sudut meningkat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran langsung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa melukis sudut dengan mengikuti fase-fase model pembelajaran langsung sebagai berikut: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan mempersiapkan siswa, 2) mendemonstrasikan pengetahuan atau keterampilan, 3) membimbing pelatihan, 4) mengecek pemahaman dan memberi umpan balik, dan 5) memberikan kesempatan untuk pelatihan lanjutan dan penerapan. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan melalui aktivitas guru pada siklus I tergolong kategori baik dengan total skor 34, dan aktivitas guru pada siklus II tergolong kategori sangat baik dengan total skor 39. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus I tergolong kategori baik dengan total skor 35, dan aktivitas siswa pada siklus II tergolong kategori sangat baik dengan total skor 39. Keterampilan siswa melukis sudut pada siklus I yaitu siswa yang terampil melukis sudut sebanyak 8 siswa, cukup terampil 14 siswa, dan tidak terampil 4 siswa, sedangkan pada siklus II yaitu siswa yang terampil melukis sudut sebanyak 13 siswa, cukup terampil 11 siswa, dan tidak terampil 2 siswa. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Langsung, keterampilan melukis, melukis sudut Abstrak: The purpose of this research is to describe the application of direct learning models that can improve the students’ skill in painting angles in class VII of SMP Swadaya Palu. This type of research is classroom action research which refers to the research design of Kemmis and MC. Taggart, which is planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were all students of class VII of SMP Swadaya Palu, with the total numbers were 26 students enrolled in the 2017/2018 school year. The number of subjects in this research were 26 students and 3 students were selected as informants. The success criteria of the action in this research were: (1) data on teacher activity results, students’ activity data, and students’ skill data. The minimal category of the implementation of the phases of the direct learning model on the observation is good, (2) Students’ learning result in painting angles increase. The results of this study indicate that the application of the direct learning model can improve students' skills in painting angles by following the phases of the direct learning model as follows: 1) conveying the objectives and preparing students, 2) demonstrating knowledge or skills, 3) guiding training, 4) checking understanding and giving feedback, and 5) provide opportunities for advanced training and implementation. The increase was shown through teacher activities in the first cycle classified as good with a total score of 34, and teacher activities in the second cycle classified as very good category with a total score of 39. Student activities in the first cycle were classified as good with a total score of 35, and student activities in the cycle II is classified as a very good category with a total score of 39. The skills of students to paint angles in cycle I are students who are skilled in painting corn as many as 8 students, quite skilled 14 students, and unskilled 4 students, while in cycle II are students who are skilled in painting angles as many as 13 students, quite skilled 11 students, and not skilled 2 students. Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak menggunakan definisi di kelas X MIA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Palu. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak menggunakan definisi, yaitu: 1) mempersiapkan siswa dan menyampaikan tujuan, peneliti menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran secara lisan dan mempersiapkan siswa untuk belajar, 2) menyajikan informasi, peneliti memberikan motivasi dengan menekankan bahwa materi yang akan dipelajari sangat penting, menjelaskan cara kerja tongkat serta instrument musik dan menginformasikan tentang materi yang dipelajari 3) mengorganisir siswa ke dalam tim-tim belajar, peneliti membentuk 7 kelompok belajar yang terdiri dari 5 sampai 6 siswa setiap kelompok, 4) membantu kerja tim dan belajar, peneliti membagikan LKPD pada tiap-tiap kelompok, menjelaskan cara kerja LKPD dan menegaskan untuk saling bekerja sama dengan teman-teman kelompoknya, 5) mengevaluasi, peneliti menjalankan tongkat secara estafet dengan bantuan instrumen musik dan memberikan pertanyaan kepada siswa pemegang tongkat saat musik diberhetikan, dan 6) memberikan pengakuan atau penghargaaan, peneliti memberikan penghargaan kepada kelompok terbaik berupa pujian dan hadiah yang sudah disiapkan. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick, kemampuan, persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak. ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the application of cooperative learning model type talking stick can improve students' ability to solve equations and absolute value inequality using definition in class X MIA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Palu. This research is a classroom action research that refers to the design research of Kemmis and Mc.Taggart planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the application of cooperative learning type of talking stick type can improve students' ability to solve equation and absolute value inequality using definition following phases, that is: 1) prepare the students and convey the purpose, the researcher deliver the learning objectives orally and prepare the students to learn, 2) presenting information, researching motivation by emphasizing that the material to be studied is very important, explaining the workings of the baton and the musical instrument and informing the material learned 3) organizing the students into the learning teams, the researchers formed 7 study groups consisting of 5 to 6 students in each group, 4) assisting teamwork and learning, researchers distributing LKPD to each group, explaining the workings of LKPD and asserting to work with their group's friends, 5) evaluating, the researcher runs the baton in a relay with aids an musical instrument and provide questions to the student's stick holder while the music is purged, 6) giving recognition or appreciation, the researcher rewarded the best group of praise and prizes that had been prepared Keywords: Cooperative learning model type talking stick, ability, equality and absolute value inequality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang penerapan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 7 Palu yang berlangsung dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 7 Palu pada materi luas permukaan dan volume limas, dengan enam tahap sebagai berikut: 1) stimulasi, yaitu siswa diberikan rangsangan berupa masalah pada LKS bagian A untuk menemukan luas permukaan dan volume limas; 2) identifikasi masalah, yaitu siswa mengidentifikasi masalah pada LKS bagian A; 3) pengumpulan data, yaitu siswa mengiris alat peraga model limas sehingga membentuk jaring-jaring kemudian menggambar jaring-jaring tersebut pada siklus I, serta melakukan percobaan menemukan rumus volume limas dengan bantuan volume prisma kemudian menggambar model prisma dan limas tersebut pada siklus II; 4) pengolahan data, yaitu setiap kelompok menggunakan data yang diperoleh untuk menemukan dan menyelesaikan luas permukaan dan volume limas pada LKS bagian B dan kegiatan 2; 5) verifikasi, yaitu setiap kelompok mengerjakan tugas tambahan kemudian menukarkan hasil pekerjaannya dengan kelompok tukarnya untuk membuktikan kebenaran rumus luas permukaan dan volume limas serta kebenaran dalam menyelesaikan soal tentang luas permukaan dan volume limas; 6) generalisasi, yaitu siswa menyimpulkan tentang langkah-langkah menemukan luas permukaan dan volume limas serta rumus luas permukaan dan volume limas. Abstract: This study aims to describe the application of guided discovery learning models to improve the ability of class VIII A students of SMP 7 Palu which took place in 2 cycles. The results showed that learning by applying a guided discovery learning model can improve the ability of class VIII A SMP Negeri 7 Palu on the material surface area and volume of pyramid, with six stages as follows: 1) stimulation, ie students are given stimulation in the form of problems in worksheet part A to find the surface area and volume of pyramid; 2) problem identification, namely students identify problems in worksheet part A; 3) data collection, namely students slicing the pyramid model props so that they form nets then draw the nets in the first cycle, as well as conducting experiments to find the pyramid volume formula with the help of prism volume then drawing the prism and pyramid model in cycle II; 4) data processing, that is, each group uses data obtained to find and complete the surface area and volume of pyramid in section B and activities 2; 5) verification, that is, each group is working on additional tasks then exchanging the results of their work with the exchange group to prove the truth of the formula for surface area and volume and the truth in solving questions about surface area and volume of pyramid; 6) generalization, namely students conclude about the steps to find the surface area and volume of pyramid and the formula for surface area and volume of pyramid.Keywords: guided discovery learning model; ability to find and complete the surface area and volume of ​​the pyramid

Abstract

Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat di kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Palu yang berjumlah 31 orang dan dipilih 3 orang siswa sebagai informan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada tes akhir siklus I terdapat 20 orang siswa yang tuntas dan 11 orang siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal yangdicapai sebesar 64,51%. Sedangkan pada siklus II terdapat 24 siswa yang tuntas dan 6 siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal yang dicapai sebesar 80,00%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswakelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Palu pada materi persamaan kuadrat, dengan tahapannya yaitu: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, 2) menyampaikan informasi, 3) mengorganisasikan siswa dalam kelompok-kelompok belajar, 4) membimbing kelompok bekerja dan belajar, 5) evaluasi, 6) memberikan penghargaan.

Abstract

The integration of ICT in learning is a component of 21st-century learning. Science and technology always develop rapidly from time to time. The purpose of this study is to determine the knowledge and abilities of junior high school mathematics teachers in STEM learning. This research was also conducted to determine student knowledge related to STEM learning. This study used a mixed method. The results showed that most junior high school mathematics teachers in the Donggala district did not understand STEM/STEAM learning. The teacher has also not been able to apply the STEM/STEAM approach in the learning process. Therefore, it is hoped that mathematics teachers in the Donggala district can apply a STEAM-based approach combined with local wisdom in the Donggala district. And it is necessary to conduct training to improve teacher competencies related to STEM learning.

Abstract

Completion of story problems by students needs to be profiled so that teachers can know the description or description of students' abilities in solving story problems. This study aims to obtain a profile of the completion of the circle tangent story problem by students of class IX E SMPN 5 Palu. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this study showed that SH was able to do the problem correctly as the steps of solving the story problem. Then the results of EZ's solution show that there is an unfinished solution so that the answer obtained is wrong. Then the results of FR's completion showed that he was unable to solve the problem as the steps of solving the story problem so that the answer obtained was incorrect. Based on the results of this study, the researcher draws the conclusion that the profile of solving students' story problems varies based on students' mathematical abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is: to describe students' mistakes in solving Pythagorean Theorem problems at SMP Negeri 9 Palu using qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were 3 students who were taken from 26 students who had studied the Pythagorean theorem. The selection of research subjects took into account: (1) these students made more mistakes; (2) different errors; (3) represent mistakes made by other students; (4) students' ability to communicate well and (5) recommendations from math teachers. Data collection techniques used are assignments and interviews. The analysis in this study uses Gagne's theory. The results of this study indicate that some of the mistakes students experienced in solving Pythagorean theorem problems were: (1) Subjects EN and SF made mistakes in using the Pythagorean theorem formula; (2) Subjects EN and SF made mistakes in writing mathematical symbols; (3) Subjects EN, MR and SF made mistakes in determining the hypotenuse of a right triangle; (4) Subjects EN, MR and SF made the mistake of not using the rank; (5) Subjects EN, MR and SF made mistakes in not writing down work procedures completely and accurately and (6) Subjects SF made mistakes in not doing calculations correctly.

Abstract

Students' understanding of concepts needs to be profiled so that teachers can find out the description and understanding of students' mathematical conceptsThis study aims to obtain a description or description of students' understanding of the concept of value comparison material and value turning at SMP Negeri 1 Ampibabo. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class VII A at SMP Negeri 1 Ampibabo, which consisted of one student each with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities and good communication skills according to the teacher's recommendations. The results of this study are that students with high mathematical abilities are able to use the four indicators to understand the concept, and students with moderate mathematical abilities are able to use the four indicators to understand the concept. However, they are still mistaken in distinguishing comparisons of equivalent and reverse values, and students with low mathematical abilities are only able to use three indicators of conceptual understanding in working on comparison questions of value and return value.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a description of the problem-solving profile of two-variable linear equation systems of MTs Al-Khairat Tomini students based on the student's learning styles. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of this research were three students in class VIII B MTs Al-Khairat tomini, each consisting of one student with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data on student problem-solving was obtained from written tests and interviews. Thisresearch shows that the subject (IN) carries out the problem-solving plan by the solution plan questions, and the subject did not recheck the problem-solving because he did not understand how to do it. The subject (MA) carries out the problem-solving plan by the problem solving plan, and the subject can check and solve questions by checking the written answers again.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of solving problems of derivatives of algebraic functions. This type of research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach based on the problem solving stages of Polya. The determination of the research subject was based on the results of daily mathematics tests for the 2021/2022 school year and recommendations from the mathematics teacher. Data collection was carried out by giving assignments and interviews. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the stages of understanding the problems of students with high, medium and low mathematical abilities are identifying problem information, namely things that are known and asked through statements and command sentences correctly. 2) the stage of making a problem-solving plan for students with high mathematical abilities uses the concept of derivatives of algebraic functions to correctly determine the speed and acceleration, students with moderate mathematical abilities are right to the wrong speed and acceleration, while students with low mathematical ability to determine the correct speed and acceleration are wrong. 3) the stage of carrying out the problem-solving plan for students with high mathematical abilities carrying out the problem-solving plan correctly, students with mathematical abilities carrying out the problem-solving plan at the right speed but not the right acceleration, while students with low mathematical ability carrying out the problem-solving plan incorrectly. 4) the stage of re-examining the problem solving of students with high mathematical abilities checked again correctly, students with medium and low mathematical abilities did not re-check their answers.
