Abstract

Papua Selatan occur land conflicts are a very important matter because they arise from unclear ownership of land and use of natural resources. Sentuh Tanahku Application is a digital innovation to enhance the transparency and access to information on ownership and use of land. The research examines the Utilization of this application in the mitigation of land conflict while considering their implications for sustainable environmental development. This is a qualitative method type of research with a literature study approach which emphasizes secondary data as sources that can be analyzed through the use of NVivo software. The results and findings indicated that the "Sentuh Tanahku" application was developed to minimize conflicts through the provision of transparent and accurate information about land boundaries. Digital maps, verification mechanisms for ownership rights, dispute reporting, and regulatory access are among other features provided by the app to promote transparency thus reducing uncertainty or ambiguity surrounding property rights which serve as roots for disputes. The “Sentuh Tanahku” Application can be used to report conflicts and actions taken on a factual basis thereby mitigating land disputes while also promoting environmental sustainability through the adoption of responsible and sustainable land use practices in Papua Selatan.

Abstract

Pelatihan Pembuatan Informasi Profil dan Potensi Desa merupakan inisiatif penting untuk memperkuat kapasitas aparatur Desa Lawoila, Kecamatan Konda, Kabupaten Konawe Selatan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan pada 26 Agustus 2023 di Balai Desa Lawoila, dengan tujuan utama mengembangkan kemampuan aparatur desa dalam pembuatan dan pengelolaan informasi digital yang efektif. Pelatihan ini dihadiri oleh dua pemateri yang memberikan pencerahan mengenai teknis pembuatan website dan pengelolaan konten digital. Melalui sesi teori, praktek, dan diskusi interaktif, peserta diajarkan cara-cara praktis untuk memperbaiki visibilitas digital desa dan mempromosikan potensi lokal kepada khalayak lebih luas. Hasil dari pelatihan ini diharapkan meningkatkan keterampilan digital aparatur desa dan memfasilitasi pengembangan ekonomi lokal melalui peningkatan informasi profil dan potensi desa di platform digital. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya mendukung peningkatan keterampilan teknis tetapi juga bertujuan untuk memperkuat kolaborasi dan inisiatif pembangunan berkelanjutan di Desa Lawoila.

Abstract

Sumber Daya Manusia menjadi elemen penting sebuah institusi atau Lembaga untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya khususnya dalam dunia bisnis. Bosowa Education menjadi wadah penyedia layanan Pendidikan yang kini dikenal dari kancah nasional hingga terus mengembangkan Kerjasama Internasional. Salah satu yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah seberapa besar pengaruh kematangan karir karyawan Bosowa Education dalam menunjang kinerjanya. Kematangan karir pada dasarnya merupakan suatu persepsi mengenai perkembangan karir yang dialami oleh setiap individu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif, tidak memakai istilah populasi maupun sampel tetapi menggunakan istilah (sosial situation) situasi sosial untuk mendeskripsikan keberadaan suatu kelompok yang diteliti. Terdapat 3 unsur utama pada situasi sosial yang saling berkaitan yaitu tempat, informan dan aktivitas. Indikator dalam mencapai hasil dan pembahasan ada empat (4) yaitu Faktor Bio sosial bahwa Bosowa Education menyadari betul pentingnya faktor biososial sebagai penunjang karir, sehingga dengan dilakukannya wawancara bahwa kepentingan antara individu karyawan dengan kepentingan tujuan perusahaan atau organisasi harus sejalan dan haru tercipta kondisi lingkungan yang stabil. Dalam factor lingkungan juga ditemukan bahwa Bosowa Education memberikan keselamatan dan keamanan kerja, faktor lingkungan dalam penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua yaitu faktor internal dengan adanya kondisi lingkungan kerja yang bersasal dari Perusahaan, selanjutnya Faktor Kepribadian , hal ini dilakukan dengan melihat potensi dan skil yang dimiliki oleh karyawan bukan hanya mepertimbangkan hal demikian akan tetapi kepribadian sesorang akan memberikan penilaian kinerja terhadap karyawan itu sendiri, serta Faktor Vocasional Bosowa Education sangat memperhatikan Pendidikan secara komperhensif, yang artinya Pendidikan ini bertujuan untuk mengasa dan mengelola skil yang dimiliki oleh karyawan, melalui pelatihan formal, diklat dan pengembangan kompetensi.

Abstract

Political education has a strategic role in increasing the participation of the younger generation, especially Generation Z (Gen Z), in the democratic process. This service activity aims to increase the awareness and understanding of Gen Z politics in Merauke Regency ahead of the 2024 Regional Head General Election (Pemilukada). The methods used include interactive lectures based on the results of the Gen Z political participation survey and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which is divided into six discussion groups. The lecture aims to provide an overview of the conditions of political participation, while the FGD encourages participants to delve into local political issues and formulate strategic recommendations. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the democratic process, the mechanism of Pemilukada, and the importance of active participation in voting. Participants were also able to identify challenges to political participation, such as the influence of misinformation and apathy, as well as provide innovative proposals, such as the use of social media as a political education tool. This active participation-based approach is in line with the theory of political participation and deliberative democracy, which emphasizes the importance of rational discussion to strengthen the legitimacy of democracy. This activity concluded that political education designed contextually and interactively is effective in preparing Gen Z to play an active role in Pemilukada. Similar programs need to be continued on an ongoing basis to strengthen the political awareness of the younger generation and improve the quality of democracy at the local level. By harnessing the potential of digital technology and participatory approaches, political education can be a catalyst in building a generation of critical, intelligent, and responsible voters.

Abstract

The implementation of e-government-based public services is an effort by the government to enhance the quality of services and governance, making them more effective and efficient. This, in turn, enables the maximization of services to the community. Kampung Kweel serves as a buffer village in the conservation area and is also the center of the Yeinan Tribe, one of the oldest tribes in South Papua. Additionally, Kampung Kweel is a model self-reliant village that collaborates with Musamus University Merauke. To reach Kampung Kweel, one must pass through the Wasur National Park. Despite the various potentials in the area, the village governance system currently relies on manual methods, leading to suboptimal service delivery to the community and inadequate dissemination of information about the village's potential. This community service project is a continuation of previous research aimed at establishing Kampung Kweel as a model self-reliant village, focusing on three areas: Natural Resources and Management, Human Resources and Village Management, and the Existence of Local Wisdom. The goal of this community service is to assist the village government in addressing existing issues by implementing e-government in the governance system of Kampung Kweel, Merauke Regency. The project will be conducted in several stages. First, analyzing the issues in the implementation of e-government in Kampung Kweel. Next, create Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Flowcharts. The final stage involves designing a website and a MySQL database. The implementation of e-government in Kampung Kweel is expected to help the village government provide responsive public services, facilitating the community in obtaining information and disseminating the potential of Kampung Kweel for investors and tourists interested in investing in the village. The outcomes of this community service will be published in the Community Service Journal (JPKM), a nationally accredited SINTA 3 journal, along with videos of the service activities and publications in both print and online media

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies implemented by the Merauke Regency Communications and Information Service in developing internet networks to improve public services. This research uses qualitative research methods and a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The analysis results found that although there has been progress in developing internet networks, challenges such as limited infrastructure and access speed still need to be overcome. This research recommends that the Communications and Information Service continue to invest in infrastructure, strengthen collaboration with service providers, and improve educational programs for the community. In this way, optimization of public services can be achieved, providing significant benefits for the people of Merauke Regency. The research results show three main strategies implemented: core strategy, customer strategy, and cultural strategy. The core strategy focuses on improving network infrastructure and security, with efforts to expand network coverage in remote areas. The strategy emphasizes customer and assistance service provision. Meanwhile, the cultural strategy seeks to build pleasing cooperation between the Communications and Information Service and the community and increase digital literacy.

Abstract

The Community Information Group (KIM) program is a strategic initiative by the Department of Communication and Information Technology of Merauke Regency to encourage active community participation in managing information and communication. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the KIM program's implementation, covering aspects of planning, execution, and its impact on the community. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The evaluation results indicate that the KIM program has positively contributed to improving community information literacy, particularly in rural areas. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited human resources, uneven technological infrastructure, and low community participation in certain activities. Therefore, strategic measures are needed, including enhancing the capacity of KIM members, expanding access to information technology, and optimizing synergy between local government, local communities, and other stakeholders. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing a more effective and sustainable KIM program in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on the performance of employees at the Police Pamong Praja and Fire Department of Merauke Regency. Work discipline is considered one of the factors that is expected to enhance employee performance, especially in carrying out operational tasks that require punctuality and responsibility. This study uses a quantitative method with a simple linear regression approach to test the effect of work discipline (independent variable) on employee performance (dependent variable). The sample used in this study consists of 40 respondents, who are employees of the Police Pamong Praja and Fire Department of Merauke Regency. The results of the study show that the t-value for work discipline (X) is 8.479, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.026. In addition, the significance value for work discipline (X) is 0.000, which is smaller than the probability value of 0.005. Therefore, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of work discipline on employee performance at the Police Pamong Praja and Fire Department of Merauke Regency. These findings indicate that the better the work discipline of employees, the higher the performance produced. This study provides important contributions in understanding how work discipline can play a role in improving employee performance in government institutions, particularly in the fire department sector.

Abstract

The ban on TikTok in the United States has been one of the most controversial policies that have had a major impact on US-Tiongkok bilateral relations. This policy is based on national security reasons, but it also reflects the dynamics of geopolitical competition between the two countries. Using Gilpin's Realism approach, this study analyses how the TikTok ban reflects the US' efforts to maintain its dominance in the global economy and technology. Applying content analysis and data triangulation methods, this study collected information from various sources, including government policies, trade reports, and international media coverage. The results show that this policy exacerbated tensions between the US and Tiongkok, especially in the trade sector and technology industry. In response, Tiongkok imposed retaliatory policies by increasing trade tariffs on US products and restricting American technology companies' access to its domestic market. In addition, the data shows that although the total value of trade between the two countries is still in the trillions of dollars, the escalating tensions may hinder growth and encourage diversification of global supply chains. The findings confirm that the hegemonic competition between the US and Tiongkok is not only in the economic sphere, but also in the aspects of technology regulation and cybersecurity. This research provides insights into the impact of the TikTok ban on the US-Tiongkok relationship, as well as how the strategic steps of the two countries in facing the changing global economic and political landscape.

Abstract

The political education program in Waninggap Nanggo aims at increasing democracy awareness and knowledge among residents leading up to the 2024 Elections. As lead earlier, the method was participatory and comprehensive, involving a baseline survey curriculum development, and workshop implementation and election simulation. The results show a 43% increase in politics comprehension from 30% before the program to 75% after. Participation in educative activities stands at 85%, with most of the participants indicating that they feel better prepared and confident about their participation in the Elections. The post-program evaluation indicates that 80% of the participants feel more capable of identifying correct information and staying away from fake news and have shown interest in continued politics participation. These findings show that democracy awareness creation is effective if tailored in consideration of the local communities. Moreover, it minimizes the devastating effects of black and money politics and revitalizes their interest in participation. The success of this programme is expected to serve as a model for other regions, with the potential to strengthen the foundations of democracy in Indonesia through sustainable and participatory approaches. Collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and community organisations is recommended to ensure the sustainability and increased effectiveness of the programme, including the organisation of facilitator training and the development of educational materials relevant to current political dynamics. Thus, political education programmes can have a positive long-term impact on the development of democracy in Waninggap Naggo Village and other areas.
