Abstract

The strategy implemented in communication planning begins with several steps (Wijaya, n.d.). The approach and method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews and observation. The results of this study address strategic steps in communication planning including 1. Forming communicators. 2. Setting targets and analyzing audience needs. 3. Write a message. 4. Choose media and communication channels. Meanwhile, the communication channel intended for visitors is by using signs and a safety briefing video which will be broadcast on the website and on Cisaat Village's social media as well as on the social media of visitors or tourists. 5. Communication effect. The desired goal is a change in knowledge. An understanding of Occupational Safety and Health in the tourism industry is expected to change attitudes, become concerned and apply them in the form of behavior.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental menjadi perhatian berbagai pihak terutama setelah adanya Covid-19. Kelompok yang berisiko terkena penyakit mental adalah usia remaja akhir atau dewasa awal yang dianggap sebagai masa di mana seseorang berhadapan dengan banyak tantangan dan pengalaman baru. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berusaha mencari tahu efektivitas penggunaan fitur-fitur pada Instagram sebagai media untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan kampanye kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kuantitatif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fitur reels Instagram lebih banyak menjangkau khalayak sasaran  dibandingkan dengan fitur feed dan juga story. Kemudian konten yang banyak menyampaikan informasi detail mengenai kesehatan mental yang diunggah pada feed juga menjangkau lebih banyak pengguna.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an understanding of the application of interpersonal communication through social media in a vocational high school environment, namely at SMK Negeri 1 Babelan, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The implementation steps given to SMK Negeri 1 Babelan, Bekasi Regency, are related to an aware understanding of media law to prevent the negative effects of social media, especially considering the current condition of the younger generation who are very active on social media, they must be equipped with knowledge of understanding content which can lead to social legal sanctions. to be wiser in using social media at an early age. The qualitative method is descriptive. Data was collected through observation, interviews, discussion forums and documentation. While the data analysis technique is presented in the form of narrative text through procedures namely coding, data reduction, data presentation, data triangulation, drawing conclusions and data analysis. The results show that the steps for implementing interpersonal communication are very comprehensive to help students and teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Babelan understand the importance of ethics in communicating online, especially when having to carry out activities with students online. Many teachers and students at SMK N 1 Babelan are active on various social media platforms so it is important for teachers and students to understand how to communicate properly and effectively. Poor communication on social media can negatively affect the image and reputation of a teacher, school or institution. As for the implications that need to be carried out related to understanding the law so that understanding about legal awareness of media is very important to prevent, the negative impact of social media is even greater when there is a lack of knowledge about understanding content which can lead to legal sanctions for the students themselves or the social environment.

Abstract

Sebagai ujung tombak pemeliharaan citra positif organisasi, praktisi hubungan masyarakat memiliki peran dan fungsi yang vital dalam organisasi. Optimalisasi peran dan fungsi ini menentukan efektif atau tidaknya komunikasi antara organisasi dengan publik internal maupun publik eksternal terkait. Dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus ganda, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan bagaimana peran dan fungsi hubungan masyarakat diimplementasikan dalam tiga jenis institusi yang berbeda, yakni organisasi pemerintah, organisasi industri, dan lembaga swadaya masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dari total 18 instansi yang terdiri dari 6 instansi pemerintah, 6 industri, dan 6 lembaga swadaya masyarakat. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik yang dikodifikasi menggunakan perangkat lunak Nvivo 12. Hasil penelitian masih dalam diskusi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of students and teachers regarding the effectiveness of audio-visual teaching materials in enhancing the understanding of occupational health and safety in school laboratories. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing descriptive methods to gather and analyze data. The research was carried out at Al-Ittihad Cianjur Vocational School, a technical and vocational education institution. The informants for this research were the Head of the Laboratory Program, the Person in Charge of the Laboratory, the School Principal, 7 teachers who taught in the laboratory, and 100 students. Data were collected through various techniques, including observations, document analysis, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs). To determine the level of reliability or trustworthiness of data, this research uses credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data which includes stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results concluded that the provision of audio-visual teaching materials in the form of videos was very good and had a positive impact on learning. The students have quite good attitudes when carrying out learning activities, especially regarding their work safety in the laboratory. These findings also provide awareness about the importance of increasing digital competence so that teachers can be more creative and innovative in creating learning resources.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan Proses Perancangan Video Safety briefing Sebagai Media Komunikasi Keselamatan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Di Laboratorium Sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil obeservasi peneliti, bahwa implementasi K3 masih rendah pada SMK yang kesehariannya dekat dengan kegiatan di laboratorium. Hal ini disebabkan karena komitmen pimpinan yang terbatas, tidak ada pembagian tugas dan tanggung jawab yang jelas serta tidak tersedianya infrastruktur. Teori yang digunakan adalah tehnik videografi dan konsep produksi MAVIB. Pendekatan dan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Obyek penelitian adalah SMK AL ITTIHAD Cianjur, dengan 1 key informan dan 2 informan didukung juga oleh siswa sekolah tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian Proses perancangan video safety briefing menggunakan ke 3 tahapan dari konsep produksi MAVIB yakni tahap praproduksi, produksi dan pasca produksi dapat berjalan terarah, teratur dan sistematis. Pada tahap praproduksi, perancangan video dimulai dari melakukan diskusi beberapa kali mengenai ide atau konsep dengan tim. Pada proses produksi dilakukan pengambilan gambar dan suara. Pada proses pasca produksi proses editing baik online maupun offline, mixing, dan mastering untuk menghasilkan produk jadi yang siap didistribusikan. Kata Kunci: Konsep Produksi MAVIB; K3; Video Safety Briefing Abstract The purpose of this study was to carry out the Safetybriefing Video Design Process as a Media for Occupational Health Safety (K3) Communication in the School Laboratory. Based on the results of researchers' observations, that the implementation of OSH is still low in SMKs whose daily activities are close to laboratory activities. This is due to the limited leadership commitment, there is no clear division of tasks and responsibilities and the unavailability of infrastructure. The theory used is videographic techniques and the MAVIB production concept. The research approach and method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research object was AL ITTIHAD Cianjur Vocational High School, with 1 key informant and 2 informants supported by the school's students. The results of the research The safety briefing video design process uses the 3 stages of the MAVIB production concept, namely the pre-production, production and post-production stages can be directed, orderly and systematic. In the pre-production stage, video design begins with several discussions about ideas or concepts with the team. In the production process, shooting and sound are carried out. In the post-production process, editing processes both online and offline, mixing and mastering to produce finished products that are ready for distribution. Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan minat yang meningkat terhadap fotografi, banyak sekolah menengah yang mulai menawarkan kursus atau klub fotografi sebagai bagian dari kurikulum ekstrakurikuler. Namun, seringkali terdapat kendala dalam menyediakan ruang dan peralatan yang memadai untuk kegiatan tersebut. Dengan merancang ulang ruang fotografi menjadi sebuah Educational Space yang terintegrasi dengan baik di lingkungan sekolah, diharapkan dapat membuka peluang baru bagi pengembangan potensi kreatif dan akademik siswa dalam bidang fotografi. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan model Hannafin and Peck dalam perencanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini akan mengikuti langkah-langkah yang terstruktur. Model ini terdiri dari lima langkah utama yang mencakup pengidentifikasian kebutuhan, perencanaan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan tahapan seperti melakukan diskusi terperinci mengenai pembagian tugas bagi tim pelaksana, yang mencakup peran-peran seperti fotografer, videografer, penyusun TOR (Terms of Reference), dan asisten program. Pengimplementasian program mencakup pengenalan fungsi alat, tata cara penggunaan alat fotografi, serta penyiapan laboratorium fotografi di sekolah. Terakhir, evaluasi hasil kegiatan berupa survei dilakukan untuk menilai efektivitas program secara keseluruhan, memastikan manfaat maksimal sesuai dengan tujuan yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

This study discusses the empowerment of Islamic boarding schools in optimizing communication activities through socialization of bullying behavior prevention among students of Al-Bunyan Islamic Boarding School. The focus of research is the role of pesantren as educational institutions that can significantly influence the character and behavior of students. Through the implementation of structured socialization programs, pesantren seeks to raise awareness of the negative impact of bullying and create a supportive and respectful environment. Qualitative methods were used in the study, including interviews, observation, and documentation, to evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative. The research findings show that targeted communication and socialization activities in the context of pesantren can effectively reduce the incidence of bullying, encourage positive interactions between students, and improve the overall welfare of students. This study emphasizes the importance of active involvement and tailored interventions in the educational environment to overcome and reduce bullying behavior as well as the use of digital media as an innovation in curriculum development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the "Tasya Farasya Approved" endorsement on brand awareness of Somethinc Calm Down Cream, with a case study focusing on the followers of the Instagram account @tasyafarasya. This research employs a quantitative method with an explanatory research types. The Slovin formula and simple random sampling technique were utilized, distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, with the sample collection conducted online. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis, performed using SPSS 27 with 50 statements from both variables. The results of this study indicate that the endorsement variable has a positive effect on increasing brand awareness of Somethinc Calm Down Cream skincare products among the followers of the Instagram account @tasyafarasya. The "Tasya Farasya Approved" endorsement label is effective in increasing brand awareness of the Somethinc Calm Down Cream product.

Abstract

Effective communication is a crucial skill for educators, particularly in religious institutions like Pondok Pesantren. This community service project aimed to enhance the public speaking abilities of teachers and instructors at a Pondok Pesantren. Through interactive workshops and practical exercises, participants were trained in various aspects of public speaking, including voice modulation, body language, content organization, and audience engagement. The project emphasized the importance of clear and confident communication in imparting knowledge and religious teachings. Pre- and post-training evaluations showed significant improvements in the participants' public speaking skills, confidence levels, and teaching effectiveness. The project's success highlights the value of community service initiatives in promoting professional development and fostering a conducive learning environment within religious educational institutions
