Abstract

The era of technological disruption in the 21st century is increasingly challenging the traditional 4P marketing mix concept to evolve to facilitate the creation of hybrid communication and services in the digital environment. This study aims to explore the causality predictive model between the evolution of the 4P marketing mix model and the customer mix considered in the modern business landscape of the digital age, by analyzing how it affects the purchase intention?, the mediating effect of the customer mix is examined. Quantitative research with a survey type is developed in predictive causality modeling, relying on the power of prediction. The statistical analysis applied Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling 4 (PLS-SEM4). The survey was conducted to 89 selected respondents with a purposive sampling technique approach. The findings of the study show that the evolution of the 4P marketing mix positively and significantly has a direct and indirect effect on purchase intention. The customer mix has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. The customer mix has a positive mediating effect with moderate predictive power. These findings can fill the gap and expand the recognition that the evolution of the 4P marketing mix that is aligned with technological developments has relevance to the modern business landscape based on digital platforms. The evolution of the 4P marketing mix in the digital age, which integrates the customer mix as an important mediator in customer-centric platform-based business operations, plays a major role in attracting purchase intention.

Abstract

This study explores the marketing strategy of Warung Nasi Sunda Ibu Titing, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) that has been operating since 2004 and faces challenges such as intense competition, limited facilities, and low adoption of digital technology. The problem statement revolves around efforts to enhance competitiveness through effective strategies. The research methodology employs a qualitative descriptive approach using SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, complemented by the Marketing Mix (4P) framework to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy. The findings reveal that Warung Nasi Sunda Ibu Titing’s main strengths include a diverse menu, high-quality products, and a strategic location. However, weaknesses such as minimal digital promotion and limited parking facilities pose significant challenges. Opportunities arise from modern culinary trends and government policies supporting MSMEs, which can be leveraged to expand the market. Threats from more innovative competitors and the instability of raw material prices require adaptive strategies. The study concludes by recommending strategies such as expanding digital services through online platforms, enhancing social media promotion, and introducing menu innovations to attract new customer segments. Implementing these strategies is expected to help Warung Nasi Sunda Ibu Titing maintain its presence and improve competitiveness in the culinary market.

Abstract

This paper investigates the direct and indirect effect of macro and microeconomics variables toward financial distress by using efficiency variable as mediator. This research used time series and monthly-published report data of Islamic Banking Statistics and Macroeconomics data. The Springate Model is used to measure financial distress through s-score, while the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach is used to measure Islamic rural bank’s efficiency. The finding implies that the efficiency of Islamic rural bank in Indonesia is mainly caused by microeconomics variables where CAR and NPF directly have significant and negative effect on efficiency, while ROA and FDR directly have significant and positive effect on efficiency. The financial distress of Islamic rural bank in Indonesia is mainly caused by micro and macroeconomics variables where CAR and SIZE directly have significant and positive effect on financial distress score, while NPF and Exchange rate directly have significant and negative effect on efficiency. Efficiency is strongly having a role in mediating the effect of microeconomics variables toward financial distress score of Islamic rural bank

Abstract

Stunting, a condition where children are malnourished for a long period, causes growth failure in children. West Java, Central Java, and East Java are the 3 provinces with the highest prevalence of stunting in 2021. This study aims to group districts/cities in these provinces based on factors that influence stunting using the DBSCAN method (there has been no previous research using this method for this case), so the typology of stunting prevalence is implied. The group results can be valuable input for policy priorities in overcoming stunting. The study used the DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Application with Noise) method, which can also detect noises (outliers). The determination of eps and MinPts is based on the average value of the distance from each data to its closest neighbor. The distance obtained then was used in the KNN algorithm to determine eps and MinPts parameters. Clustering is done using standardized data and DBSCAN parameters obtained from the k-dist plot, eps is 1.92, and MinPts is 2. The validation test used is the silhouette coefficient to determine the goodness of the cluster results. The clustering results show that there are 2 clusters and 1 noise that have special characteristics related to factors that influence the prevalence of stunting. Cluster 1 consisted of 97 districts/cities and was characterized by a high percentage of infants under 6 months receiving exclusive breastfeeding and the lowest average per capita household expenditure. Cluster 2 (Bekasi City and Depok City) was characterized by the lowest percentage of households with proper health facilities and infants aged 0-59 months receiving complete immunization. The noise (high stunting prevalence) in Bandung City is characterized by the lowest percentage of households having proper sanitation.

Abstract

A major challenge for the country is ensuring sufficient food production to meet the demands of its growing population. To address this issue, it is essential to enhance local root crop production as future food security. This study aims to assess the available and suitable land for Banggai Yam cultivation. The Multicriteria Evaluation Method was utilized to evaluate land suitability, while land availability was determined by integrating land use and land cover actual, forest area, and spatial pattern maps. The analysis revealed that 99,197 hectares are available for crop development. Expert assessment using the Analytic Hierarchy Process identified key land parameters such as cation exchange capacity, Base saturation, texture, and climatic factors like rainfall vital for determining land suitability, totaling 232,250.7 hectares. The combined maps indicated 95,301.6 hectares as potential development areas, with highly suitable land at 2.8%, moderately suitable land at 29%, and marginally suitable land at 8.3%. Conversely, land classified as unsuitable for cultivation constitutes 59.9%. These findings provide valuable insights for government officials, farmers, and researchers to optimize land use for these crops as a means to meet national food requirements.

Abstract

The agricultural sector significantly contributes to economic growth at local and national levels, reflecting broader social changes to improve materially and spiritual better living conditions. This research aims to assess income levels and identify constraints in the development of Banggai yam as a local food source. The research was conducted in the Banggai Islands Regency using quantitative descriptive analysis and the Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM) approach. Respondents were selected using a stratified purposive sampling technique, resulting in 76 interviews, which included 68 farmers, 2 financial institutions, 4 government representatives, and 2 academics from the region. Findings show that Banggai yam farming generates significant financial returns, increasing farmers' income over the course of one growing season, thus categorizing it as a viable farming practice in the Banggai Islands Regency. Six key strategies for developing Banggai yam as a local food source were identified: government support (E7), farmer training and mentoring (E8), uncoordinated marketing (E1), annual Banggai yam cultivation (E5), shifting cultivation practices (E6), and unregulated land use (E14). Effectively addressing these constraints and prioritizing strategies will ultimately drive the goal of increasing incomes and guide the sustainable development of Banggai yam in the Banggai Islands Regency
