Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in human rights news reporting in the iNews Pagi, Kabar Utama tvOne, and Tribunnews Update programs. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the help of Norman Fairclough's theory of critical discourse analysis, especially the analysis of textual representation. The data were in the form of the transcription of the news "Moeldoko Diusir Massa" in Kabar Utama tvOne,  "Moeldoko Diusir Aktivis HAM" in iNews Pagi, and “Detik-Detik Moeldoko Kena Skakmat Diusir” in Tribunnews Update at the period of 18-19 November 2021. The data were collected by listening and note-taking techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, Kabar Utama tvOne and Tribunnews Update programs used the words diusir, penolakan and ditolak . The grammar used showed the situation. Besides, the intra-sentence conjunctions used yang and dan as explanations and additions in sentences, and namun as a conjunction between sentences. Meanwhile, in iNews Pagi reporting, the dominant clause used active transitive sentences with menolak and mengusir. Then, the coherence between one clause and another had a foreground relationship that supports each other. The similarity of the data was the series of clauses and clause combinations, while the difference was in the clauses.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perbedaan pemberitaan Festival Hak Asasi Manusia tahun 2021 dalam program iNews Pagi, Kabar Utama tvOne, dan Tribunnews Update. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teori analisis wacana kritis Fairclough. Data penelitian ini berupa transkripsi pemberitaan “Moeldoko Diusir Massa” di Kabar Utama tvOne, “Moeldoko Diusir Aktivis HAM” di iNews Pagi, dan “Detik-Detik Moeldoko Kena Skakmat Diusir” di Tribunnews Update periode 18—19 November 2021 yang dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, Kabar Utama tvOne dan Tribunnews Update menggunakan kata diusir dan penolakan atau ditolak, tajuk berita menunjukkan keadaan, dan penggunaan kata hubung yang dan dan sebagai penjelas dan penambahan dalam kalimat, serta adanya penggunaan kata hubung antarkalimat namun. Dalam pemberitaan iNews Pagi, anak kalimat dominan menggunakan kalimat aktif transitif dengan kata menolak dan mengusir dan antaranak kalimat memiliki hubungan latar depan yang saling mendukung. Persamaan data terletak pada rangkaian anak kalimat dan kombinasi anak kalimat, sedangkan perbedaannya terletak pada anak kalimat.

Abstract

Writing learning is a process aimed at developing students' creativity in writing. One of the writing lessons taught at school is writing expository texts. Expository texts are texts that contain explanations of information and knowledge. In learning to write, teachers should guide and facilitate students with good, appropriate, and quality teaching to achieve optimal learning objectives. In line with this, this study aims to find out the initial analysis in the form of a set of information needed for the learning model development program. The learning model developed is a social community learning model in learning exposition writing at Vocational High School (SMK). The research method used is descriptive qualitative conducted by survey method. Based on the research findings and data analysis, teachers need a new learning model to support learning effectiveness and students achieve learning objectives. Students learn in groups and prefer learning with peer tutors during the learning process. Learning that involves friends has been known that students can understand the material, solve problems together, and improve their skills.

Abstract

Abstract : Interests Read Community West Java: Descriptive Study In Regency Bandung, Subang, And Purwakarta. The research objective was to describe the profile interests and reading habits of society in West Java. The subjects were students from elementary, junior high, and high school students who are in boarding school, youth, parents / students in these three districts, community leaders, the library in three districts, and policy makers. Number of targets / respondents as many as 500 people. Data was collected using: questionnaires, observation sheets, and guidelines for the interview. Discussion of research shows that the public interest in utilizing the library accelerating the development of human resources in the form: all walks of life can accelerate after a lot of reading in accordance with its duties, work and profession.   Keywords : Interests Reading, Descriptive Study Abstrak : Minat Baca Masyarakat Jawa Barat: Studi Deskriptif Di Kabupaten Bandung, Subang, Dan Purwakarta. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan profil minat dan kebiasaan membaca masyarakat di Jawa Barat. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA, santri yang berada di pondok pesantren, para pemuda, orang tua siswa/santri yang ada di tiga kabupaten tersebut, tokoh masyarakat, pengelola perpustakaan di tiga kabupaten, dan pembuat kebijakan. Jumlah sasaran/responden sebanyak 500 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan: angket,  lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Pembahasan dalam penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca masyarakat yang memanfaatkan perpustakaan mengalami akselerasi pembangunan sumber daya manusia dalam wujud: semua kalangan dapat melakukan akselerasi setelah banyak membaca sesuai dengan bidang tugas, pekerjaan, dan profesinya.   Kata kunci : Minat Membaca, Studi Deskriptif

Abstract

Abstract : National Linguistic and Regional Language Protection Policy. This study aims to discuss government policy in protecting regional languages and literature, including what has been done and what has been outlined in legislation. The subject of language policy in Indonesia includes: national language policy, foreign language policy, and local language policy. As a language of unity, the Indonesian language serves as: (1) the symbol of national pride, (2) the symbol of national identity, (3) a tool that allows the unification of various ethnic groups with their socio-cultural background and language into the national unity of Indonesia, and (4) interconnection and intercultural means of communication. As the language of the country, the Indonesian language functions as: (1) the official language of the state, (2) the language of instruction in education, (3) the means of communication at the national level for the purposes of planning and implementation of national development as well as the interests of government; Culture, science, and technology. Keywords: National Policy, Language Abstrak : Kebijakan Nasional Kebahasaan dan Pelindungan Bahasa Daerah. Bertujuan  untuk membahas kebijakan pemerintah dalam melindungi bahasa dan sastra daerah, termasuk apa yang sudah dilakukan dan apa yang telah digariskan dalam peraturan perundang-undangan. Ihwal kebijakan kebahasaan di Indonesia meliputi: kebijakan bahasa nasional, kebijakan bahasa asing, dan kebijakan bahasa daerah. Sebagai bahasa persatuan, bahasa Indonesia berfungsi sebagai: (1) lambang kebanggaan nasional, (2) lambang identitas nasional, (3) alat yang memungkinkan penyatuan berbagai suku bangsa dengan latar belakang sosial budaya dan bahasanya masing-masing ke dalam kesatuan kebangsaan Indonesia, dan (4) alat perhubungan antardaerah dan antarbudaya.  Sebagai bahasa negara, bahasa Indonesia berfungsi sebagai: (1) bahasa resmi kenegaraan, (2) bahasa pengantar di dalam pendidikan, (3) alat perhubungan pada tingkat nasional untuk kepentingan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembangunan nasional serta kepentingan pemerintahan, dan (4) alat pembangunan kebudayaan, ilmu pengetahuan, dan teknologi. Kata Kunci: Kebijakan Nasional, Kebahasaan

Abstract

This paperdiscusses the use of technological media and the students’writing drama text skillsbetween Class XI IPA 1 and XI IPS at SMA N 1 Bandar Sei Kijang. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The research instrument is an interview questionnaire guideline that will be administered to Indonesian teachers. The research was conducted at SMA N 1 Bandar Sei Kijang with 23 students of class XI IPA 1 and 21 students of class XI IPS 1. The data collection technique in the study was to use interview guidelines, which contain questions about students’ learning conditions, students’ learning achievements, and students’ learning outcomes by applying different media and methods. The results indicate that technology media with the question and answer method was more effective to use than print media with the lecture method. It was proven based on the interviews. The students who used technology media with the question and answer method obtained results that tended to be high with a value of 83.52. The use of technology in learning can ease students and teachers to carry out learning.

Abstract

Since the learning process was carried out for approximately two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers and students have experienced problems in learning, especially in writing anecdotes, such as lack of student enthusiasm, decreased learning quality, students feeling bored, and so on. This study aims to describe the use of multimodal-based flipbook e-modules in Vocational High Schools. The research instrument was a teacher interview guide, a list of student needs questions, and a list of student response questions. The type of research used is research and development (RD) using the ADDIE method. Based on the test results, it is known that the average score of students' assessment of all aspects of the assessment is 4.44 which is included in the very good category. The highest assessment aspect is in the presentation of material, with an average of 4.75. The aspect of assessment with the lowest average is the aspect of readability, with an average of 4.39. The final product results are based on needs analysis, the results of the E-Module validation assessment, and the test results, namely the E-Module product with the Flipbook technique as a teaching material that is developed very interesting and learning is not boring.

Abstract

Bias dalam penyajian suatu berita oleh media berita dapat muncul dalam berbagai bentuk. Bias ini kemudian dapat berperan penting dalam membentuk persepsi atau tanggapan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis bias yang muncul dalam pemberitaan konflik Israel-Palestina dengan metode analisis konten dan pendekatan analisis kritis. Melalui lensa penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan dari artikel berita yang dipublikasikan oleh 10 sumber media online Indonesia. Prosedur analisis konten yang digunakan terdiri atas empat langkah menurut teori Krippendorf, yaitu pengadaan data, penentuan unit, pencatatan/pengkodean, dan analisis data. Aartikel berita dianalisis berdasarkan kategori-kategori yang diduga mengandung bias. Pendekatan analisis kritis digunakan untuk melihat konteks sosial, politik, dan budaya yang mungkin memengaruhi penyajian berita. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 90% dari 10 berita yang dianalisis memberi pengaruh yang kuat terhadap persepsi pembaca dengan memberikan sudut pandang yang condong membela Palestina melalui pemilihan kata, framing berita, dan sumber informasi yang digunakan. Selain itu, setiap media memberikan bias berupa konteks sosial, politik, dan budaya yang berperan penting dalam memberikan pengaruh tambahan untuk membentuk persepsi pembaca. Jadi, dalam penyajian sebuah berita, media pemberitaan akan mengandung bias yang bergantung pada berbagai faktor.

Abstract

The study investigates the adequacy and development methods of teaching materials, specifically textbooks, which are essential references for students. Despite their importance, current textbooks exhibit shortcomings in content sufficiency and development techniques. Given the technological inclinations of contemporary students, integrating technology into learning can enhance engagement and enjoyment. This research aims to analyze the necessity of microblog-based teaching materials for observation report texts to boost student enthusiasm and active participation in learning. Employing qualitative research methods, the study involved 96 students from three high schools in Takengon. Data were collected via Google Forms and analyzed descriptively. Findings indicate a significant demand for microblog teaching materials, with 80% of students responding affirmatively to the need for such resources. The study's implications include providing captivating teaching materials to enhance classroom learning and motivating teachers to create more engaging educational resources, thereby fostering greater student enthusiasm and participation.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Atas yang masih kurang terampil dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya fenomena ini yaitu penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang masih konvensional seperti metode ceramah. Dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik, dibutuhkan media yang tepat. Media yang digunakan adalah poster yang dibuat menggunakan aplikasi canva. Canva merupakan aplikasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan peserta didik untuk mendesain poster teks eksplanasi yang dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi kejadian serta ciri kebahasaan suatu teks eksplanasi. Dengan bantuan media poster canva diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik dan menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, kreatif, dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode tinjauan literatur dan survei. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis penggunaan media canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari teori dan penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dan hasil survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunan media canva dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi. ABSTRACT: This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students in high schools who still lack skills in learning to write explanatory texts. One of the causes of this phenomenon is the use of conventional learning methods such as the lecture method. In an effort to improve students ability to write explanatory texts, appropriate media is needed. The media used is a poster created using the canva application. Canva is an application that students can use to design explanatory text posters that are equipped with illustrations of events and linguistic characteristics of an explanatory text. With the help of canva poster media, it is hoped that students can improve their ability to write explanatory texts and create an interactive, creative and collaborative learning atmosphere. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature review and survey methods. The aim of this research is to analyze the use of canva media in learning to write explanatory text. Research data was obtained from relevant theory and previous research and survey results. The research results show that using canva media can improve the ability to write explanatory text. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kebutuhan dan kesulitan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi di SMA Kabupaten Brebes sebagai langkah awal menuju penelitian pengembangan selanjutnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Penelitian melibatkan tiga guru Bahasa Indonesia dan 95 siswa kelas XI dari tiga SMA di Kabupaten Brebes. Model pembelajaran yang akan dikembangkan adalah Search Solve Create and Share (SSCS) yang dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa menunjukkan minat dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi, namun menghadapi kesulitan dalam pengembangan ide dan pencarian informasi. Penggunaan sumber informasi bervariasi dari buku hingga media digital. Guru-guru menghadapi tantangan dalam membantu siswa mengatasi keterbatasan kosakata dan kemampuan argumen siswa. Meskipun demikian, guru memiliki harapan untuk memahami kebutuhan siswa secara mendalam. Secara keseluruhan, diperlukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teknologi untuk meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi.
