Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi manfaat read aloud bagi kemampuan berbahasa anak di perkumpulan dharma wanita LPKA Muara Bulian penting dilaksanakan, mengingat kemampuan berbahasa merupakan kecerdasan majemuk yang terdapat dalam diri setiap individu. Kecerdasan berbahasa merupakan salah satu bentuk kecerdasan terpenting yang akan membantu individu dalam proses kehidupannya. Oleh sebab itu, kemampuan berbahasa harus dioptimalkan sedini mungkin. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan melalui 3 tahapan metode, yaitu: tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dari hasil kegiatan sosialisasi maka didapatkan 3 hal penting yang dipahami oleh anggota dharma wanita LPKA Muara Bulian, yaitu pemahaman mengenai manfaat read aloud, pentingnya kemampuan berbahasa anak dan pemilihan bacaan yang baik sesuai usia perkembangan anak.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the similarities and differences of Pendalungan`s reduplication in the Kemuningsari Kidul, Jenggawah, Jember, and East Java in terms of form, function, and meaning. The method used in this study is a comparative descriptive method whose purpose is to describe the comparison of reduplication elements of the Pendalungan language, which includes Javanese and Madurese in the Horseshoe area. The reduplication theory used relies on Simatupang's theory (1983), which divides it into five categories, namely: dwilingga, dwilingga salin suara, dwipurwa, dwiwasana, and trilingga. The object of this research is a word containing reduplication spoken by the Javanese and Madurese of the Pendalungan ethnic group. Data was collected using simak libat cakap, in which the researcher was directly involved in conversations with informants (Mahsun, 2005). The results of data analysis show that both languages consist of four forms of reduplication, namely: dwilingga, dwilingga salin suara, dwipurwa, and dwiwasana, which function as nouns, adjectives, and verbs. As well as containing plural meanings and behaviors that are carried out repeatedly. Furthermore, the patterns of Javanese and Madurese in the form of dwiwasana are different. In Javanese, the repetition of the last syllable is still placed at the end by adding a consonant /k/, such as ndelo-lok "glare". Whereas in the Madurese language, the last syllable is placed in the front position, such as juk-tojuk "sit down".Keywords: Pendalungan, Reduplication, Morphology, Jember

Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe Dian Purnomo's authorship style in the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam  (PMBH) based on symbols of sexual violence against women. The use of diction, sentence style, and imagery is examined using stylistic analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are three stylistic forms, namely diction, sentence style, and imagery. Based on the results of this study, it is stated that Dian Purnomo's authorship style in the PMBH novel is in the style of Proletarian Fiction (Social Protest Fiction). Dian Purnomo, through this novel, reveals the reality that is happening in the Sumba community regarding the Marriage Catch tradition. In this tradition, many women are victims of sexual violence and hatred. Dian Purnomo prohibits protests customary rules and rulers.

Abstract

: In the digital era, the existence of a website for a university study program is important. With a website that can be accessed anywhere and at any time, the public can find out information and everything related to the study program. The Jambi University Indonesian Literature Study Program website has been designed by the team with the page https://sastraindonesia.unja.ac.id. However, the website is not managed well so the information presented has not been updated. Apart from that, the layout of the site is also irregular, thereby reducing public interest in accessing the website. In fact, through the study program website you can disseminate information such as profiles, vision and mission, organizational structure, scholarships, student achievements, questionnaires, and news content and other information. Therefore, it is necessary to manage the Indonesian Literature Study Program website at Jambi University as a medium of information for the public. This website management activity begins with the stages of analyzing website needs, collecting website data, designing and filling content, and socializing the website to the public. The result of this service activity is website governance Jambi University's Indonesian Literature Study Program is getting better. This can be seen from the more organized appearance of the website, the latest information that is continuously updated, and the positive response from website users.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berbagai bentuk deviasi fonologis dalam kumpulan puisi karya Ibrahim Sattah dan Sutardji Calzoum Bachri. Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan puisi karya Ibrahim Sattah dan Sutardji Calzoum Bachri. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi sedangkan untuk keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan serta verifikasi. Tahapan analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menjelaskan berbagai bentuk deviasi linguistik dalam  puisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 3 bentuk deviasi fonologis yang digunakan Ibrahim Sattah dan Sutardji Calzoum Bachri dalam puisi-puisinya yakni pengulangan fonem, penambahan fonem, dan  penghilangan fonem. Abstract This research aims to describe various forms of phonological deviation in the poetry collection by Ibrahim Sattah and Sutardji Calzoum Bachri. The type of approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data source in this research is a collection of poetry by Ibrahim Sattah and Sutardji Calzoum Bachri. Data collection techniques are carried out using documentation techniques, while data validity is carried out using triangulation techniques which consist of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The data analysis stage uses descriptive methods to explain various forms of linguistic deviation in poetry. Based on the research results, it was found that 3 forms of phonological deviation were used by Ibrahim Sattah and Sutardji Calzoum Bachri in their poetry, namely repetition of phonemes, addition of phonemes, and deletion of phonemes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat implementasi metode pembelajaran Project based Learning pada mata kuliah Semantik terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa prodi Sastra Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa Program Studi Sastra Indonesia Jurusan Sejarah, Seni dan Arkeologi Kelas R002 Tahun akademik 2022/2023 dengan hasil peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada mata kuliah Semantik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari adanya peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada tiap siklusnya setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran Project based Learning. Pada tahap pra siklus diketahui nilai rata-rata mahasiswa yakni sebesar 67,5. Setelah diterapkan metode PJBL pada siklus pertama  diketahui nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 69,78. Kemudian terjadi lagi peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada siklus kedua yakni menjadi 72,8. Berdasarkan hasil refleksi siklus 2 didapat data bahwa mahasiswa yang memperoleh nilai 70 ke atas menjadi 28 orang dengan persentase sebanyak 81,25% dari total 32 mahasiswa. Abstract This research aims to see the implementation of the Project based Learning learning method in the Semantics course on the creative thinking abilities of Sastra Indonesia study program students. The research method used is classroom action research. The research was conducted on students of the Sastra Indonesia program, Department of History, Art and Archeology, Class R002 for the 2022/2023 academic year with results of increasing creative thinking abilities in the Semantics subject. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle after implementing the Project based Learning learning method. At the pre-cycle stage, it was found that the average student score was 67.5. After implementing the PJBL method in the first cycle, it was found that the class average value increased to 69.78. Then there was another increase in the average value in the second cycle, namely to 72.8. Based on the results of cycle 2 reflection, data was obtained that there were 28 students who got a score of 70 and above with a percentage of 81.25% of the total 32 students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep penamaan pada ruang publik di Provinsi Jambi yang ditinjau melalui kajian linguistik lanskap. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dimana peneliti mendeskripsikan secara langsung konsep penamaan pada ruang publik di Kota Jambi, Provinsi Jambi dengan menggunakan teori Lanskap Linguistik. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan pengamatan dan wawancara, dan teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan penganalisisan dalam penyajian data, dan penganalisisan setelah data terkumpul. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: secara informasi konsep penamaan tergolong kedalam faktor sejarah, harapan dan kesepakatan. Sedangkan secara simbolik konsep penamaan berdasarkan adanya relasi kuasa dan relasi budaya pada papan nama jalan,  imperialisasi bahasa pada papan nama kafe, imperialisasi bahasa dan status bahasa pada papan nama warung sedangkan pemberian nama pada papan nama perkantoran tergolong ke dalam kebijakan bahasa dan status bahasa yaitu masih menggunakan bahasa resmi.Kata kunci:  Penamaan, Ruang Publik, Lanskap Linguistik This study aims to determine the concept of naming public spaces in Jambi Province which is reviewed through landscape linguistic studies. The method in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach, where the researcher directly described the concept of naming in public spaces in Jambi City, Jambi Province using the Linguistic Landscape theory. The data collection techniques were observation and interviews, and data analysis techniques in this study were analyzing the presentation of data, and analyzing after the data was collected. The results of this study indicate: informationally the naming concept were classified into historical factors, expectations and agreements. While symbolically the naming concept was based on the existence of power relations and cultural relations on street signboards, language imperialization on cafe signage, language imperialization and language status on shop signboards while naming on office signage belong to language policy and language status, which is still use the official language.Keywords: Naming, Public Space, Linguistic Landscape

Abstract

Abstract  Few realize that swearing is not always used to express negative emotions. It can also be utilized to convey positive feelings, such as compliments. Swearing in compliments is a phenomenon identified on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter. The purpose of this study is to examine the pragmatic meaning and the pragmatic function of racial swearing in compliments on X. This study is classified as descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study consisted of racial swearing in the compliment utterances on X. The observational method was used to gather the data. In the meantime, the data were analyzed using the identity method by referring to the theories of Hughes (2006), Kreidler (2002), Ljung (2011), and Spears (2000). The results of the data analysis are presented by using informal method. The study's findings demonstrate that the racial swearing in compliments on social media X has the pragmatic meaning of ‘guy’. In addition, it has pragmatic functions as noun supports and anaphoric use of epithets. As a noun support, the racial swearing was used to assist the compliment word, which was usually in the form of an adjective. On the other hand, as the anaphoric use of epithets, the racial swearing was used as an anaphoric pronoun, a pronoun that refers back to another noun in the utterance. It is anticipated that this study would lessen the misunderstanding that Indonesian EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students may have when interacting with other English speakers on social media X.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze lexical variations of isolects in Banjar and Minangkabau languages and to calculate the relationship percentage of the two languages. The method used in this research is a comparative method with a qualitative and quantitative approach to find phonemic and lexical correspondences of the relative lexemes. The data consists of 115 action verbs (glosses) at four observation points of Minangkabau language and two observation points of Banjar language. The data was collected by using non-participation method through notetaking and recording techniques. The Lexicostatistic calculation method is used to calculate inter-language relationships. The results of the analysis show that there were 265 total lexemes of 241 etymons with: 9 cognate (exact-similar), 79 inheritance (minimal-pairs), and 182 different variations of lexemes (considered as borrowing and by chance). The result of the lexicostatistic calculation indicates that the two languages are related by 66.38% and is classified as languages in the same language based on 116 verbs analyzed.

Abstract

Menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang penting untuk dikuasai oleh para peserta didik di samping membaca, menyimak, dan berbicara. Menulis tidak hanya sekadar mentranskripsikan ujaran, tetapi lebih jauh dari itu menulis adalah proses menuangkan pikiran berupa ide dan gagasan. Namum, bagi banyak peserta didik menulis masih menjadi keterampilan yang sulit untuk dikuasai terutama menulis karya sastra seperti puisi dan cerpen. Masalah yang seringkali muncul dalam kepenulisan adalah ide tentang apa yang ditulis dan kosa kata baku apa saja yang mesti digunakan. Hal inilah yang terjadi pada peserta didik SMP 5 Kota Jambi. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penggunaan media yang representatif dalam keterampilan berupa flashcards elektronik. Pembelajaran memadukan metode ceramah untuk menjelaskan kata baku dan metode latihan sebagai bentuk praktik penulisan kata baku. Melalui penggunaan media flashcards elektronik dapat momotivasi para peserta didik menulis dalam kaidah yang tepat dan menumbuhkan rasa cinta kepada bahasa Indonesia
