Abstract

The Quran is the source of all knowledge, including mathematics. On the other hand, mathematics is closely related to everyday life and the development of other fields of knowledge. Mathematics is one of the disciplines closely connected to the verses of the Quran. Mathematics education is expected to improve to meet the advancements in time and technology continually. It is also anticipated that mathematics education can build the character of each student through religious values. This activity aims to introduce the concept of sets integrated with the content of verses found in the Quran. The activity was conducted as an online Zoom meeting and YouTube streaming seminar. Participants included mathematics lecturers, teachers, and students from Islamic junior and senior high schools from ten provinces in Indonesia. The event was titled "The Quran and Set Theory" and received high appreciation from the seminar participants. This was evident from the enthusiastic participation and numerous questions raised during the Q&A session. This activity has motivated teachers and lecturers to integrate the mathematical concepts learned with the Quranic verses. Teachers who participated in this activity are expected to act as agents in popularizing the method of integrated mathematics education with the content of Quranic verses, especially set theory.

Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem in children characterized by the child’s height that is less than twice the standard deviation of the median standard from children growth that has been determined by the WHO. Stunting is influenced by many factors. If the conditional of these factors are known, it can be expected earlier whether a child is stunted or not. In this study, the prediction of stunting was carried out using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification method. SVM is a method to find the best hyperplane that can be used to separate two or more classes. In this study, the parameter of the SVM model that must be determined is the cost value and gamma. Based on the result of research using parameters cost=10 and gamma=5, the estimation result of the classification with 100% accuracy can be obtained.

Abstract

The health and nutrition of children at the age of five are very important aspects in the children’s growth and development. An assessment of the nutritional status of toddlers that is commonly used is anthropometry. This study aims to obtain the decision rules used to classify toddlers into nutritional status groups using the rough set algorithm and determine the level of classification accuracy of the resulting decision rules. The index used in this study is the weight-for-age index. Attributes used in this study were the mother’s education level, mother’s level of knowledge, the status of exclusive breastfeeding, history of illness in the last month, and nutritional status of toddlers. The results of the analysis show that there are 21 decision rules. In this study, the resulting decision rules experience inconsistencies. The selection of decision rules that experience inconsistencies is based on each decision rule’s highest strength value. The rough set algorithm can be used for the classification process with an accuracy rate of 86.36%.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a potential danger to the mother and child. Therefore, the risk of anemia in pregnant women requires serious attention from all relevant parties. Considering the numerous negative effects caused by anemia in pregnant women, efforts must be made to prevent and treat anemia in pregnant women by understanding the factors that influence it. This study assesses the risk factors for anemia in pregnant women at Tegal Rejo Community Health Center, Yogyakarta Province. In this paper, a new integrated classification approach with binary logistic regression (LR) analysis and Rough Set Theory (RST) is proposed, in order to examine factors on the incidence of anemia in pregnancy. The proposed model is called the Logistic Regression and Reduction Rough Set (LR3S). In LR3S model, the RST technique is used to detect inconsistent sample and removing inconsistent sample that have probability less than 0.5 before doing LR modelling. To evaluate the development of the resulting model, a comparison was made of the performance of Original Logistic Regression (OLR), LR model after removed outlier namely as Remove Outlier Original Logistic Regression (RO2LR) and LR3S. Using a number of model performance metrics, it is found that LR3S has the best performance for the three models used. Using LR3S model, it is found that CED status, educational level, parity and gestational are significant variable impact on the incidence of anemia.

Abstract

Space time permutation scan statistics merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi kelompok daerah yang memiliki risiko tinggi ( hotspot ) atau rendah ( coldspot ) dari suatu kejadian luar biasa berdasarkan aspek ruang dan waktu. Metode ini hanya membutuhkan data kasus yaitu waktu dan lokasi untuk mendeteksi suatu kejadian tanpa membutuhkan data populasi. Pada penelitian ini, akan ditentukan hotspot kasus pencurian motor di Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat dalam periode Desember 2019 sampai dengan November 2020 dengan menggunakan data kasus harian curanmor yang bersumber dari Kepolisian Resort Kota Padang. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan data spasial dari masing-masing tempat kejadian dengan bantuan dari data satelit Goggle Earth Pro . Daerah yang signifikan secara statistik yang berpotensi menjadi hotspot diambil berdasarkan Likelihood Ratio Test (LRT) dan ditetapkan berdasarkan scanning window yang memiliki nilai LRT tertinggi dengan nilai- p < 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang didapat dengan bantuan software SaTScan, dari 5 calon kandidat hotspot , didapat 2 hotspot yang berpusat di Padang Timur yang meliputi Padang Timur, Padang Selatan dan Lubuk Begalung dan Pauh yang meliputi Pauh, Koto Tangah dan Lubuk Kilangan.

Abstract

Nilai tukar mata uang atau yang sering disebut dengan kurs merupakanharga satu unit mata uang asing dalam mata uang domestik atau dapatjuga dikatakan harga mata uang domestik terhadap mata uang asing.Nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat memainkan peranan sentraldalam perdagangan internasional, karena nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolarAmerika Serikat memungkinkan seseorang untuk membandingkan harga-hargasegenap barang dan jasa yang dihasilkan berbagai negara. Pertumbuhan nilaitukar mata uang yang stabil menunjukkan bahwa negara tersebut memilikikondisi perekonomian yang stabil. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan peramalannilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat untuk beberapa waktu yangakan datang sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan bagi pemerintah. Beberapametode peramalan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meramalkan data time seriesnilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat adalah metode fuzzy timeseries markov chain dan fuzzy time series Cheng. Kedua metode ini akan ditentukanhasil peramalannya kemudian dibandingkan tingkat akurasinya menggunakanMSE, MAE, dan MAPE sehingga diperoleh metode peramalan yangpaling tepat untuk meramalkan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AmerikaSerikat. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh metode terbaik untuk meramalkan nilaitukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat adalah metode fuzzy time seriesmarkov chain.

Abstract

Dalam berinvestasi saham, setiap investor ingin mendapatkan return yang tinggi dan risiko yang rendah. Salah satu cara untuk meminimalisir risiko adalah dengan membentuk portofolio optimal yang menguntungkan dari segi return dan risiko. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) dalam membentuk portofolio optimal. Data yang digunakan adalah data saham dalam Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) periode Desember 2020-November 2021. Pemodelan menghasilkan 5 saham penyusun komposisi portofolio optimal. Return eskpektasi portofolio sebesar 0,015282 dan risiko portofolio sebesar 0,069750. Evaluasi kinerja portofolio optimal yang terbentuk diukur berdasarkan ukuran rasio Sharpe, Modigliani Square dan Treynor. Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa portofolio optimal yang dibentuk dengan Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) layak untuk diinvestasikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors that affect the nutritional status of children aged 6-23 months. The data used were acquired from a survey conducted at mother and child health services (‘posyandu’), daycares, and households in four districts in Padang City, West Sumatera. In this study, variables that are hypothesized to contribute to nutritional status are sex, birth weight, family income, number of family dependents, exclusive breastfeeding status, mother's employment status, education level, knowledge and nutritional behavior. Data analysis was done by using tree structure analysis namely CART method. It is showed that variables which significantly affect the nutritional status of children aged 6-23 months are mother’s education level, knowledge and nutritional behavior. Children with low mother’s education level have higher prevalence of severely underweight and underweight when mother’s knowledge is poor or enough. in the group of children whose mothers have higher level of education, the variable that has a significant influence on child’s nutritional status is mother's nutritional behavior. In the group of children whose mothers have higher level of education, the variable that has a significant influence on child’s nutritional status is mother's nutritional behavior, the prevalence of overweight is likely to be high in children whose mothers nutritional behaviour is not good. Therefore, intervention from related parties is needed to implement programs for improving mother's knowledge about nutrition that will lead to better child’s nutritional status.
