The research method used is a quantitative method. The study was conducted using a survey method, The data collection and research were conducted from March 2024 to July 2024. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews with the Regional Government of Sumedang Regency. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Sumedang Regency, the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Office of Sumedang Regency, as well as other related agencies or institutions. These secondary data were sourced from various origins, processed from the original sources, and presented in a specific format. The necessary data include cross-section secondary data indicating specific time points and also time series data on fisheries from 2019 to 2023. The sampling technique to be used is purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. The results of the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that the fisheries sector in Sumedang Regency has sub-districts that serve as base areas in the aquaculture, capture fisheries, and fish processing sectors. These results prove that Sumedang Regency can meet its own regional needs and also fulfill demands from other areas. Regional development in Sumedang Regency can be maximized by enhancing development in the fisheries sector as a base sector, prioritizing it as a key investment area for regional development.

Abstract

Cultivator satisfaction is an important thing in the implementation of fisheries extension activities. In this case, the satisfaction of cultivators is related to the quality of the fisheries extension services carried out. This study aims to analyze the level of satisfaction of cultivators with fisheries extension activities. The general research method used in this study is the case study method. The data collection technique in this study uses a selected sampling technique. The criteria used to determine respondents include active fish farmers for at least 1 year, continuous fish farming, and ready to be interviewed. The number of respondents interviewed was 61 people. The types of data collected include primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through interviews using questionnaires and field observations. Secondary data is obtained from related agencies and the results of research and scientific publications. The analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The parameter measured is the level of satisfaction of fish farmers using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The indicators used include tangible, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study indicate that the level of satisfaction of fish farmers is very satisfied, with an average CSI score of 83.36%. The average CSI value for tangible indicators was 4.36%, responsiveness was 4.69%, reliability was 4.76%, assurance was 5.53%, and empathy was 6.61%. From the CSI value, it can be seen that the tangible indicator has the lowest average CSI value. The low tangible is suspected to be due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure used by extension workers during fisheries extension activities. For this reason, it is necessary to make efforts from the central government in providing assistance to fisheries extension workers in Bandung Regency due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support in carrying out extension activities.

Abstract

Fish raising using nets is part of intensive reservoir fish farming. This method is known as floating net cages or KJA in reservoirs. The purpose of this research is to examine the overall description of double-layer net KJA fisheries in Bongas Village, as well as the technical performance of these enterprises. The research was carried out in double-layer floating net cages at Saguling Reservoir. A case study research methodology was applied. Purposive sampling was utilized to obtain data from respondents who met the following criteria: fish farmers, active KJA cultivation, 5 years of business experience, and KJA owners/workers. The analysis employed was descriptive. According to the study's findings, there were 44,065 KJA plots and a total output volume of 27,824 tons. The population is in productive age, with 5337 people; the main occupation of respondents is KJA fish farmers, with 17 people (54.84%), business experience of more than 5 years; and in terms of technical performance, one KJA plot measures 7 m x 7 m, with a top net measuring 7 m x 7 m x 4 m. The second layer is 14 m x 14 m x 9 m, with the KJA located at a depth of 8 meters. The brightness of the KJA site is 0.45m, the pH concentration is 6-8, the current strength is 20-40 cm/s, and the fish species include tilapia, carp, and patin. Stocking density: 50-100 fish per m3. Feed 788 and S99. Treatment involves painting or purchasing new ones. Vitamins or antibiotics are given to fish to maintain their health. The water quality around the KJA is pretty excellent. The investment expenses vary from 25 million to 50 million. For operations, KJA owners engage one person to monitor up to ten KJA devices

Abstract

Online applications are something that currently cannot be separated from people's lives, especially urban communities. The opportunity to utilize online applications is also applied in food sales based on the use of online applications, especially for sellers in the category of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Activities that utilize online applications are called Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) where physical contact is not required between sellers and buyers. Online applications are one of the things that can support economic progress, but the use of online applications for sales is still limited depending on the area, areas with poor internet conditions usually rarely use online applications for sales. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the marketing of fishery products (Pecel lele) using online applications along the Jatinangor highway which is an area with a high percentage of students and high potential for internet use. The conclusion of this study shows that most of the pecel lele stalls along Jalan Raya Jatinangor have used online applications for sales and fifty percent of pecel lele stalls stated that turnover from using online applications tends to be higher than conventional sales. The conclusion of this study is that in 12 catfish pecel stalls located along the Jatinangor highway, 75% of all stalls have online applications for sales and 25% do not have online applications for sales. In the turnover obtained, 6 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls get higher turnover profits, 3 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls have decreasing turnover profits, the remaining 3 stalls that do not use online applications do not experience changes in turnover profits, namely sales do not increase or decrease.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the physical feasibility of hydro-oceanography for marine culture business locations with floating net cages in the east coast area of Pangandaran, West Java. The method used in this study was a case study method with secondary data collected from satellite images and publication results. The results of this study showed that the location of the marine culture business with floating net cages on the east coast of Pangandaran is physically feasible for the cultivation of several commodities. Standard parameters for grouper culti-vation (Epinephelus sp.) are as follows: temperature 25-33 °C, salinity 20-35 ppt, pH 6.5-8.9, DO >4 mg/l, and ocean currents 10-75 cm/s. Standard parame-ters for lobster cultivation (Nephropi-dae) are conditionally: temperature 25-32 °C, salinity 25-37 ppt, pH 7.5-8.5, DO >4 mg/l, and ocean currents 5-100 cm/s. Standard aquatic parameters for barramundi cultivation (Lates calcarifer) are conditionally: temperature 26-32 °C, salinity 15-35 ppt, pH 7-8.5, DO >4 mg/l. Hydro-oceanographic parameter data from field measurements showed: temperature 27-30 °C, salinity 33-34 ppt, pH 7-8, DO 5.55-6.5 mg/l, and currents <100 cm/s. This means that hydro-oceanographic parameters for the marine culture on the East Coast of Pangandaran for lobster, grouper, and barramundi commodities are within the feasible category.  Keywords: Lobster culture, ocean data view, water qualty.
