Abstract

Background Mercury is a heavy metal that is widely used in various aspects of human life. However, mercury exposure can damage the liver. The high antioxidant found in coriander leaves is expected to be a solution to the problem in preventing liver damage due to mercury exposure. Aim Proving that administration of coriander leaf extract can reduce the degree of wistar rats liver microscopic damage due to mercury exposure. Methods Experimental study with post test only control group design for 14 days, used 24 male Wistar rats, divided randomly into 4 groups : C (-), C (+) (given mercury orally 10 mg / kgBW), X1 ( given mercury orally 10 mg / kgBW and coriander leaf extract 100 mg / kgBW) and X2 (given mercury orally 10 mg / kgBW and coriander leaf extract 200 mg / kgBW). On the 15th day, rats were terminated, the livers were harvested, microscopic preparations were made and stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin. Observed with a magnification of 400x in 5 different fields of view of each sample and were assessed using Manja Roenigk's score. Results Were obtained normal, mild damage, moderate damage, and severe damage respectively in the group: C (-): 80%, 20%, 0%, 0%; C (+): 0%, 3%, 67%, 30%; X1: 47%, 33%, 17%, 3%; X2: 77%, 23%, 0%, 0%. Spearman test found significant correlation (p = 0,000) with storng correlation ( r = 0.781) and the direction between the two variables is negative (-) . Kruskal Wallis test found significant differences (p = 0,000). Continued Mann Whitney test found significant differences between groups C (-) with C (+) (0,000), C (-) with X1 (0.004), C (+) with X1 (0,000), C (+) with X2 (0,000) ), and X1 with X2 (0.007) and the difference is not significant between C (-) and X2 (0.756). Conclusion Giving coriander leaves extract can reduce the degree of microscopic damage of Wistar rat liver due to mercury exposure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the degree of physical fitness and increase knowledge about the management of physical activity and healthy diet through methods to reduce obesity and overweight rates of Pertamina MOR IV Semarang employees. The method of implementation of this research is Pretest posttest experiment . The total participants were 44 Pertamina MOR IV Semarang internal employees and willing to be  participants in this research was shown by completing the willingness sheet to be a participant. The instruments used are a measurement of body mass index (BMI) and physical fitness and exercise assistance. The results of this study overview found that employees experienced an increase of 41 employees (93.18 %) while that did not increase by 3 Employees (6.82 %). the results showed that there was an increase in the  ercentage rate of physical fitness degree and a significant increase in strength levels compared to the decrease through the program "BE FIT BYE FAT" against Pertamina MOR IV Semarang employees.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektivitasan latihan aerobik dalam menurunkan berat badan dan menjaga kesehatan pegawai Pertamina MOR IV Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Total responden yang berpartisipasi berjumlah 44 orang dengan ketentuan semua responden merupakan pegawai internal Pertamina MOR IV Semarang dan bersedia menjadi bagian dalam penelitian ini, ditunjukkan dengan melengkapi lembar kesediaan menjadi partisipan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kondisi fisik menggunakan laporan tes Tecumseh, senam aerobic, dan jogging. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa 11 orang (25%) secara efektif mampu menurunkan berat badan dan menjaga kesehatan. 19 orang (43,2%) secara berkala mampu menurunkan berat badan, dan 14 orang (31,8%) mampu mempertahankan kondisi normalnya. Secara keseluruhan dalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pola hidup dan pola makan yang baik akan menjaga kesehatan setiap orang. Untuk hasil yang lebih maksimal diperlukan adanya pengawasan monitoring, dan pengevaluasian secara berkelanjutan dan harapannya adalah para pegawai mampu mempertahankan kondisi fisik ditunjang dengan latihan rutin yang terprogram.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh latihan plyometrics terhadap peningkatan kecepatan, kelincahan, dan VO2Max pada klub bolavoli putra Kab. Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi klub bolavoli IVOKAS berjumlah 42 atlet. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 atlet putra dengan usia 16-18 tahun. Teknik penarikan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) Ada pengaruh latihan plyometrics terhadap peningkatan kecepatan pada klub bolavoli putra IVOKAS Kab. Semarang dengan hasil thitung5,319>ttabel2,145 2) Ada pengaruh latihan plyometrics terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pada klub bolavoli putra IVOKAS Kab. Semarang dengan hasil thitung4,509>ttabel2,145 3) Ada pengaruh latihan plyometrics terhadap peningkatan VO2Max pada klub bolavoli putra IVOKAS Kab. Semarang  dengan hasil thitung 2,163>2,145 ttabel. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Analysis of study data using t-test at 5% significance level. The results showed that 1) There is the influence of plyometrics exercises to increase the speed of the volleyball club IVOKAS son Kab. Semarang with the results tscore 5,319> ttabel2,145 2) There is the influence of plyometrics exercises to increase agility in men's volleyball club IVOKAS Kab. Semarang with the results tscore 4,509> ttabel2,145 3) There plyometrics exercises influence on the increase in VO2max in the men's volleyball club IVOKAS Kab. Semarang with the results tscore 2,163> 2,145 ttabel. Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara ketebalan lemak tubuh dengan kondisi fisik atlet pelajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif survey tes dan “One-Shot”model. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota INKAI Kab.Semarang pelajar SD, SMP, dan SMA serta berjenis kelamin laki – laki dan perempuan berjumlah 170 atlet. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive  sampling dengan kriteria usia pelajar  14 – 17 tahun, berjenis kelamin laki – laki, dan sudah menyandang sabuk hijau, biru, cokelat, dan hitam dengan jumlah 20 atlet.  Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu ketebalan lemak tubuh sebagai variabel bebas, serta kondisi fisik atlet karate pelajar putra Institute Karate-do Indonesia sebagai variabel terikat. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran. Metode analisis data menggunakan software SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian dengan regresi sederhana diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.254 = 25.4%> 5%, artinya tidak ada hubungan antara ketebalan lemak tubuh dengan kondisi fisik secara keseluruhan pada atlet pelajar putra Institute Karate-do Indonesia cabang Kabupaten Semarang tahun 2015.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aims to determine the relationship between the thickness of body fat with the physical condition of athletes karate male student. The method used in this research is quantitative research survey test and "One-Shot" model. The population was all members of INKAI Kab.Semarang elementary school, junior high, and high school as well as male sex - amounted to 170 male and female athletes. Sampling using purposive sampling with criteria for students age 14-17 years, male gender - men, and already holds a green belt, blue, brown, and black with the number of 20 athletes. The variable in this study is the thickness of body fat as the independent variable, and the physical condition of athletes karate student son Karate-do Indonesian Institute as dependent variables. Methods of data collection using test and measurement. Methods of data analysis using SPSS 16.0 software. Research results with a simple regression significance value 0254 = 25.4%> 5%, meaning there is no relationship between the thickness of body fat with the overall physical condition of the student athletes sons Institute Karate-do Indonesian branch of Semarang District 2015.

Abstract

During a special period, physical exercise for Kumite athletes is targeted at developing the dominant physical condition. Arm muscular power, leg muscle power, agility, and anaerobic endurance are the dominant physical conditions in Kumite. The high-intensity interval training (HIIT) technique of physical exercise is in agreement with the characteristics of the energy system in Kumite. However, there are issues and contradictions in past research on its implementation. As a result, the purpose of this research was to put the HIIT training method to the test to develop muscle power in the arms and legs, agility, and anaerobic endurance in karate athletes in the Kumite category during the special preparatory periodization stage. This study employed an experiment using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample included 15 male and female Kumite athletes aged 20–25 years, weighing 50–80 kg, and standing 155–180 cm tall. Standing broad jump, two-handed medicine ball put, agility t-test, and running anaerobic sprint test were the instruments used. Interviews, questionnaires, and field tests were utilized to collect data. The data analysis technique employed descriptive analysis and the Wilcoxon nonparametric test. The overall value of Asymp.sig (2-tailed) was 0.001 to 0.009, according to the study's findings. The HIIT training method was found to have a significant effect on improving arm muscle strength, leg muscle power, agility, and anaerobic endurance in karate athletes in the Kumite category. Research has contributed to the sport of karate in the Kumite category through the application of training programs and models that correspond to the characteristics of the specific periodization. Subsequent research, of course, does not only focus on the special periods because other periods are also important.

The reaction of cis-[Pt(15NH3)2(H2O)2] 2+ (3) with glutathione (GSH) was investigated in aqueous solution. In this reaction, the ammine in the platinum complex formed was liberated. Surprisingly two chelate rings were observed, six-membered-S,O-chelate ring complex cis-[Pt(15NH3 )2 (SG-S,O) (7) and five-membered-S,N-chelate ring complex cis-[Pt(15NH3 )2 (SG-S,N)] (8). The bis (thiolate) platinum(II) complex, cis-[Pt(15NH3 )2 (SG)2 ] (9) was always present in this reaction in any mole ratio used. The dinuclear sulphur-bridged complex (10), giving a broad peak in 15N NMR, was only present in very tiny amounts.

Abstract

This study proposes the concept of IoT-based ovitrap as an innovative solution to control the spread of Dengue Fever (DF) in Batam. Utilizing a flexible-access ovitrap monitoring application via smartphones or computers, the Prototype method is employed as the basis for application implementation, with testing conducted to ensure its effectiveness. The hardware system consists of ESP32-cam collecting data from DHT11 sensors and camera, where the data is stored, processed, and then sent to the database. The software is designed to allow manual data input and monitoring through a web application, with Firebase Firestore Database serving as the data storage medium. Data collection methods involve direct observation of IoT-based ovitraps and related technology studies. Through automatic monitoring of temperature, humidity, and calculation of ABJ Container Index, the system aims to effectively reduce the number of DF cases.
