Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) menghasilkan LKPD berbasis inquiry science issues yang layak, 2) mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan, 3) mengetahui sikap kerjasama peserta didik setelah menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan, dan 4) mengetahui respon peserta didik setelah menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Desain penelitian ini yaitu RD dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) dihasilkan LKPD IPA berbasis inquiry science issues yang dinyatakan layak oleh validator dengan kategori sangat baik (A), (2) LKPD IPA yang dikembangkan mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP dengan kategori rendah pada skor gain score dan kategori kurang pada hasil observasi, 3) LKPD IPA yang dikembangkan mampu mengembangan sikap kerjasama peserta didik SMP dengan kategori baik pada hasil observasi dan sangat baik pada hasil angket, serta 4) LKPD IPA yang dikembangkan mendapat respon dari peserta didik dengan kategori sangat baik (A).Kata kunci: inquiry science issues, keterampilan berpikir kritis, LKPD, sikap serjasamaThe aim of this research were 1) to produce an inquiry science issues based student worksheet that reasonable, 2) to know the critical thinking skills after using a student worksheet that developed, 3) to know the cooperative attitude after using a student worksheet that developed, and 4) to know the students’ response after using a student worksheet that developed. Design of this research was categorized as R D research with 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results of this research were 1)produced an inquiry science issues science student worksheets that reasonable with categories very well (A) by validators, 2) science student worksheet developed could develop critical thinking skills in categorized low based on gain score and less based on observation, 3) science student worksheet developed could develop cooperative attitude in categorized good based on observation and very good based on student questionnaire, 4)Science student worksheet developed get categories very well (A) by students response.Keywords: cooperative attitude, critical thinking skills, inquiry science issues, student worksheet

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan komik IPA berbasis PAIKEM dengan tema “Pencemaran Air di Sungai Winongo” berdasarkan penilaian dan validator, mengetahui kreativitas siswa selama menggunakan komik IPA yang dikembangkan, dan untuk mengetahui apakah komik IPA yang dikembangkan dapat menanamkan sikap peduli lingkungan.Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development yang mengadaptasi dari model 4-D, yaitu: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket validasi komik IPA, lembar observasi kreativitas non aptitude belajar siswa, soal tes kreativitas aptitude, angket penanaman sikap peduli lingkungan, angket respon siswa terhadap komik IPA, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran PAIKEM. Data hasil validasi dianalisis secara deskriptif dan data hasil ketercapaian kreativitas dan sikap peduli lingkungan di analisis secara statistik deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komik IPA berbasis PAIKEM dengan tema “Pencemaran Air di Sungai Winongo” layak digunakan. Rata- rata penilaian dari aspek isi, proyek, kebahasaan, dan tampilan oleh dosen ahli mendapatkan skor rata- rata 4,75 dengan kategori sangat baik dan oleh guru IPA mendapatkan skor rata-rata 4,56 dengan kategori sangat baik.Komik IPA yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas aptitude dengan nilai gain score 0,51 kategori sedang dan mengembangkan kreativitas non aptitude dari nilai rata- rata 1,74 dengan kategori kurang baik dihari pertama meningkat 40% menjadi 2,88 dengan kategori baik dan dihari ketiga mengalami penurunan 2,4% menjadi 2,81 masih dalam kategori baik.Komik IPA yang dikembangkan dapat menanamkan sikap peduli lingkungan, 100% siswa memberikan jawaban “Ya” pada setiap poin dalam angket penanaman sikap peduli lingkungan.Kata Kunci : komik IPA, Pencemaran air, kreativitas siswa, sikap peduli lingkunganAbstractThe aims of this study was to determine science comic based on PAIKEM approach with the theme "Water Contamination in Winongo" based on the assessment and validators, knowing the creativity of students for using comic IPA developed, and to determine whether the comic IPA developed can instill environmental awareness.This study is a Research and Development who adapted from 4-D models, consisting of 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Disseminate.The instrument used were validation questionnaire, non aptitude creativity observation sheet, aptitude creativity test, student response questionnaire, and learning activity feasibility. The result of data validation was analyzed descriptively and the result of creativity and enviromental awareness internalization was analyzed with statistic descriptive technique.The result shows that the comic developed is qualified to use. The average score of the assessment based on the content, project, language and layout assessed by the expert lecturers got 4, 75 (categorized as very good), and got 4, 56 (categorized as very good) assessed by the science teachers. The comic could improve the aptitude creativity with the gain score 0, 51 (categorized as fair good). The non-aptitude creativity gain 1, 74 in the first day, then increased by 40% to 2, 88 (categorized as good) in the second day, and in the third day decreased by 2, 4% to 2, 81 (categorized as good). The comic developed can improve the environmental awareness. It was showed from the student responses in the questionnaires, they answered YES for each question within.Keywords: science comic, water polution, creativity ,environmental awareness

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning mengolah potensi lokal industri tahu dengan pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning , dan (2) menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning mengolah potensi lokal industri tahu terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian berupa nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design . Populasi penelitian ini mencakup seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta (VII A-VII H). Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mengambil dua kelas yaitu kelas VII C (kontrol) dan VII A (eksperimen). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan non tes berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran meliputi modul ajar dan LKPD yang telah divalidasi secara konstruktif oleh ahli, sedangkan instrumen tes telah dianalisis menggunakan software Quest . Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui uji independen sample T test , uji effect size , dan uji N-Gain Score . Hasil uji independen sample t-test soal pretest memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,425 ( 0,05) menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji independen sample t-test soal posttest memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 ( 0,05) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Besarnya pengaruh perlakuan diukur dengan uji effect size , diperoleh nilai sebesar 1,170 dalam kategori kuat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang menggunakan potensi lokal industri tahu berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP kelas VII pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan science process and environment terhadap ketercapaian (1)  hasil belajar pengetahuan, (2) hasil belajar sikap ilmiah, (3) hasil belajar keterampilan ilmiah, (4)hasil belajar pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan ilmiah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 192 siswa kelas VII SMP N 1 Tempel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cluster random sampling.Sampel penelitian berjumlah 57 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas VIIE dan VIIF. Kelas VIIE sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIIF sebagai kelas ekspermen. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pretest-posttest, lembar observasi sikap ilmiah dan lembar observasi keterampilan ilmiah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan Uji Manova. Soal pretest-posttest dianalisis peningkatannya menggunakan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1)  pembelajaran IPA berbasis science process and  environment berpengaruh sebesar 26% pada terhadap ketercapaian pengetahuan siswa, (2) pembelajaran IPA berbasis science process and environment berpengaruh sebesar 60% terhadap ketercapaian sikap siswa, (3) pembelajaran IPA berbasis scienceprocess and  environment berpengaruh sebesar 30% terhadap ketercapaian keterampilan ilmiah siswa, (4) pembelajaran IPA berbasis science process and  environment berpengaruh terhadap ketercapaian pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan ilmiah siswa.Kata kunci: science process and environment, hasil belajar pengetahuan, sikap ilmiah, keterampilan ilmiah

Abstract

This study purpose to see the levels of bioethanol produced by bagasse and corn husks with yeast, NPK and urea compositions. The method used in the study was an experiment with a predetermined ratio and fermentation time variables of 7, 14, and 21 days. Quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the average bioethanol levels and bioethanol volumes presented in table form. Meanwhile qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the highest bioethanol levels were in composition A (100% yeast) with a bioethanol content of 36,7% fermented for 21 days. The lowest bioethanol levels were in composition B (100% Urea) with a bioethanol content of 3,3% fermentation time of 7 days. The conclusion of this study shows that the volume of bioethanol has no effect on the levels of bioethanol produced, but this is not constant, because it can be influenced by other factors such as the duration of fermentation time, the materials used and the microbiological conditions during the fermentation process.  Keywords: Sugarcane Bagasse, Bioethanol, Corn Husk, Environmentally Friendly Technology.

Abstract

Science process skills as an approach is very important, due to it fosters experience in science learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of STEAM-based inquiry learning models on students' science process skills. The type of research used is experimental research. The research design used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research data were collected using test techniques using pretest and posttest questions of science process skills, non-test techniques in the form of observation sheets of learning implementation, and observation sheets of science process skills. The data analysis technique used was percentage analysis of the learning implementation sheet and science process skills observation sheet, hypothesis prerequisite test in the form of normality test and homogeneity test, hypothesis testing with independent sample t-test, and effect size test. The results of the independent sample t-test test have a significance value of 0.013 <0.05, which shows a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The magnitude of the treatment effect is measured by the effect size test, resulting in a value of 0.642, which is included in the strong category. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the STEAM-based inquiry learning model significantly affects students' science process skills.

Abstract

The massive growth of technology has transformed the learning environment for young generations. This (new) learning environment offers both benefits and challenges, such as brain rot phenomenon. Brain rot refers to cognitive decline, resulting from excessive screen time and overconsumption of short-duration content. Thus, this study examines whether brain rot affects speaking learning strategies among junior high school students, who are part of Gen Alpha and born as digital natives. A mixed-methods approach was applied, involving 64 students who completed questionnaires, followed by interviews with six participants. The findings indicate that students’ brain rot levels are generally low to moderate, while their speaking learning strategies are at moderate levels, with higher use of metacognitive and socio-affective strategies compared to cognitive strategies. Linear Regression analysis shows that brain rot has a significant and negative effect on speaking learning strategies, explaining 19.6% of the variance. The interviews confirm that excessive screen time leads to cognitive fatigue and cognitive load. These results highlight the need for teachers and parents to monitor students’ digital media use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media video terintegrasi potensi lokal kampung wisata sayidan dengan model Discovery Learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan peserta didik SMP kelas VII . (2) mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning berbantuan media video terintegrasi potensi lokal kampung wisata sayidan terhadap kemampuan berpikir siswa kritis didik SMP kelas VII. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol nonequivalent pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas VII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan soal pretest dan posttest berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji N-Gain , uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test, dan uji effect size . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media video terintegrasi potensi lokal kampung wisata sayidan dengan model Discovery Learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan peserta didik SMP kelas VII. Model Discovery Learning berbantuan media video terintegrasi potensi lokal kampung wisata sayidan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP kelas VII dengan hasil uji Independent Sample t-test sebesar 0,000 dan uji effect size sebesar 0,724.
