Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of intellectual capital on market value with financial performance as an intervening variable: evidence from banking companies in Indonesia and Malaysia. The analysis tool uses Partial Least Square to test hypotheses. The results of this study are intellectual capital affects the financial performance of banking companies in Indonesia but does not affect the banking companies in Malaysia. Intellectual capital does not affect the market value of banking companies in Indonesia but affects banks in Malaysia. Financial performance affects market value in Indonesian banking companies but does not affect banking companies in Malaysia. For indirect or mediation effects, the result is that financial performance can mediatethe effect of intellectual capital on market value in banking companies in Indonesia but not for banks in Malaysia. Banking companies must pay attention to intellectual capital management because of its impact on financial performance and market value. The market will give a higher valuation to companies that have increased financial performance. Next, companies with improved financial performance will be responded positively to the market so that it will increase market value.

Abstract

This research dives into the complex dynamics between information technology, organizational culture, and employees at bfreshgigi, a dental health company that is transforming in the digital era. Through in-depth interviews with six employees from various positions, the study reveals how information technology is not just a tool, but a fundamental game changer. Organizational culture emerged as a critical counterweight, sometimes supporting innovation, but sometimes hampered by hierarchical structures. Employee performance was found to go far beyond mere productivity, encompassing adaptability and creativity. The findings suggest that alignment between technology, culture and performance is critical; when aligned, the results are outstanding, but imbalances can trigger stress and demoralization. This study not only enriches theoretical understanding but also offers practical insights for organizations struggling with digital transformation.

Abstract

Cash holding plays a crucial role in maintaining corporate liquidity and financial flexibility, especially in capital-intensive industries such as food and beverage manufacturing. This study examines whether firm size moderates the relationship between leverage, cash flow, and profitability on cash holding in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2018–2022. The research employed a purposive sampling method, yielding 18 companies (57 firm-year observations). Data were analyzed using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS 26. The results show that leverage (t = 3.217; p < 0.01) and cash flow (t = 2.948; p < 0.01) have a significant positive effect on cash holding, while profitability (t = 0.842; p > 0.05) has no significant impact. The R² value of 0.623 indicates that the independent variables explain 62.3% of the variation in cash holding. Furthermore, firm size significantly moderates the effects of leverage and cash flow, but does not moderate the relationship between profitability and cash holding. These findings highlight that larger firms tend to manage cash more effectively when facing leverage pressure or high cash flow, strengthening the understanding of liquidity management behavior in Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.

Abstract

Micro-Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) is a renewable energy solution suitable for remote rural areas with river flow availability. This study was carried out in Kampung 17, Batulawang Village, West Java, through the Community Service Program of HMM ITPLN, by designing and implementing a simplified MHPP system. The analysis indicates a hydraulic power potential of 1.511 kW with an effective head of 3.08 m and a discharge of 0.005 m³/s. Of this potential, the maximum utilized power reached 1.108 kW, equivalent to 73.32% of hydraulic energy utilization. The system is capable of producing approximately 26.6 kWh per day or around 798 kWh per month, matching the total demand of 12 households and one mosque in Kampung 17. If this demand were supplied by the national grid (PLN) under the R-1/TR 1300 VA category at Rp1,444.70 per kWh, the monthly cost would amount to approximately Rp1,152,870. Hence, the MHPP enables annual savings of around Rp13.8 million while ensuring local energy independence

Abstract

Research aims: Using influence and route analysis tests, this study will examine how digital marketing, intellectual capital, item innovation, and competitive advantage have been used to boost the achievement of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).Design/Methodology/Approach: The researchers in this study used a quantitative research strategy based on survey data. Due to its sheer size and employment density, the food and beverage industry in East Java is chosen as the study's population of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Probability sampling is the method used for the sampling. Various tests are employed in data analysis, including validity, reliability, hypothesis, and route analysis.Research findings: Based on the findings, digital marketing, intellectual capital, and item innovation are factors that impact MSME achievement and competitive advantage to a lesser extent. Furthermore, MSMEs' success is partially impacted by digital marketing, intellectual capital, and item innovation, all of which contribute to their competitive edge.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study addresses a gap in the literature by investigating the factors that contribute to the improvement of achievement for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME), specifically looking at the effects of digital marketing, intellectual capital, and item innovation. Here, variables such as market domination, new item development, IQ, and internet advertising come into play. By exploring how this generation's digital marketing and intellectual capital function, the study adds to the field's knowledge.Practitioners/Policy Implications: Findings from this research stress the need for a multi-faceted strategy to boost MSME performance, rather than a singular emphasis on digital marketing, ICM, item innovation, and competitive advantage. With this in mind, it is anticipated that MSME players would devise plans that incorporate these four aspects in order to improve market competitiveness and welfare.Research Limitations/Implications: Although the results are significant, there are a number of caveats to this study. It is possible that the study's geographical scope and the industries it examined are too narrow. The success of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) in areas such as digital marketing, IP, item innovation, and competitive advantage could differ in different regions and sectors. Hence, due to variations in technical infrastructure, resources, and markets, it is possible that not all MSMEs or locations may be completely served by this study's findings.

Abstract

General Background: Village fund governance is central to strengthening local development and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly inclusive economic growth. Specific Background: In Indonesia, large fiscal transfers to villages demand transparent and accountable management by village officials to prevent misuse and ensure community benefits. Knowledge Gap: Existing studies often emphasize administrative compliance, while limited attention is given to how village officials operationalize transparency and accountability within local socio-institutional contexts. Aims: This study examines the role of village officials in managing village funds transparently and accountably as part of SDGs Goal 8 implementation. Results: Using a qualitative case study in Tambak Kalisogo Village, findings show that transparency is practiced through participatory budgeting, public reporting, and digital financial systems, while accountability is reinforced by multi-level reporting, community oversight, and institutional collaboration. Novelty: The study highlights a governance practice that integrates formal regulations with participatory and digital mechanisms at the village level. Implications: These findings suggest that strengthening institutional capacity and community involvement is essential for sustainable and inclusive village economic development aligned with SDGs 8.
