Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning models. Project Citizen is based on a Pop-up Book on students' critical and creative thinking abilities in Civics subjects. This type of research is quantitative research in the form of a Pre-Experimental Design with a group Pretest-Posttest type. The sample for this research was 12th grade MIPA 2 students at SMA Pasundan 2 Cimahi City, totaling 32 students. Two types of instruments were used in this research, including observation sheets and critical and creative thinking skills tests. Validity test uses Pearson correlation and reliability testing using Cronbach's alpha. The research results show that Project Citizen's learning model is based on a Pop-up Book on students' critical and creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Basically, one strategy in shaping the character of the nation's next generation is through instilling character values ​​in students at school, which can be implemented using the Pancasila Education textbook. This research aims to strengthen students' values ​​and ethics, so that they become individuals who are honest, empathetic and responsible, who in turn are expected to be pioneers of change that bring hope for a better future. This research methodology is a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. The results of the research show that the character values ​​contained in the Pancasila Education textbook are spread throughout the book's chapters, including (1) the introductory section which contains an invitation or exclamation, (2) the content of the material which includes students' activities in searching for information and reading discourse, as well as (3) a closing section which includes reflection, individual and group assessment.

Abstract

The research carried out aims to see trends in ethnopedagogical research in Papua that is integrated with local Papuan culture. Classified as Rivew's systematic research, known as Systematic Literature Review (SRL). The article screening process is adjusted to the inclusion criteria according to the research topic which can be used as primary data and secondary data. Next, the data analysis and triangulation process was carried out by paying attention to each component that was used as the basis for the inclusion criteria. The results of the research show that there are various derivations for each component assessed which are spread starting from journal indexers and adjusted to the derivation of learning materials and can be integrated with every aspect and component of local Papuan culture which is oriented towards research trends in the learning process in the Papua region. Based on the findings obtained, it can be concluded that the ethnopedagogical trend is closely related to the development of a learning process that is in accordance with Papuan culture and local wisdom through critical components of inclusion so that through an ethnopedagogical approach it can create a meaningful learning process and have a cooperative learning process orientation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan keterampilan sosial sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan Parents Day di SMP Alfa Centauri, Bandung. Program ini fokus pada sinergi antara keluarga dan sekolah dalam membangun keterampilan seperti komunikasi, kerja sama, empati, dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan program, aktivitas siswa, serta dampaknya terhadap karakter siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan Parents Day secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa, seperti kemampuan berkomunikasi efektif, empati, dan bekerja dalam tim. Meskipun belum sepenuhnya berhasil, program ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam upaya menanamkan keterampilan sosial sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menghadirkan kebaruan dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Hasilnya diharapkan berkontribusi pada pengembangan keilmuan di bidang ini.

Abstract

Literasi digital menjadi keterampilan esensial di era digital, namun banyak siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengevaluasi informasi secara kritis dan etis. Model pembelajaran Rational Building dirancang untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir analitis, kreatif, dan reflektif, sehingga siswa dapat lebih kritis dalam mengolah informasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Rational Building terhadap peningkatan literasi digital dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SMPN 43 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Rational Building secara signifikan meningkatkan literasi digital dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dalam kemampuan mengevaluasi sumber informasi, mengidentifikasi bias, serta membuat keputusan yang lebih rasional dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Rational Building dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan abad ke-21, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital yang semakin kompleks. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Rational Building secara signifikan meningkatkan literasi digital dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dalam keterampilan mengakses, mengevaluasi, serta memanfaatkan informasi digital secara kritis dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang terlihat dari kemampuan mereka dalam menganalisis masalah, mengevaluasi argumen, dan menyusun solusi berdasarkan bukti yang tersedia.

Abstract

Objective: Diversity is inevitable in every community, including the school environment. By weaving diversity together, schools can create safe, respectful, and supportive spaces, allowing every student to feel accepted and valued. This study examines trends in peace education research as a pillar for creating safe and comfortable learning environments. Method: Using bibliometric analysis, the study reviews data from the Scopus database covering the period from 2019 to 2024, with keywords such as "peace education," "harmonious education," and "civilized education ."Results: The analysis of the Scopus database from 2019 to 2024 shows an increasing recognition of the role of peace education in character-building and promoting inclusive education practices. The findings reveal that the United States is the primary contributor to peace education research, with significant contributions from institutions such as the University of Cambridge and the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Further analysis identifies several key themes in this research, including the integration of peace values into the curriculum, addressing socio-cultural challenges, and efforts to promote tolerance and mutual respect in school environments. Novelty: This study contributes to understanding trends, collaboration opportunities, and policy implications to enhance peace education and create globally harmonious learning environments.

Abstract

This study analyzes the strengthening of participatory citizenship skills among Generation Z students in the digital age, with a particular focus on their abilities to engage with public issues, monitor policies, and influence political processes. Using a qualitative approach with 150 participants, data were collected through open-ended questionnaire-based interviews and analyzed using thematic techniques. The research findings indicate that although students demonstrate advanced discursive skills and actively engage in online discussions, their participatory practices exhibit a spectrum of sophistication ranging from basic digital deliberation to more strategic forms of collaboration, such as advocacy, investigation, and documentation. However, these skills often face significant internal and external barriers, including public apathy, misinformation, and unsupportive socio-political practices. The study underscores the urgent need for innovative citizenship education that embraces experiential learning, digital collaboration, and project-based approaches that are adaptive to the characteristics of Generation Z. Recommendations The findings of this study make an important contribution to education because they offer ways to shape responsible citizens through digital integration, participatory pedagogy, and critical digital literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Games Snake Ladder terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan minat belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama, serta mengevaluasi keterlaksanaan model tersebut dalam pembelajaran IPS. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan minat belajar siswa akibat pembelajaran konvensional yang masih mendominasi di sekolah. Model PBL dikenal mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, namun seringkali belum dilengkapi dengan media pembelajaran yang menarik. Oleh karena itu, permainan Games Snake Ladder digunakan sebagai media pendukung untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, interaktif, dan kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest, melibatkan siswa kelas IX SMP YAS Bandung yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, angket minat belajar siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor pretest dan posttest keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta peningkatan minat belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan melalui partisipasi aktif dan antusiasme selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa model ini terlaksana dengan baik dan mendorong siswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam proses pemecahan masalah. Dengan demikian, integrasi model PBL dan media Games Snake Ladder terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPS di tingkat SMP. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu menjawab tantangan rendahnya keterlibatan dan keterampilan berpikir siswa di kelas.
