Abstract

Concidentally educator in chosed instruction model influence of communicate skill level and concept’s mastery. Communicate skill and concept’s mastery to training by instruction model appropriate would be accompany student for more significant instruction. The research for get a effective instruction model in increase communicate skill and concept’s mastery to acid-based materials. Learning Cycle 3E model consist from 3 phase : Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration. Sample in research is students in senior high school state 1 pekalongan, Class XI sains one and XI sains four, even semester  school year 20012-2013 have a same characteristics. The research is kuasi-experiment method with non equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Effectiveness LC 3E measure and based on significant gain increase. The research indicated average value N-gain communicate skill. For control and experiment class each 0,55 and 0,66 and average N-gain concept’s mastery for control and experiment class 0,53 and 0,65. Based on hypothesis test, know that class with LC 3E instruction have communicate skill and concept’s mastery more high than class with convensional instruction. In this matter , indicated that LC 3E effective to increase communicate skill and concept’s mastery.Kata kunci : keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model Learning Cycle 3E, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s originality thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter.  The population of this research was students in grade XI science class of MAN 1 Metro whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and these were XI2 and XI3 of science class.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the average n-gain of student’s originality thinking skills of control class was 0,25 and 0,52 for experiment class.  Proving the hypothesis showed that discovery learning model was effective to increase student’s originality thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir orisinil siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Metro semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain keterampilan berpikir orisinil pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,25 dan 0,52.  Pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learningefektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir orisinil pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir orisinil, model discovery learning

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve the flexibility skills in chemical equilibrium subject matter. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Purbolinggo semester of academic year 2013-2014. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class XI IPA 2 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class. The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between experiment and control class. The results showed that the average n-gain of flexibility skills of control class was 0,38 and 0,58for experiment class. The result of hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach was effective to improve the flexibility skills in chemical equilibrium subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan scientific dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran kesetimbangan kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas pendekatan pada pembelajaran ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-gain keterampilan fleksibilitas i untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,38 dan 0,58.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan scientific efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci: fleksibilitas, kesetimbangan kimia, pendekatan scientific.

Abstract

Based on observation and interview with chemistry subject teacher in Grade X of State Senior High School 01 Simpang Pematang in Mesuji, the results showed that the average marks of Grade X students’ concept mastery on hydrocarbon material in academic year 2009-2010 was 50.35. The minimum accomplishment criteria established by the school for chemistry was that 100% of students should get more than 62 and only 45% of them got more than 62. The observation results showed that learning process was still dominated by teachers, while students were passive and on taskactivities were low. An effort to overcome this problem was by implementing empirical-inductive learning cycle model in giving hydrocarbon material.The objective of this research was to describe implementations of empirical-inductive learning cycle model to improve: (1) percentage average of on task students’ activities; (2) average of concept masteries; and (3) students’ learning accomplishment. This was a classroom action research which was conducted in three cycles. This research used quantitative data in forms of students’ on task activities, concept masteries, and students’ learning accomplishment.The results showed improvement from cycle 1 to cycle 2 and from cycle 2 to cycle 3 which included: (1) percentage average of each student’s on task activity including asking class mates (6.94% and 12.511% respectively), asking teachers (6.95% and 12.50% respectively), giving opinions (9.72% and 11.11% respectively, answering question (9.72% and 9.73% respectively); (2) concept mastery (8.81% and 7.83% respectively); and (3) student’s learning accomplishment (13.89% and 36.11% respectively ) Therefore, all established performance indicators were achieved.Keywords: empirical-inductive learning cycle, concept mastery, learning accomplishment, on task  activity.

Abstract

Science learning that happening today seldom use worksheets, worksheets are used by teachers not to increase value of divinity and care toward the environment. This research aims to develop students worksheets providing value divinity and care toward the environment on the nature of solution material. The method in this research is research and development. The result of this research and this development formed in worksheets which have characteristics; a) being able to improve the values of divinity and care toward the environment, b) have the steps which suitable with sintaks in scientific approach, c) including a practicum, d) including a concordance rate of the content equality of 75.00% readability level of 80.00%, and the concerdance rate of 88.00% increase in construction all of which are included in the category of high in very high.Pembelajaran IPA yang berlangsung selama ini jarang menggunakan LKS, LKS yang digunakan guru tidak menumbuhkan nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKS bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan pada materi sifat larutan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa LKS yang memiliki karakteristik yaitu, a) mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, b) memiliki tahapan-tahapan yang disesuaikan dengan sintak pendekatan scientific, c) disertai dengan kegiatan praktikum, d) memiliki tingkat kesesuaian isi yaitu sebesar 75,00%, tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 80,00%, dan tingkat konstruksi sebesar 88,00% yang semuanya termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi.Kata kunci:cintalingkungan,LKS,nilai ketuhanan, sifat larutan.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine effectiveness of guided inqurylearning model in improving skill in classyfing and concept mastery at hydrocarbons matters. Population was all students of Grade XMAN 1 Bandar Lampung in the even of academic year 2011-2012 with class X7 dan X8 as the samples.This research used non equivalent control group design wasthe quasi-experiment design with pretest and posttest seen the difference between the experimental class and the control class.  The results showed that average value of n-Gain skill in classyfing in experimentaland control class were respectively 0.42 and 0.80; and average value of n-Gain for concept mastery inexperimental and control class were 0.22 and 0.55Based on hypotesis test, it can be seen that class that usedguided inqury learning model had higher skill in classyfing and concept mastery than class with conventional learning model. It was showed that guided inqury learning was more effective to improve  skill in classyfing and concept mastery than conventional learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan penguasaan konsep pada materi pokok hidrokarbon.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung semester genaptahun ajaran 2011-2012.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu berdasarkan pertimbangan peneliti, dan didapat kelas X 7 dan X 8 sebagai sampel.Penelitian ini menggunakan Non EquivalentControl Group Design yaitu desain kuasi eksperimen dengan melihat perbedaan pretest maupun posttest antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen adalah0,42 dan 0,80. Sedangkan nilai rerata n-Gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen adalah 0,22 dan 0,55.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa kelas dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing memiliki keterampilan mengelompokkan dan penguasaan konsep yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi hidrokarbonlebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan penguasaan konsep dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, mengelompokkan, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe scientific attitude and improvement of higher order thinking skills of acid and base using problem solving learning model. The method used The Matching only pretest and posttest control group design. Sample in this research were taken by purposive sampling tehnique. The effectiveness of problem solving learning model in improving HOTS is t-tes and scientific attitude is qualitative description. The results showed that the average value of n-Gain HOTS were using problem solving learning are higher than using the conventional learnig and percentage of sciencetific attitude student’s in category medium and high are improvement. The conclution of this research was problem solving learning model is effective to improve higher order thinking skills and drill scientific attitude of student’s.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi sikap ilmiah dan peningkatan HOTS (keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi) pada materi asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan The Matching only pretest and posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan HOTS materi asam basa digunakan uji t dan sikap ilmiah dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa nilai n-gain HOTS model pembelajaran problem solving lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional serta persentase sikap ilmiah siswa kategori sedang dan tinggi mengalami kenaikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi asam basa efektif dalam meningkatkan HOTS (keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi) serta dapat melatih sikap ilmiah siswa. Kata Kunci: sikap ilmiah, model pembelajaran problem solving, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi

Abstract

Chemistry is one of knowledges that learn abstract phenomena and difficult to understand by students generally and chemical learning at this momen only in makroscopic and symbolic dimension, whereas submicroscopic often deserted. The research aim to develop module of multiple representation based on the acid base material.Method used on this research is research and development (R D) according to Sukmadinata (2009). But on this research, step only arrive to step of main product revision. Research and development on this research have three steps. There are step 1st) needs analysis that consist of literature study and field study, step 2nd ) planning and development that consist of planning preliminary product, develop preliminary product,validation, and preliminary product revision, step 3th) preliminary field test, and main product revision.Results of this research is development module of acid-base based on multiple representations  which have characteristic: 1) module refers to the SK and KD, 2) material packaged in units of learning activities, modules arranged in a systematic and attractive, giving rise to interest in reading to students, 3) the material presented in the modules developed chemical, described by multiple representations, 4) accompanied by examples and illustrations that support the material, 5) the language used is simple and communicative, 6) have level of contents suitability is very high that is 82 % and have level of aspects graph 86,35 % according to teacher, also have high level of legibilityt is high that is 79,26% according students.Key words :  module, multiple representation, the chemical acid base material

Abstract

This research aimed to develop module of solution characteristic contain of divinity value and environmental awareness; and describe the module characteristics; describe the teachers and students response at developed module; and know the obstacles encountered when developing modules. The research method was Research and Development (RD) which consists of three steps: (1) preliminary studies, (2) product development and (3) describe the response a teacher and students towards the product. From the results of teachers feedback showed that content’s suitability of module with curriculum is very high at 97.78%, the aspect graph/the attractiveness is very high at 100% and students respons about levels of legibility is very high at 83.61%. Student and  teachers give possitive respons to advanced module.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul sifat larutan bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, serta mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul, respon guru dan siswa terhadap modul yang dikembangkan, dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang ditemui ketika mengembangkan modul. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (RD) yang terdiri dari tiga langkah: (1) studi pendahuluan,(2) pengembangan produk dan (3) mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap produk. Dari hasil tanggapan guru diperoleh data bahwa kesesuaian isi modul dengan kurikulum sangat tinggi sebesar  97.78%, aspek grafika/kemenarikan sangat tinggi sebesar 100% dan tanggapan siswa mengenai tingkat keterbacaan sangat tinggi sebesar 83.61%. Siswa dan guru merespon baik modul yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci: kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, modul, nilai ketuhanan, sifat larutan

Abstract

This research aimed to develop animation media based on multiple representations about solubility and constant solubility product material. This research methods used "Research and Development" methods. The result of the research is development product of animation media based on multiple representations about solubility and constant solubility product material. The product which has sections such as opening and title of the program, introduction, instructions to use, KI-KD, cognitive indicator,the material solubility and constanta solubility product, literature, developer profiles, and exit button of program, have a very high content suitability until 95% according to the teacher and high level of the attractiveness that is 89,85% according to the students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis multipel representasi pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk pengembangan berupa media animasi berbasis multipel representasi pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali yang memiliki bagian-bagian berupa opening dan judul program, kata pengantar, petunjuk penggunaan, KI-KD, indikator kognitif, materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, literatur, profil pengembang, dan tombol keluar dari program, memiliki tingkat kesesuaian isi yang sangat tinggi 95 % menurut guru,memiliki tingkat kemenarikan yang sangat tinggi yaitu 89,85 % menurut siswa.Kata kunci: kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, media animasi, multipel representasi
