Abstract

Research And Development has the objective to develop science process skills based assessment (KPS). The method used in the research and development is a Research And Development (R D). Characteristic assessment generated by finite trials are as follows : 1) Test the opinion of interesting 76,45% of student at the high category, 2) Test the suitability of the content of the material ini the opinion of the teacher 82,78% is very high category, and 3)Test readability 83,8% according to the teacher’s category is very high category and amounted to 76,4% according to the student’s category is high category. In the process of the development of this assessment, there are obstacles that faced some problems are difficult to describe both macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic that the translation of assessment is a simple matter becomes difficult.Keywords : Assessment, KPS, Acid Bases

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument based on science process skills. The research method used is Research and Development (RD). Based on feedback from students, this assessment instrument has a 84% rate the attractiveness and readability level of 86,39%. Based on feedback from teachers, this assessment instrument has a readability level of 81,33% and 84,44% level according to the contents. Constraints faced in the development of assessment instrument is the difficulty in developing matter to measure the science process skills (observing, classifying, predicting, inferring, and communicating), the difficulty in making images submikroskopis, and the lack of reference to make matters enrichment that can measure the skills process of science students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen assessment berbasis keterampilan proses sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD). Berdasarkan tanggapan dari siswa, instrumen assessment ini memiliki tingkat kemenarikan 84% dan tingkat keterbacaan 86,39%. Berdasarkan tanggapan dari guru, instrumen assessment ini memiliki tingkat keterbacaan 81,33% dan tingkat kesesuaian isi 84,44%. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan instrumen assessment ini adalah kesulitan dalam mengembangkan soal untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains (mengamati, mengklasifikasi, memprediksi, menyimpulkan, dan mengkomunikasikan), kesulitan dalam membuat gambar submikroskopis, dan kurangnya referensi untuk membuat soal pengayaan yang dapat mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa. Kata kunci : assessment, hasil kali kelarutan, kelarutan, keterampilan proses sains

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of POGIL model to increase critical thinking skills in chemical equilibrium topic. The population is all of students XI Science at one of Senior High School in Bandar Lampung teaching year 2018/2019, sample selected by purposive sampling tehnique obtained XI Science 5 as experiment class and XI Science 6 as control class, use quasi experiment method with pretestt-posttest control group design. Experiment class use POGIL model and control class use lecture convensional. The result with t-test indicated that score of n-Gain mean difference was significantly different experiment and control class, supported by the persent of student activity average at experiment class is higher than control class, and POGIL model was implemented by high criteria. From the result can be conclude that the learning with POGIL model is effective to increase critical thinking skills in chemical equilibrium topic. Keyword : Chemical equilibrium, critical thinking skills, effectiveness of POGIL modelPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model POGIL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa XI MIPA di salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2018/2019, sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu XI MIPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol, menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretestt-Posttest Control Group Design. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model POGIL dan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode ceramah. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata skor n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, ditunjang dengan rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, serta model POGIL terlaksana dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model POGIL efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci : Efektivitas model POGIL, kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Learning effectiveness is a measure related to the level of success of a learning process. Said effective learning and by contributing to student learning outcomes if the student learning outcomes showed statistically significant differences between the early understanding of the development of understanding after this learning. The research done to describe the effectiveness of LC 3E model in improving grouping skills and concept’ mastery. LC 3E model consists of 3 phases which exploration, explaination, and elaboration. Samples were students of Senior High School State 1 Pekalongan XI Sains 1 and XI Sains 4 class in odd semester of School Year 2012-2013 that have similar characteristics. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Effectiveness of the LC 3E model was measured by an increase in N-significant gain. The results showed that the mean n-Gain of grouping skill control and experiment classes respectively 0.49 and 0.66, and the mean n-Gain concept’s mastery for grade control experiments respectively 0.53 and 0, 65.  Based on the research results, it was concluded that the learning cycle instructional model 3E effective in improving grouping skills and concept’s mastery.Keywords: Learning Cycle three phase model, grouping skill, and concept’s mstery

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning by using the scientific approach in acid base subject matter in increasing the student’s flexibility thinking skills. The population in this research was students of grade X1 Science class SMA Negeri 3 Metro in the Academic Year 2013-2014.  Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and obtained X13 and X15 as research classes.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The effectiveness of scientific approach was showed by the significant difference of n-gain score between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the n-gain average of student’s flexibility thinking skills for control class and experiment class were 0,33 and 0,54 respectively.  From hypothesis testing was known that scientific approach was effective in increasing student’s flexibility thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Metro Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan  kelas XI IPA3dan XI IPA5  sebagai kelas penelitian.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas pendekatan saintifik ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-ratan-gain keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,33 dan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,54.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa, materi asam basa, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

This study aims to describe the PLGI model in improving students' high order thinking skills in hydrolyzing salt topics. This research used a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design; furthermore, a purposive sampling technique was used to determine the samples, thus XI MIPA 1 was chosen as an experimental class and XI MIPA 2 was a control class. The data analysis technique is the non-parametric statistical test, the Mann-Whitney U test. In this study, the average n-gain of the experimental and control classes is 0.67 and 0.49 both of which were in the medium category. After tested by Mann-Withney U, there is a significant difference in the mean n-gain of high order thinking skills of students in the experimental class and the control class with the value of Asymp. sig. (2-tailed) is 0.00. This shows that the PLGI model is effective to improve the students' high order thinking skills. Keywords: hydrolyzing salt, high order thinking skill, PLGI model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model PLGI untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada materi garam menghidrolisis. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, pengambilan sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, didapatkan kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik yaitu uji Mann-Withney U. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh rata-rata n-gain kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sebesar 0,67 dan 0,49 yang keduanya termasuk kategori sedang. Setelah diuji statistik, didapatkan perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata n-gain keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan nilai Asymp. sig. (2-tailed) 0,05 yaitu sebesar 0,00. Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe effectiveness of the learning model of guided inquiry in improving communication skills and mastery of concepts in solubility and solubility product lesson. Samples in this research were students of State Senior High School 1 Tumijajar of classes XI Sciences 3 and XI Sciences 4 even semester School Year 2011-2012 that have equal academic abilities. This research used a quasi experiment method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Effectiveness of the learning model of guided inquiry was measured by significant differences in control class and experiment class, shown by significant gain. Based on the results of this research, average value of N-gain for communication skills in control and experiment class were 0,59 and 0,66; and the average value of N-gain for mastery of concepts in control and experiment class were 0,39 and 0,55. Hypothesis testing in this research used test two average different with t-test.  The hypothesis result test show that class that used learning model of guided inquiry had higher communication skills and mastery of concepts than class with conventional learning model. This indicated that learning model of guided inquiry was effective to improving communication skills and mastery of concepts in solubility and solubility product lesson.  Keywords: guided inquiry, communication skills and mastery of concepts

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the skill of prediction and communication on the solubility and Ksp matter by using guided inquiry learning models for high, intermediate and low groups of student. The subjects werestudents of class XI IPA3SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. This research used the pre-experimental method, a one-shot case study design, and descriptiveresearch statistics. The results showed that the skill of prediction in high levelgroup 70% were excellent, 30% were good; in intermediate level group, 30%were excellent, 60% were good, and 10% were enough; in the low level group,10% were excellent, 40% were good, 40% were enough, and 10% were less. Theskill of communication in high level group 40% were excellent, 50% were good, and 10% were enough; in intermediate level group, 10% were excellent, 65% were good, and 25% were enough; in the low level group, 10% were good, 40% were enough and 50% were less.Keywords: guided inquiry, skill of prediction and communication, solubility andKsp.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness  of ADI learning model to improve science process skills based on academic ability on additive and addictive topic. This research used quasi experiment method with Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Samples was selected by purposive sampling. Instruments used were student worksheets based on ADI learning model, pretest and posttest.  Data analysis techniques used were ancova test and t-test. Result of research  showed that average value of n-gain science process skills were using ADI learning are higher than the conventional learning not only high academic ability but also low academic ability, average value of n-gain science process skills were using ADI learning that high academic ability students didn’t differ significantly with low academic ability students. The conclusion of this research is ADI learning model was effective to improve science process skills based on academic ability on additive and addictive topic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran ADI dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif ditinjau dari kemampuan akademik.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperiment dengan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design.  Sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah LKS berbasis model pembelajaran ADI, soal pretes dan postes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji ankova dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu rata-rata n-gain ­ KPS siswa menggunakan model ADI lebih tinggi dibanding rata-rata n-gain KPS siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional baik kemampuan akademik tinggi maupun kemampuan akademik rendah, rata-rata n-gain  KPS siswa kemampuan akademik tinggi tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan rata-rata n-gain KPS siswa kemampuan akademik rendah pada pembelajaran menggunakan model ADI. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model ADI efektif dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa materi zat aditif dan adiktif berdasarkan kemampuan akademik. Kata kunci: kemampuan akademik, KPS, model pembelajaran ADI

Abstract

This study aims to develop scienceprocess skills (SPS) based assessmenton material influence ofthe rate of reaction.The research methodused is theResearchand Development (RD).The results of this assessment, the development of the 15 multiple choice questions on the grounds, and 8 essay questions that measure indicators of cognitive products, and indicator SPS students who presented using macroscopic representation, submicroscopic representation, and symbolic.Results from the limited  testing it is known that SPSbased assessmentis in accordancewith thecurriculum of the SK-KD is the  percentage of 95.20%, is in accordance with the indicator SPS is the percentage 98.18%, has a very highlevel oflegibilityto the percentage of 86.56%, and has a very highlevel of interesting with thepercentage of88.33%. Based on theresponsesof teachers, SPS based assessmentis feasible for students tested.Keywords: assessment, reaction rate, scienceprocess skills
