Abstract

Literasi matematika adalah kemampuan untuk memahami, menggunakan, dan mengkomunikasikan konsep-konsep matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, kemampuan literasi matematika pada siswa di Indonesia dari berbagai jenjang masih berada pada level rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam memecahkan soal cerita pada materi SPLDV berdasarkan tahapan Polya yang ditinjau dari gaya kognitif field dependent dan gaya kognitif field independent. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII C SMPN 1 Surakarta. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan reduksi dan analisis data secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan indikator kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent memenuhi kemampuan literasi merumuskan masalah (formulate). Pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematika dari siswa field independent yaitu kemampuan litarasi matematika pada indikator merumuskan masalah (formulate), mengggunakan masalah (employ), menafsirkan masalah (interprete), dan mengevaluasi solusi. Dalam tinjauan gaya kognitif, penelitian ini juga dapat membantu mengidentifikasi perbedaan gaya kognitif siswa dan bagaimana gaya kognitif tersebut mempengaruhi kemampuan mereka dalam memecahkan soal cerita. Guru dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini untuk mengadaptasi pengajaran mereka sesuai dengan gaya kognitif individu siswa, yang memungkinkan personalisasi pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan untuk menginvestigasi faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya kemampuan literasi siswa di tingkat SMP atau sederajat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berisi tentang analisis kemampuan berpikir probabilistik siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS ditinjau dari kemampuan numerasi. Kemampuan berpikir probabilistik siswa menjadi perhatian di bidang Pendidikan khususnya pada pembelajaran matematika, hal tersebut dikarenakan kemampuan berpikir probabilistik siswa cenderung rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir probabilistik dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS yang ditinjau dari kemampuan numerasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik Analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan, analisis, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa kelas XI TKJ A di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta semester gasal tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Ketiga siswa diambil berdasarkan kemampuan numerasi rendah, tinggi, sedang. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan numerasi, tes kemampuan berpikir probabilistik dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan numerasi rendah memenuhi kemampuan berpikir probabilistik pada level 1 Subjektif. Pencapaian kemampuan numerasi sedang memenuhi kemampuan berpikir probabilistik pada level 1 Subjektif. Pencapaian kemampuan numerasi tinggi memenuhi kemampuan berpikir probabilistik pada level 2 Transisi.

Abstract

This study describes the ability to solve systematic problems regarding field-dependent (FD) and field-independent (FI) cognitive styles in arithmetic material. Solving systematic problems based on the APOS theory (action, process, object, schema) describes the ability of each student's cognitive style. This type of research is descriptive, using a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of four students consisting of two students with an FD and two FI styles in class X SMA Negeri 1 Gemolong. Data collection methods are tests and interviews. The instruments in the research were the researchers themselves, the GEFT (Group Embedded Figure Test) test as an instrument in selecting research subjects, a test of the ability to solve arithmetic problems based on APOS and interview guidelines. The analysis technique used in this study is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students with a FI cognitive style were better at problem-solving than students with an FD cognitive style. Subject FI can solve mathematical problems systematically based on APOS theory, and FI can determine methods for solving mathematical problems and originate from their thoughts not influenced by other parties. Meanwhile, FD has difficulty solving problems systematically and understanding and making mathematical models, which tends to be problematic in understanding mathematical problems and solutions that do not originate from their thinking.

Abstract

HOTS questions are designed as evaluation material to measure students' understanding and abilities in learning mathematics. However, the implementation of this concept is often hampered by the difficulties students face when solving these questions. The aim of this study is to examine the mistakes made by high school students in responding to HOTS questions, utilizing Watson's criteria and focusing on students' numerical abilities. The analysis of student mistakes involved utilizing Watson's error classifications, which encompass eight error indicators. This research includes qualitative descriptive research. Data was collected through written tests and interviews. The findings of the study reveal a notable association between errors and numerical proficiency in HOTS questions. A high numerical level has one of the eight Watson indicator errors, a medium numerical level has between two and four of the eight Watson criterion errors, and a low numerical level has more than 4 Watson criterion errors. The prevailing mistake made by students is the omitted conclusions, which is observed among students with high, moderate, and low numerical skills.The causes involve a lack of habit of writing conclusions, negligence, and rushing due to time constraints.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika untuk memecahkan masalah matematika dengan lebih dari satu penyelesaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dengan kemampuan berhitung tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal SPLDV. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.7 SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berhitung, tes berpikir kreatif matematis, dan pedoman wawancara. Indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang diukur meliputi kelancaran, keluwesan, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga cara untuk menganalisis data, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berhitung siswa dengan kategori tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang baik. Siswa dapat memenuhi aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi. Kemampuan berhitung siswa dengan kategori sedang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang relatif baik. Siswa dapat memenuhi aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, dan elaborasi tetapi belum memenuhi aspek orisinalitas. Kemampuan berhitung siswa dengan kategori rendah memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang kurang baik. Siswa belum memenuhi aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berhitung menentukan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. One of the goals in learning mathematics to solve mathematical problems with more than one solution. This research aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of students with high, medium, and low numeracy skills in solving SPLDV problems. The subject of this study were 32 students of grade VIII.7 at SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta. The approach to this study is a qualitative description. The instruments used in this research were a numeracy test, a mathematical creative thinking test, and an interview guideline. Mathematical creative thinking ability indicators measured include fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The data analysis technique used in this study uses three ways to analyze data, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the numeracy ability of students with high categories has good creative thinking skills. Students can meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The numeracy ability of students with medium categories has a relatively good creative thinking ability. Students can meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration but have not fulfilled the originality aspect. The numeracy ability of students with low categories has poor creative thinking skills. Students have not met the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. It can be concluded that numeracy skills determine students' mathematical creative thinking ability.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini berguna dalam memahami sampai manakah peserta didik dapat memahami matematika apabila diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan basis peta konsep dan hasil dari penggunaan model pembelajaran tersebut dilihat dari keaktifan peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 62 peserta didik dengan setiap kelasnya memiliki jumlah 31 orang, dengan dua sub kelas control dan kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan ujian atau tes dalam bentuk esai. Metode penganalisisan data mengaplikasikan perhitungan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pada model pembelajaran tidak ditemukan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil pembelajaran peserta didik dengan nilai FA = 0,049 < F0.05;1;56 = 4,012, (2) Ditemukan adanya pengaruh signifikan pada keaktifan peserta didik terhadap hasil pembelajaran matematika dengan nilai FB = 100,657 > F0.05;2;56 = 3,161, dan (3) Tidak ditemukannya pengaruh signifikan pada interaksi antar model pembelajaran dan keaktifan peserta didik terhadap hasil pembelajaran matematika dengan nilai FAB = 1,465 < F0.05;2;56 = 3,161.

Abstract

The probabilistic thinking of junior high school students in Indonesia seems to be still low. It is a concern in education, especially in mathematics learning, solving HOTS  problems in  Algebraic material.   The study aims to analyze students'  probabilistic thinking ability in solving HOTS  questions regarding field-independent and field-dependent cognitive learning styles. The study's methodology consisted of a combination of descriptive techniques and qualitative approaches. Students in the first semester of the 2022-2023 school year at SMP Negeri 1 Polokarto, where the research was conducted, participated in the study. There are a total of four topics, two of which are suited to the Field Independent learning style and two to the Field Dependent method. Students with Field Independent cognitive learning styles were shown to have the requisite level 2 probabilistic thinking capacity, which indicates an ability to communicate. The answer to the question is based on its quantitative ability. Meanwhile,  the achievement of probabilistic thinking ability from students with a  Field Dependent type learning style, namely the ability to think probabilistic at the personal level   (level 1), means that students still require guidance from the teacher so that they can answer the questions appropriately.

Abstract

21st-century learning is learning that makes literacy a major component. Mathematical literacy is the ability of individuals to reason mathematically, formulate, implement, and analyze problems to find a solution in a real-world context. This study aims to analyze the mathematical literacy ability of grade IX students in shape and space content in terms of mathematic self-concept. One of the difficult materials in mathematics is shape and space. The difficulties experienced by students have psychological factors that influence one of them is self-concept mathematics. This study used qualitative research methods with stages of giving tests, filling out questionnaires, and structured interviews. This study's subject was a grade IX A MTs PPMI Assalam Sukoharjo student. Data analysis techniques use techniques from Milles and Huberman by reducing data then presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are that students with high self-concept mathematics can meet the indicators of formulating problems, using concepts, and analyzing mathematical results in real-world contexts. Students who moderate self-concept mathematics are only able to meet the indicators of formulating problems and using concepts. In contrast, students with low self-concept mathematics are only able to meet indicators using - mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan faktor penting dalam pembentukan karakter generasi masa depan. Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) Indonesia telah meluncurkan inovasi berupa penggunaan platform digital dalam pendidikan, seperti Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM). Platform Merdeka Mengajar dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk kolaborasi dan berbagi antar guru. Penggunaan platform digital untuk pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Dasar (SD) sangat dibutuhkan. Salah satu inovasi yang diluncurkan pemerintah adalah Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM). Tujuan dari penelitian  ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan fitur Asesmen Murid dalam PMM pada pembelajaran Matematika materi statistika tentang data dan ketidakpastian di SDIT Ar-Risalah Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pemanfaatan fitur asesmen murid pada PMM dapat membantu pelaksanaan asesmen pembelajaran Matematika pada materi statistika (2) Fitur asesmen murid dalam PMM memudahkan guru untuk menganalisis pembelajaran dan memetakan kemampuan peserta didik agar dapat dimanfaatkan untuk merencanakan pembelajaran selanjutnya  yang lebih baik

Abstract

It is empirically known that metacognitive skill contributes to self-regulated learning. This study aims to describe students’ metacognitive skills in three levels of self-regulated learning, particularly in solving problems of a two-variable linear equation system. Three indicators were used in metacognition skills, namely planning indicators, monitoring indicators, and evaluation indicators. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved  All students of grade VIII A of  the academic year 2021/2022 from a state junior school    as subjects  involving each category for high, medium, and low self-regulated learning. The data were collected  using questionnaires, tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. A triangulation method, The data were then analyzed  through condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. is the current study found that high learning students used their metacognitive skills well and met three indicators, namely planning indicators, monitoring indicators, and evaluation indicators. Students with moderate self-regulated learning were able to meet two indicators, including planning indicators and monitoring indicators, while those with low self-regulated learning only met planning indicators.
