Abstract

The problem of partners in Community Service Activities is that teachers are not able to operate computers or laptops properly. As a result of these conditions, the teacher is unable to use Microsoft Word smoothly. On the other hand, the use of Microsoft Word is very necessary for teachers both for administrative purposes, the need for the preparation of scientific work or the preparation of teaching materials. The solution used to overcome partner problems is through Microsoft Word learning activities. The learning method implemented is through group discussions, deliberations, internal training and workshops. The results obtained were an increase in partner knowledge in operating Microsoft Word and the teacher gave a positive response to the training activities.

Abstract

Pejuang Muda is a program for students to come down to the community who need helpby making social change through various activities. From designing to execution of relevant social programs for the area. Through this Pejuang Muda Program, students will be given the opportunity to directly apply their knowledge and provide social impact for the community, and play an active role as an agent of social change. Young Fighter Programfocusing on social entrepreneurship, which will give students the opportunity to gain experience infield and placed in priority areas including post-disaster areas, poverty areas, regional Remote Indigenous Community (RIC). The Pejuang Muda Program is an opportunity for students to implement the knowledge gained in college and actualize himself by plunging directly in the community. In addition, there is natural potential as well as human resources that can be extracted from underprivileged communities in the midst of their limitations. In this Pejuang Muda program,The Dalloid Art Studio community is the target group for the empowerment program.By analyzing existing resources and potential, the Pejuang Muda Humbang Hasundutan strives to increase productivity and work motivation of the Dalloid Art Studio community in making musikal instruments Batak tradition through developing, mentoring and training.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on all aspects of people's lives. This impact is no exception for small, medium and large entrepreneurs. As a result of the pandemic, the community in general MSMEs must survive and struggle. One thing that MSMEs must do is switch from traditional businesses to digital businesses. To help MSME entrepreneurs switch to digital businesses, digital entrepreneurship training is provided. The training provided starts from Canva's business model, content marketing, website design, Google My Business, social media optimization and power merchants. The method used is lecture and practical training. The results obtained are that MSME entrepreneurs are able to design businesses with the Canva business model, market content, create websites and Google My Business, optimize social media as digital marketing and have an online store.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether differentiation learning in junior high school mathematics learning was practical. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eighth graders of St Yoseph Private Junior High School Medan, which consisted of five classes with 32 people in each class. The sample in this study was 64 students consisting of 32 students for the experimental class and 32 for the control class. The results showed that the average student activity in content differentiation was 2.33 in the excellent category, the application of process differentiation was 2.33 in the excellent category, and the application of product differentiation was in a suitable category. The average value of teachers' ability to implement content differentiation is 3 in the excellent category, the average value in the implementation of process differentiation is 2.25 in the excellent category, and the implementation of product differentiation is 2.75 in the excellent category. Based on the results of research and hypothesis testing that has been carried out, the differentiation learning process runs effectively, which can improve students' mathematical abilities. This can be seen from the difference in the average post-test score of students in the experimental class and control class of 2.25%, the percentage of students who meet the KKM is 62.5%, the average student activity is 76.6%, and also the average level of teacher ability in managing differentiation learning in the experimental class is 89%. This research implies that differentiation learning is effectively used for junior high school mathematics learning

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' difficulties in solving numerical patterns in the context of the Toba Batak ethnic culture after the implementation of the Realistics Mathematic Education Approach in the context of the Toba Batak Tribe Culture. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII Junior High School (SMP) totaling 32 people. The data collection tool used in this study is a test that totals ten questions in the form of a description. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques are carried out by tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that students had difficulty determining the sequence of numbers, determining the configuration of a sequence of numbers, determining the arithmetic series, determining the number of n first arithmetic series terms, determining the first term n row geometry, and determine the number of n first terms of the geometry series. The causal factor is that students are not able to distinguish the general formula concept of a sequence and the concept of configuration patterns from a sequence of numbers, operating error calculations and not understanding integer ranks.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) validitas Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS) matematika kelas X SMA yang dikembangkan dengan penerapan variasi model pembelajaran kooperatif; (2) efektivitas pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa  matematika dengan menerapkan variasi model pembelajaran kooperatif. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) yang mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Aktivitas Siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Lembar Aktivitas Siswa matematika kelas X SMA yang dikembangkan adalah valid dengan skor rata-rata dari validator adalah 4,56 atau 91,2%. Dikatakan valid artinya layak digunakan atau dipakai dalam pembelajaran matematika; (2) Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa matematika dengan menerapkan variasi model pembelajaran kooperatif adalah efektif. Hal tersebut dianalisis berdasarkan observasi aktivitas siswa, kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol. Siswa pada kelas eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS) dan menerapkan variasi model pembelajaran kooperatif yaitu tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), Numbered Head Together (NHT), Think Pair Share (TPS), dan Jigsaw pada kelas eksperimen. Sementara siswa pada kelas kontrol dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS) dan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: Lembar Aktivitas Siswa, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif   Abstract. The objectives of the research are: (1) The validity of student’s Mathematic worksheet for tenth grade of senior high school using various cooperative leaning models; (2) The learning effectiveness of student’s Mathematic worksheet sheet using various cooperative learning. The method used is research and development that develops students’ Mathematic worksheet as teaching media. The research findings are as follows: (1) Senior high school students’ worksheet is valid with the average score 4.56 or 91.2%. It means the students’ worksheet can be used in Mathematic learning; (2) Learning using students’ Mathematic worksheet with various cooperative learning models is effective. It can be analysed based on the students’ work observation, teacher’s skills in managing the class, and the students’ achievement in experiment class and control class. The students are treated by using students’ worksheet and applying various cooperative learning models, those are Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), Numbered Head Together (NHT), Think Pair Share (TPS), and Jigsaw in experiment class. In contradictory, the students in control class experienced learning without using students’ worksheet and they got conventional learning. Abstract

The Implementation Of This Research Was Carried Out From May To June 2022. The Purpose Of This Study Was To Obtain Information About Student Learning Outcomes In The Form Of Creative Thinking Skills In Material 1, Namely The Relationship Between Space Diagonals, Plane Diagonals, And Diagonal Planes And Material 2 Namely The Nature Of The Spatial Structure In Class VIII Tri Sakti Catholic Middle School 2 Medan After Using The Direct Learning Model And The Differentiation Learning Model. Methods/Techniques In Collecting Data In This Research Are Tests: (1) Tests, (2) Documentation (3) Observations. To See The Improvement In Posttest Results Compared To Pretest And Posttest Results, The T-Test Using Spss Was Used For Significant Changes. The Application Of The Direct Learning Model And The Differentiation Learning Model Can Improve Student Learning Outcomes In Material 1, Namely The Relationship Between Space Diagonals, Plane Diagonals, And Diagonal Planes 2 And In Material 2, Namely The Properties Of Spatial Structures. This Can Be Seen From The Results Of The Tests Given To Students. The Results Of The Implementation Of The First Cycle By Applying The Direct Learning Method Obtained A Completeness Level Of 50% While The Implementation Of The Second Cycle By Applying The Differentiation Learning Model Obtained A Classical Completeness Level Of 67%. Then In The Results Of The T-Test, The Significance Value In The Direct Learning Model Is 0.000 And The T-Count Is 0.979 And The Differentiation Learning Model Has A Significance Value Of 0.010 And The T-Count Is 1.967. Learning Activities Carried Out By Teachers And Students Went Well With The Application Of The Differentiation Learning Model In Learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the influence of the Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model with the help of ice breaking on students' mathematical numeracy literacy and to find out the average numeracy literacy ability taught with the Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) learning model with the help of ice breaking whether it is higher than using conventional learning on comparison material in grade VII SMP Negeri 31 Medan. This type of research is quantitative with quasi experimental design. These results show that H1 has an influence on the Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) learning model with the help of ice breaking on students' mathematical numeracy literacy, judging from the t test showing sign results. (2 tailed) of 0.01 < 0.05. The H2 test has no effect of ice breaking on students' mathematical numeracy literacy, judging from the t test shows the results of sign.(2 tailed) of 0.07 > 0.05. As for H3, there is an influence of the Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) learning model with the help of ice breaking on students' mathematical numeracy literacy, judging from the f test obtained sign. (tailed) by 0.00 < 0.05. In the N-Gain Score test, Ha is accepted, namely the increase in numeracy literacy taught with the Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) learning model with the help of ice breaking higher than students who obtain conventional learning, with an average N-Gain Score in the experimental class of 0.71 > an average N-Gain Score in the control class of 0.41.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan Model Pembelajaran Cooperatif Tipe STAD untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran akar kuadrat bagi siswa kelas IV SDN 064025 Medan. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sebanyak dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 064025 Medan yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Model Analisis Interaktif (Miles & Huberman) yang terdiri dari 3 komponen, yaitu reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Pemahaman siswa meningkat sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal akar kuadrat terhadap waktu yang ditentukan. Pada Kondisi Awal, berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan terdapat 15 siswa yang kesulitan terhadap mata pelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui Model Pembelajaran Cooperative tipe STAD meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika tentang penyelesaian soal akar kuadrat bagi siswa Kelas IV SDN 064025 Medan terhadap waktu yang ditentukan.

Abstract

Differentiated instruction is proposed to ensure that students receive learning activities that meet their prior-ability, characters, or needs. This study aims to examine the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who received differentiation learning in comparison to those who attended conventional learning. Conducted in a Catholic Junior High School in Medan during the 2020/2021 academic year, this quasi-experimental study was set in Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eigth-graders from 7 parallel groups with 31 people in each. The sample in this study was 22 students consisting of 11 students for the experimental class and 11 students for the control class. The results showed that the average value of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities who participated in differentiation learning was 71.02, while that of conventional learning was 62.73. The difference in the average value of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in the experimental class and control class is 8.29. From the results of hypothesis testing, the value of tcount = 2.68 and ttable = 1.725 means that tcount t table is 2.68 1.725. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, hence, the mathematical problem solving ability of students who joined differentiation learning (Differentiated Instruction) is better than those who attended the conventional learning.
