Abstract

Abstract: This thesis is entitled "The Development of Wahidin Education Foundation in Bagansiapiapi City in 1987-2014". The purpose of this research is to find out (1) how the history of the establishment of the Wahidin Education Foundation (2) How the development of the Wahidin College Foundation in 1987-2014 (3) The role of Chinese ethnicity in the Wahidin College Foundation. This research uses a historical approach, data collection methods with field studies in the form of observations and interviews as well as archival and document studies. This research was conducted at the Wahidin Education Foundation School in the City of Bagansiapiapi. After the data has been collected, data testing is carried out with source criticism, namely by testing the authenticity of the sources and comparing one data to another, such as comparing the results of interviews with written evidence. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that the Wahidin Education Foundation School was born with a background of several ethnic Chinese in Bagansiapiapi, in 1957 at which time the educational conditions in the city of Bagansiapiapi lacked fields for schools. So some of the ethnic Chinese and the surrounding community agreed to build the Wahidin Education Foundation, considering the importance of education. The founder of the Wahidin Education Foundation also hopes that this school can form a young generation who has competence, a sense of nationalism and a strong foundation of religious education according to their respective beliefs. The research results of this thesis are: (1) The Wahidin School of Education Foundation was founded in 1957, the first initiator was Kapitan Weng and was legally legalized in 1967 in front of a notary. (2) The Wahidin College Foundation School has experienced quite rapid development over the years, in several aspects such as the number of students, the number of teachers and several equipment that meet educational needs. (3) The role of Chinese ethnicity plays a very important role in the development of their special education in the city of Bagansiapiapi as evidenced by the establishment of the Wahidin Education Foundation.Key Words: Wahidin Educational Foundation in Bagansiapiapi City

Abstract

Abstract: The ancient Minangkabau government system was led by Datuak / Penghulu (traditional leader), Cadiak Pandai (clever clever / scientist) and Alim Ulama (Religious Expert) or known as tungku tigo sajarangan. The purpose of this research is to find out the origin and history of the tungko tigo sajarangan, to find out why there are still people who do not understand the Minangkabau tradition, the role of the Tungko tigo sajarangan in preserving Minangkabau customs to determine the causes of the shift in Minangkabau customs, and in Pariangan Village, this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using data analysis model Miles and Huberman. Tungko tigo sajarangan is a customary manners originating from Pariangan Village. One of the reasons for the lack of understanding of Minangkabau customs is due to external cultural influences and they do not want to learn about it. Minangkabau customs from ancient times until now have been similar but different in their implementation. The role of Tungku Tigo Sajarangan in preserving the Minangkabau custom in Pariangan Village has been running according to its role. Where the tungku tigo sajarangan teaches about the Minangkabau customs. The main obstacle to the Tigo Sajarangan furnace in preserving Minangkabau customs is the nature of the community, including a materialistic nature.Key Words: Role, Tigo Sajarangan Furnace, Preserving, Custom

Abstract

Abstract: Each region in Indonesia has its own characteristics and uniqueness, this can be seen from the traditions and culture that exist in that area. Likewise, Simalungun Regency has so many traditions that are still there today and are still being preserved, one of which is the Rondang Bintang tradition. The purpose of this research is to find out about Rondang Bintang, how the procedures for implementing Rondang Bintang, the values contained in the Rondang Bintang tradition, and the role of the government in preserving Rondang Bintang. The method used in this research is qualitative. The data obtained from the interviews were then analyzed in their own language. This research has been carried out since the beginning of the title of this research until this thesis is completed. The data collection techniques are Observation Technique, Interview Technique, Documentation Technique and Literature Technique. As for the results of this study, some of the people of Simalungun generally cultivate rice and corn as commodities, and have a habit after harvesting to hold a thanksgiving for the harvest obtained, the community calls it Rondang Bintang. Rondang Bintang is a tradition that is carried out after the harvest season as a thanksgiving for the success of the big harvest and it is during this opportunity that parents will give advice to young people about the types of life karma and deliberation for the improvement of tomorrow. However, at this time Rondang Bintang has been taken by the government and it is the government that regulates the timing of its implementation and so on the series of events. However, the government also has an important role in its preservation, one of which is providing a budget for this activity..Key Words: Preservation, Rondang Bintang

Abstract

Abstract: The Basesombau tradition is a one of the oral traditions that exist in the village of Sekijang, Tapung Hilir Sub-District,Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Which is carried out when there is a customary event such as in a traditional ceremony to enter the tribe, a traditional wedding ceremony, the coronation of Ninik Mamak and the appointment of Datuk Pucuk and others. Until now The Basesombau tradition is still maintained by prioritizing traditional ceremonies in an event because according to the Sekijang Village community they think they prioritize traditional activities over activities that are entertaintment in an event. The purpose of this research is to understand how the history of The Basesombau it self, so that we also know how the procession of The Basesombau tradition, understand the functions and values of The Basesombau tradition and the efforts made by traditional leaders and communities in Sekijang Village in preserving The Basesombau tradition today. The author uses qualitative research because this study looks at social and cultural behavior in the life of the Sekijang Village community from the process of The Basesombau traditional activities in traditional event.Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interview observation and documentation study then interpreted according to the context. The result of this study are that The Sekijang Village community maintains The Basesombau tradition, because this oral tradition has been carried out from generation to generation. Because in The Basesombau tradition there are various functions and values that can be used as guidelines in daily life and life in society.Keywords: The Basesombau Tradition, Function, Values, Processions, Sekijang Village Community

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted in Pemtang Village, Pangean District. The purpose of this study is to find out the cultural customs of marriage in Pemtang Village, Pangean District, to find out how the procedures for implementing the marriage customs of the Pemtang Village community, Pangean District, to find out how the role of niniak mamak in the implementation of marriage in Pemtang Village, Pangean District, to find out how the shift in the implementation of marriage customs in the Pemtang Village community, Pangean District. The method used in this research is qualitative. The data obtained from the interviews were then analyzed in their own language. This research began to be carried out from the beginning of the title of this researcher being submitted until this thesis was completed. Data collection techniques used are Observation Techniques, Documentation Techniques, Interview Techniques, and Data Analyst Techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are several forms and conditions of marriage that are prohibited by custom, namely ethnic marriage and pregnancy outside of marriage, the requirements for marriage are in the form of customs and administration.Key Words: Shifting Marriage Traditions

Abstract

Abstract: Kuala Terusan village is located on the banks of the Kampar river, Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district, Pelalawan district and is inhabited by 115 families who work as traditional fishermen as the main income with simple fishing gear, so their economic level is still below the poverty line. The number of health and education facilities is also a factor in changing the village economy. The research objectives: (1) To determine the educational condition of the fishing community after the formation of the Pelalawan Regency government. (2) This is to determine the health condition of the fishermen community after the formation of the Pelalawan Regency government. (3) This is to determine the working conditions of the fishing community after the formation of the Pelalawan Regency government. (4) This is to determine the condition of the income of the fishermen family of the fishermen community after the formation of the Pelalawan Regency government. The method used in this research is qualitative research methods. The results of the research: Traditional Fishermen in Kuala Terusan Village are classified as below, this is due to the lack of supporting factors such as the lack of education, health and access facilities in Kuala Terusan Village. So that it hinders the economic changes of the fishing community, the socio-economic changes after the formation of the Pelalawan Regency government, namely the opening of access to the village make it easier for the fishing community to expand the place to sell their catch and the community can also access education and health facilities that do not exist in the village. Abstract

Eksistensi diartikan sebagai keberadaan. Dimana keberadaan yang di maksud adalah adanya pengaruh atas ada atau  tidak adanya kita. Eksistensi ini perlu “diberikan” orang lain kepada kita, karena dengan adanya respon dari orang di sekililing kita ini membuktikan bahwa keberadaan kita di akui. Masalah keperluan akan nilai eksistensi ini sangat penting, karena ini merupakan pembuktian akan hasil kerja atau performa didalam suatu lingkungan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang (1) Proses Rumah Menteri  Kerajaan Indragiri sebagai Cagar Budaya; (2) Upaya yang dilakukan Pemerintah dalam Pengelolaan Rumah Menteri Kerajaan Indragiri sebagai Cagar Budaya; (3) Eksistensi Rumah Menteri Kerajaan Indragiri sebagai Cagar Budaya. Jenis penelitian  ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif yakni mendeskrisikan jawaban melalui observasi,wawancara dari informan dan dokumentasi serta studi pustaka. Pengumpulan sumber diperoleh dari Perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu, Perpustakaan Prof.Suwardi, Perpustakaan Wilayah Soeman H.S Pekanbaru. Serta melakukan wawancara kepada keluarga sebagai ahli waris, para pemerhati sejarah Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu, Dinas-dinas terkait dan Masyarakat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu khususnya di sekitaran bangunan Cagar Budaya tersebut. Hasil penelitia menunjukan bahwa Rumah Menteri Kelautan Kerajaan Indragiri masih banyak yang berkunjung bukan hanya masyarakat lokal sekitar tetapi wisatawan nasional bahkan internasional seperti Malaysia, walaupun mengalami pasang surut.

Abstract

Abstract : Doctor Major R. M. Soemitro was a Doctor graduated from STOVIA medical school in 1935, he was a figure of Riau fighter who came from Java Island precisely in Pekalongan, Central Java. Being a graduate of a medical school during Dutch rule in Indonesia, he was assigned to work on several major islands in Indonesia such as on the island of Kalimantan, Java and Sumatra. Transfer of duties to the island of Sumatra, he was assigned to Selatpanjang because at that time there was an epidemic and the Selatpanjang General Hospital lacked medical personnel. The research objectives carried out by the author include To find out the profile of the Doctor Major R.M Soemitro, to find out the role of the doctor Major R.M Soemitro as a Riau fighter in 1942-1950. To find out the end of the struggle of Doctor Major R. M. Soemitro in exile by the Dutch and to find out the process of transferring the tomb of Doctor Major R. M. Soemitro. The method used by the author is histroriography method which emphasizes on four stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. Japan's defeat against the allies caused the situation to be difficult for the Japanese government to continue to rule in Indonesia. The government vacuum in Bengkalis was immediately taken over by the Chinese, the Bengkalis people who did not receive it agreed to appoint a Doctor Major R.M Soemitro to be their leader, this was the beginning for him to take up arms in Riau. In 1946 Doctor Major R.M Soemitro joined TKR / BKR Bengkalis, then in Rengat immediately formed a V Regiment under the leadership of Major Toha Hanafi and he was appointed as Health Major. During the Dutch Military Aggression in Rengat he was taken prisoner by the Dutch and exiled to Penuba Island.Keywords: Doctor Major R. M. Soemitro, Riau Fighters

Abstract

Abstract: The shoot of shoots tenun house is a house located on the commercial street of Senapelan bandar village, Pekanbaru city. This house is a house inhabited by the women of the KSM (Self-Help Group) of the Bandar village who have been keeping traditional woven fabrics in their safekeeping since 2012. This program received help from PNPM (Community Empowerment National Program) in the form of weaving instructors and tools and materials. This weaving mill is chaired by Mrs. Wawa Edini as the janitor of the weaving mill, who is assisted by other members of the weaving mill and currently this weaving mill is managed by BI (Bank Indonesia). to learn more about the development of Pucuk Rebung Weaving House handicraft business in Bandar Senapelan Village, Pekanbaru City in 2012-2019. The data analysis used qualitative research methods consisting of several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. As a result of this research, this weaving mill is a house that preserves traditional Malaysian weaves since 2012, in its development, this house has gone through quite rapid development from tools for weaving to kinds of woven handicraft production. This weaving house is known to the wider community in the conservation of traditional woven fabrics to various other Asian countries such as France, Singapore, Malaysia.Key Words: History, Development, Weaving House, Village Bandar, Senapelan

Abstract

Abstract: The Mobile Brigade was originally a special police force during the Japanese occupation named Tokubetsu Kaisatsu Tai. The purpose of this study (1) to determine the background of the formation of the Mobile Brigade in South Tapanuli (2) to determine the role of the Mobile Brigade in defending Indonesian independence during the battle of Fort Huraba Tapanuli Selatan 1949 (3) to determine the end of the struggle of the Mobile Brigade in defending Indonesian independence in combat Huraba Fort Tapanuli Selatan 1949. This research uses historical methods. The result of the research is that the formation of the Mobile Brigade in Tapanuli was initiated by a member of Tokobetsu Kaisatsu Tai named Mas Kadiran who has the rank of junsha butyo (police commander). The commander of sector I Sub-Territory VII of South Tapanuli / East Sumatra / Asahan / Labuhan Batu appointed Mas Kadiri, commander of the Mobile Brigade as the defense commander at Fort Huraba. In the battle of Fort Huraba on May 5, 1949, 27 people were killed. After the battle of Fort Huraba on May 5, 1949, until the ceasefire in August 1949, the Dutch never made another attack on Fort Huraba.Key Words: Mobile Brigade Independence, Fort Huraba
