Abstract

Telah dilakukan perancangan sistem sirkulasi bahan pustaka otomatis menggunakan sensor RFID dan motor servo yang terhubung dengan website. Sistem ini mampu melakukan identifikasi data pengunjung serta buku yang ada pada perpustakaan. RFID digunakan sebagai sensor yang dapat membaca kartu ID anggota perpustakaan yang telah didaftarkan sebagai anggota. Data yang dibaca akan tersimpan pada basis data dan ditampilkan pada layar LCD. Motor servo sebagai pengunci pintu pada rak buku khusus akan terbuka saat menggunakan kartu anggota. Kemampuan RFID dalam membaca kartu anggota adalah  1 cm, LCD juga dapat menampilkan data yang dibaca oleh RFID, dan motor servo dapat bergerak tanpa kendala. Sistem ini menggunakan NodeMCU ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler sebagai pengontrol sistem. Sistem juga memiliki website yang digunakan untuk menampilkan data pada basis data agar dapat dipahami dengan mudah.

Abstract

Kualitas air merupakan aspek yang sangat menentukan keberhasilan budidaya udang vaname. Kualitas air yang diperhatikan diantaranya adalah suhu dan pH air. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem yang melakukan pemantauan serta pengendalian terhadap suhu dan pH air pada pendederan udang vaname dengan memanfaatkan sensor dan aktuator. Sensor yang digunakan adalah sensor DS18B20 sebagai pendeteksi suhu dan sensor pH-4502C sebagai pendeteksi pH air, sedangkan aktuator yang digunakan adalah relay, pompa air untuk mengaliri pH up atau pH down ke tambak, heater untuk menaikan suhu dan fan untuk menurunkan suhu air. Data suhu dan pH air yang terdeteksi oleh sensor diteruskan ke mikrokontroler untuk diproses lalu ditampikan pada LCD serta menyalakan aktuator jika suhu dan pH air tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan yang diberikan. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini yaitu sebuah sistem yang dapat memantau serta mengendalikan suhu dan pH air dengan persentase kesalahan sensor DS18B20 sebesar 1,19% dan sensor pH-4502C sebesar 1,23%. Nilai yang didapatkan setiap sensor ditampilkan pada LCD, serta menyalakan pompa air jika 7 > pH > 8,5, heater jika suhu < 28°C dan fan jika suhu > 30°C. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa sistem yang dirancang berfungsi dengan baik untuk memantau serta mengendalikan suhu dan pH air pada pendederan udang vaname

Abstract

At this research has determined the fundamental frequency of talempong musical instruments using the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) method. The research is divided into three stages, namely recording dataset retrieval, method implementation and base frequency analysis. In this research, sound recordings of talempong are collected into a dataset which is divided into several frequencies and then synthesized using the STFT methods then synthesized using the STFT method to determine the frequency of the talempong sound signal to determine the frequency of the talempong sound signal. The frequency value from the STFT process is then compared with the general base frequency to determine the percentage of accuracy of the talempong sound synthesis. From this research, the results obtained average error value of 4,39% and an accuracy percentage of 95,61%.

Abstract

Utilization of various radioactive sources in Indonesia, including nuclear fuel, nuclear waste, and radioactive minerals, has significantly increased to support research, industry, and healthcare services. This usage necessitates an evaluation of environmental impacts, particularly the increase in background radiation in the context of radioecology. Radionuclides like cesium, which are highly soluble in water, can be released into marine waters through leaks from nuclear power plants, radioactive waste, and military weapons tests, potentially harming marine ecosystems and the food chain. Therefore, periodic monitoring of underwater radiation exposure is crucial. This study aims to develop a gamma-ray radiation dose monitoring system underwater using a wireless Geiger-muller counter and LabVIEW-based interface. The system comprises a Geiger-muller counter for measuring radiation doses, an nRF24l01+ module for data transmission, and a LabVIEW application as the display panel. Testing was conducted by submerging a radioactive cesium source into a water tank with varying distances and depths. Radiation data were measured by the Geiger-muller counter, transmitted via the nRF24l01+ to the receiver, processed by Arduino Uno, and displayed in LabVIEW. The LabVIEW application also provides alerts if the dose exceeds the threshold and records the dose values. Test results showed the lowest measurement success rate of 17% at position 7 and the highest of 30% at position 1.

Abstract

Kinematika adalah cabang ilmu fisika yang fokus pada pemahaman gerakan benda, tanpa mempertimbangkan gaya yang berpengaruh padanya. Hal ini sering menjadi materi yang rumit bagi siswa di tingkat SMA, karena memerlukan pemahaman tentang konsep-konsep seperti kecepatan, percepatan, waktu, jarak, dan hubungan antara mereka. Universitas Andalas memiliki Program Studi S1 Fisika di bawah Departemen Fisika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Setiap semster Departemen Fisika selalu mengadakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sesuai dengan salah satu Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Salah satu pengabdian yang rutin dilakukan Departemen Fisika setiap semester adalah membina SMA di lingkungan Sumatera Barat. Pengabdian tentang pengayaan konsep kinematika di SMA dapat menjadi salah satu upaya yang sangat penting untuk membantu siswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam memahami konsep kinematika.  Pengabdian ini melibatkan mitra SMA N 1 Gunung Talang yang berada di Kabupaten Solok, Provinsi Sumatera Barat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang Konsep Kinematika di SMAN 1 Gunung Talang. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, kegiatan inti yaitu penyampaian materi dan evaluasi proses pengabdian. Hasil menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang materi kinematika berdasarkan pembandingan hasil pre-test dan post test yaitu sebesar 33,3 %.

Abstract

This activity aimed to educate students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan, on stunting prevention, particularly regarding balanced nutrition, the dangers of cigarette smoke, and anemia in adolescent girls. The methods employed included interactive presentations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and interactive quizzes to motivate and assess participants' understanding. The activity was conducted on October 16, 2024, involving 30 12th-grade students. The main stages of the activity consisted of three sessions: delivering material, group discussions facilitated by mentors, and quizzes to evaluate comprehension. Additionally, iron supplement tablets were distributed to adolescent girls as a preventive measure against anemia. Monitoring was conducted to observe changes in students' understanding and behavior before and after the activity. The results indicated a significant increase in students' understanding of stunting, including its risk factors and long-term impacts on children's futures. Before the socialization, students had limited knowledge, particularly about the relationship between diet, smoking habits, and anemia with stunting risks. After the activity, they gained a better understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and early prevention efforts. Other findings revealed irregular breakfast habits and high smoking rates among male adolescents. In conclusion, this activity successfully raised students' awareness of stunting prevention. The participatory approach, through discussions and interactive quizzes, effectively created a learning atmosphere that was both enjoyable and informative. The expected impact is to serve as an initial step toward behavioral changes that support the sustainable health of the younger generation.

Abstract

Pipe leaks in household PDAM systems often lead to water wastage and increased bills. This research develops a measurement and analysis system for water flow in household PDAM pipe leaks based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to address this issue. The system uses water flow sensors YF-S201 connected to a NodeMCU ESP8266 to measure water flow rates. It monitors two pipe branch areas, with each branch equipped with a water flow sensor at both the inlet and outlet points. The NodeMCU ESP8266 compares the incoming and outgoing water flow rates for each branch. If the flow rates are identical between the two sensors, the pipe is deemed safe; however, any discrepancy between the flow rates indicates a potential leak. The system can identify the area and severity of the leak based on the flow rate difference and calculate the water usage cost. Data collection is performed in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with six trials at each measurement time. The trials are conducted at 5-minute intervals to measure water volume and flow rate. Testing results show an average error percentage of 2.2% compared to a measuring cup, with system accuracy reaching 97.8%. Measurement data is displayed on an LCD and sent to the Blynk app via smartphone for remote monitoring.
