Abstract

Assessment is a critical component to determine the achievement of the learning process that has been applied to students. Assessment is carried out using various methods and tools prepared by educators. During the Covid-19 situation, schools need to change their learning mode to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This research article aims to describe students’ perception of Office 365 as a medium in students' online assessment of learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu using a quantitative approach to survey research design. The population of this study was 300 students. Using a significance level of 5%, a sample size of 161 students was obtained. A simple random sampling technique took samples. The results showed that the respondents gave positive responses, scoring 72.44% in the excellent category. Assessments using Office 365 are carried out objectively and according to actual data and facts because the results can be known in real-time. This study concludes that students perceived that Office 365 is effective in online learning outcomes assessment. However, it is necessary to find other alternatives that are more able to maintain the essence of the evaluation so that the principles of assessment are more applied, and the task of educators in carrying out the supervisory function is wide open.

Abstract

Peran orang tua sangatlah dibutuhkan anak dalam hal pendidikan termasuk dalam pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an. Sebagaimana ungkapan Suyadi, seberapa cepat dan sejauh mana keberhasilan otak seorang anak, belajar membaca sangat dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan bahasa lisan yang sebagian besar diperoleh dari rumah sangat menentukan kemampuan membaca anak di sekolah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilakukan secara integrative dengan adanya kegiatan PKN Mahasiswa IIM Surakarta di Desa jatirejo pada tahun 2023 Hasil pengabdiang bahwasannya: 1) Peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an melalui metode Iqra’ telah dilakukan dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan orang tua yang telah terlibat dalam membantu anak belajar membaca Al-Qur’an dengan menyediakan fasilitas berupa buku Iqra. membaca Al-Qur’an anak. 2) Peran orang tua sebagai motivator dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an melalui metode Iqra’ sudah berjalan baik. Peran motivator yang dilakukan orang tua untuk memotivasi anak dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an melalui metode Iqra’ adalah dengan mempersiapkan anak ketika masuk waktu asar, selalu mengingatkan anaknya untuk berangkat ke TPQ. 3) Peran orang tua sebagai pembimbing dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an melalui metode Iqra’ kurang berjalan dengan baik. Bimbingan membaca Al-Qur’an saat di rumah tidak diulang kembali oleh dua belah pihak yaitu ayah dan ibu, sehingga peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan anak membaca Al-Qur'an masih rendah atau kurang maksimal.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan upaya mencegah tumbuhnya karakter yang kurang baik bagi generasi muda, khususnya melalui pengenalan nilai-nilai budaya berkearifan lokal. Nilai-nilai karakter yang harus ditanamkan pada peserta didik di era perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat saat ini yaitu dengan memberikan pendidikan karakter yang meliputi pengetahuan, kesadaran dan tindakan untuk diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk memberikan penguatan Pendidikan karakter siswa SMA N 1 Karanganyar melalui peran walisongo dalam kearifan lokal dan budaya nusantara. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah partisipastif peserta didik. Dari hasil diskusi selama pengabdian, masih banyak peserta didik yang memahami kearifan lokal/kebudayaan yang ada disekitarnya. Hal ini terlihat dari peserta didik yang mampu menjelaskan, mendiskusikan, dan merefleksikan materi dengan kehidupan sehari-harinya. Pendidikan karakter yang dikuatkan atau dikembangkan oleh tim pengabdi adalah karakter yang bersumber dari olah pikir antara lain cerdas, kritis, ingin tahu, dan reflektif tentang kebudayaan yang dekat dengan peserta didik.

Abstract

Dengan diterapkannya sistem pemilihan serentak yang mencakup Presiden, Wakil Presiden, anggota DPR, DPD, dan DPRD di Indonesia, maka peran KPPS menjadi sangat penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan pesta demokrasi. Kinerja setiap anggota KPPS perlu ditinjau secara terus menerus agar dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik. Dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, KPPS perlu memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai tugas, wewenang dan kewajiban petugas KPPS. Oleh karena itu, bimbingan teknis yang dilaksanakan pada Minggu, 28 Januari 2024 di Padanan, Wonosari, Klaten sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kinerja KPPS. Dengan adanya bimbingan teknis, petugas KPPS lebih memahami dalam menjalankan tugasnya dan menyelesaikan permasalahan pada saat pemilu.

Abstract

The impact of Covid-19 requires the teaching and learning system at home, so the term Distance Learning (PJJ) appears. This study aims to determine how to prepare Vocational High School's teachers in implementing PJJ. Trying to reveal data and conditions in the field about teachers' understanding of PJJ, how to implement PJJ, as well as supporting factors and obstacles during the learning process. The research method used a qualitative approach. The researchers used purposive sampling, the sample is selected according to what the researchers want, so that the sample represents the desired characteristics. The data collection instruments that be used were questionnaires and interviews. From observations and interviews, SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu is ready to apply PJJ. This can be seen from schools that provide internet funds every month, providing computer laboratories for students who do not yet have adequate technological facilities. The school also keeps in touch with parents regarding student progress during the PJJ. Teachers who innovate and conducted IT training to improve the ability to use technology online. In addition to the readiness of facilities and services provided by schools to students, school faces challenges in implementing practical learning. The implementation of blended learning that has been applied has not been able to have a significant impact on improving student skills. With good readiness and challenges that still have to be faced, it is necessary to conduct a thorough evaluation as to whether PJJ is indeed effectively implemented at the vocational high school level.

Abstract

This study was conducted to explore the application of differentiation learning strategies and inclusive approaches for students with special needs in Elementary Schools. This study is motivated by the importance of creating a friendly learning environment and supporting the development of students with special needs so that they can develop according to their potential. The research method used is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, where data was obtained through in-depth interviews with three key informants, namely educators and inclusive program managers at schools. The data collected were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of implementation of differentiation learning strategies and implementation of inclusive policies. The results of the study indicate that (1) Teachers have implemented differentiation learning strategies optimally, learning methods and materials are adjusted to the needs and competencies of students with special needs; (2) Special programs; Maintenance Class and Inclusive Learning are applied to provide additional support for students, including the use of special aids and accompanying teachers; (3) The humanist philosophy approach is also the basis for creating an inclusive learning environment, which is demonstrated through respect for individual uniqueness and student character development. Evaluation of this approach is carried out periodically to ensure its suitability to student needs. In addition, collaboration with parents and the community is considered very important in supporting the implementation of inclusive programs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how the collaboration of stakeholders can realize SMK Muhammadiyah as a Center of Excellence based on Muhammadiyah values. The study subjects included principals, teachers, education personnel, students, parents, and business and industry (DUDI) partners, who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. Triangulation was applied to ensure data credibility. The findings show that effective stakeholder synergy plays an important role in optimizing curriculum relevance, improving teaching quality, and enhancing students' employability. Strong industry partnerships contribute to the development of students' practical skills through internships and work-based learning. In addition, Muhammadiyah values, such as hard work (al-jihad fi sabilillah), independence (al-istiqlal), and social concern (at-ta'awun), are integrated into the curriculum, fostering character development in addition to technical competence. This study provides an important contribution theoretically by showing that vocational education is not only oriented to the development of technical skills but also to the formation of Islamic character. Practically, the results of this study can be a model for strengthening partnerships between schools and industries through project-based learning and value integration. This study highlights the importance of involving various stakeholders in vocational education reform, providing insights for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to advance vocational education strategies that are in line with industry demands and character-based education.

Abstract

This service aims to describe the effectiveness of guest lectures based on experience sharing in bridging the gap between theory and practice in the Education Administration course in the Islamic Education Study Program (PAI). The method used is descriptive-qualitative with a participatory approach cici4d. The activity was carried out online by presenting the Professor of Educational Administration as the main speaker and involving 158 fifth-semester students. The learning process included presentations, case studies, interactive discussions, and reflections. The results showed that this guest lecture activity succeeded in creating an interactive, dialogical, and reflective learning atmosphere. Students gained a more concrete understanding of the implementation of Islamic education administration in the field, as well as fostering critical thinking skills and awareness of cici4d spiritual values such as honesty and blessings in educational leadership. In addition, this activity strengthens the synergy between the academic and professional worlds and opens up opportunities for strategic collaboration. In conclusion, guest lectures based on experience sharing proved to be an effective learning strategy in improving the academic and practical competencies of PAI students. This model can be used as a strategic innovation to be applied to other courses that require managerial and contextual understanding based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Literacy activities, especially reading, are still not yet part of the culture in the Pakel Village community, Andong District, Boyolali Regency. It is necessary to build productive and effective habits to improve this starting from childhood. The school environment at the elementary education level, namely Raudhatul Atfhal and Kindergarten, is one way to cultivate literacy through the reading corner program. Through community service activities, it is hoped that schools will be able to increase literacy rates from an early age in a fun way. In addition, schools are able to manage Human Resources, Infrastructure, the environment and funding to manage the reading corner optimally and professionally. Management of the reading corner is a short activity through training, programmed and sustainable by means of mentoring the management of the reading corner by Field Lecturers and students. The main findings of this program include three aspects of social transformation. First, from an institutional perspective, the Village Literacy Committee was formed as a new institution that manages the sustainability of the program. Second, from a behavioral perspective, there was an increase in the frequency of children's reading and changes in parenting patterns in accompanying literacy activities. Third, from a leadership perspective, five local champions emerged from among teachers and housewives.
