Abstract

The development of organic farming is one of the efforts to realize a sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural system. However, the success of its development is greatly influenced by the level of farmer knowledge and the potential of the organic fertilizer market. This study aims to analyze the knowledge of rice farmers regarding organic fertilizer and how the market potential supports the development of organic farming in Mootilango District. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with 12 informants, consisting of 10 rice farmers, 1 farmer shop owner, and 1 organic fertilizer producer. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, field observations and documentation, then analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis show that the IFAS value is 3.29 which indicates strong internal conditions, while the EFAS value is 3.58. The position of organic farming development is in Quadrant I, which indicates an aggressive strategy. Therefore, the recommended strategy is the SO strategy of optimizing farmer understanding through technological development, organic fertilizer promotion, increasing public awareness; (2) the WO strategy of strengthening the distribution of organic fertilizer, increasing farmer knowledge, increasing farmer skills;ST Strategy Price competitiveness, Organic selling value, Increasing the application of organic fertilizer; WT Strategy Anticipating negative perceptions about organic fertilizerThis strategy is expected to support increased use of organic fertilizers and encourage the development of organic farming in Mootilango District in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pengalaman kerja merupakan tingkat penguasaan pengetahuan dan keterampilan seseorang dalam bekerja, yang dapat diukur dari lamanya bekerja dan tingkat pengetahuan serta keterampilannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) pendapatan total nelayan di Danau Limboto Gorntalo, 2) pengaruh modal kerja, lama melaut, pengalaman kerja, harga dan jumlah hasil tangkapan terhadap pendapatan nelayan di Danau Limboto Gorontalo. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga bulan terhitung dari bulan September sampai dengan bulan November 2023, dengan menggunakan rumus slovin jumlah sampel yang akan dijadikan responden dalam penelitian ini dengan tingkat presisi 10%, sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 38 responden nelayan. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah: modal kerja, lama melaut, pengalaman kerja, harga dan hasil tangkapan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk tujuan pertama dengan menggunakan rumus pendapatan. Teknik analisis dan untuk tujuan kedua menggunakan teknik analisis linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total pendapatan yang diperoleh nelayan tangkap di Danau Limboto perbulan yang diperoleh dari 38 responden rata-rata sebesar Rp 50.738.849.

Abstract

Biochar application has been evaluated for various types of soil including sand, sandy loam, and clay loam such as soil conditions in Gorontalo Province. This community service aims to provide information related to the benefits of corn cob waste and increase the knowledge and insight of the Ulapato B Village community regarding the manufacture of biochar as a soil conditioner. This community service consists of several activities, namely counseling, direct practice related to the manufacture of biochar, assistance to the community, and monitoring and evaluation. Based on the results of the counseling that has been carried out, it has been able to increase the knowledge and insight of the Ulapato B community regarding the manufacture of biochar using corn cob waste as a raw material. In addition, this activity also increases the community's understanding of the benefits of corn cob waste which they initially only considered as goods that had no ecological information value. Judging from the evaluation stage that was carried out, the responses of the community service participants were positive for each material presented. The material for the stages of making biochar from corn cobs produced the highest percentage, reaching 87.5% and the lowest for the material on Data interpretation related to land area, corn production and the amount of cob waste per year of corn production specifically for data in Gorontalo Province and Indonesia in general, with a percentage of only 15%. This means that community service participants are more interested in direct demonstrations compared to data-based materials.
