Abstract

Information technology can be a link between one person and many people which allows information to be conveyed quickly. Social media is one way that information can be conveyed to the public by providing benefits that can attract many groups, parents, children, teenagers, entrepreneurs, educators, workers, etc. With social media, the information that you want to spread to advance a business from a potential community in rural areas, especially in Mekarjaya Village, is still felt to be underused because one of the factors is that most of the users of social media are young people, while in Mekarjaya Village, most of the farmers are people who already old age. The total population of the country of Indonesia is 256.4 million people, as many as 130 million people or around 49 percent of them are active users of social media. Social media-based information technology seminars for the people of Mekarjaya village to be able to develop village potential products and provide economic benefits for the community and expand their reach to areas in need. This seminar is summarized in the Community Service Activities (PkM) program organized by Kuningan University by involving lecturers and students as a form of community service to improve society's quality.

Abstract

Bagi wanita, olahraga sepakbola adalah olahraga yang menguji fisik dan psikologis selama kompetisi karena perubahan penerapan tindakan taktik menyerang dan bertahan. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengedukasi peraturan permainan sepakbola wanita agar wanita dapat bertanding dengan baik dan terhindar dari pelanggaran. Sosialisasi dan kompetisi dilakukan sebagai metode pengabdian. 50 pemain sepakbola dari klub Putri Surakarta berpartisipasi sebagai mitra pengabdian ini. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menguji pengetahuan mitra terkait peraturan permainan sepakbola. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket pernyataan dengan 40 pernyataan terkait peraturan permainan sepakbola wanita. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebelum diberikan materi tentang peraturan permainan sepakbola, mitra hanya mampu menjawab benar sebanyak 48.10 % sedangkan 51.90 % menjawab pertanyaan dengan salah. Setelah diberikan materi, pengetahuan mitra mengalami peningkatan sebesar 23 % sehingga 71.10 % telah menjawab dengan jawaban benar dan hanya 28.90 % yang masih menjawab salah. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini adalah pengetahuan mitra pengabdian tentang peraturan permainan sepakbola telah mengalami peningkatan

Abstract

Pemain sepakbola membutuhkan kinerja otot yang dinamis selama pertandingan untuk menunjang performa kecepatan dan power. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada pelatih mengenai very heavy sled training dan elastic band training untuk meningkatkan kecepatan lari dan power otot tungkai atlet sehingga pelatih dapat menerapkan training tersebut dalam program latihannya. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan sosialisasi dan pendampingan. Mitra pengabdian adalah pelatih sepakbola, berjumlah 35 pelatih. Evaluasi dilakukan pada pengetahuan terkait very heavy sled training dan elastic band training. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan sebelum edukasi, pengetahuan pelatih hanya 26.61%. Setelah edukasi, pengetahuan pelatih mengalami peningkatan menjadi 73.39%. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini adalah pelatih kota Surakarta memiliki pengetahuan terkait very heavy sled training dan elastic band training sehingga dapat menerapkan training tersebut dalam program latihan lari dan power otot tungkai.

Abstract

Dengue fever is one of the most common infectious diseases in Indonesia. However, information regarding its prevention and treatment remains fragmented, with limited accessibility and availability. This study developed a chatbot integrating the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm to answer various questions about dengue fever, including its symptoms, prevention, and treatment. The dataset used consists of questions and answers related to dengue fever, sourced from both primary and secondary data. The data undergoes a series of preprocessing steps before being used for model development, training, and evaluation. The test results indicate that the developed model achieved an accuracy of 100% during validation with a loss function value of 0.0221. These findings demonstrate that the LSTM-based chatbot can provide accurate and relevant responses, making it an effective tool for educating the public in an interactive and efficient manner. This implementation is expected to offer an innovative solution for increasing public awareness of dengue fever prevention and management.

Abstract

 This community service program aims to empower adolescents  in Kedungarum Village by implementing brainstorming techniques to enhance their English reading skills. The training is designed to improve reading and comprehension of English texts through interactive and collaborative approaches. The methods used include material presentations, group discussions, and practical reading exercises utilizing brainstorming techniques. In this program, participants are actively engaged in identifying main ideas and supporting details in texts and developing critical understanding through group discussions. The results of this activity show a significant increase in active participation and understanding of the content, as well as in the participant's ability to generate creative ideas. Post-training evaluations indicate that the youths who participated in this program experienced significant improvements in reading skills and interest in the English language. These findings suggest that brainstorming techniques can be an effective method for enhancing English literacy among young people.  AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan remaja di Desa Kedungarum melalui penerapan teknik brainstorming guna meningkatkan kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan pemahaman teks bahasa Inggris secara interaktif dan kolaboratif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi kelompok, dan latihan praktik membaca menggunakan teknik brainstorming. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta diajak untuk secara aktif mengidentifikasi ide-ide utama dan detail pendukung dalam teks, serta mengembangkan pemahaman kritis melalui diskusi kelompok. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam partisipasi aktif dan pemahaman peserta terhadap isi teks, serta kemampuan mereka dalam mengembangkan ide-ide kreatif. Evaluasi pasca-pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa para remaja yang mengikuti kegiatan ini mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca dan ketertarikan terhadap bahasa Inggris. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik brainstorming dapat menjadi metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi bahasa Inggris di kalangan remaja.

Abstract

Reading comprehension remains a challenge for many English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students, particularly in engaging with and understanding texts effectively. Traditional teaching methods often fail to encourage active participation and critical thinking, resulting in low motivation and limited comprehension skills. To address this gap, this study investigates the implementation of visualizing strategies to enhance reading comprehension skills among English Education students at Universitas Kuningan. Visualizing strategies encourage students to create mental images of the text, fostering deeper engagement and understanding of the material. The research employed a qualitative approach within a collaborative action research (CAR) framework, involving 14 students as participants. Data collection methods included classroom observations, student reflections, and pre-and post-test assessments of reading comprehension. The findings indicate that integrating visualizing strategies into reading instruction significantly improved students' comprehension of folktale texts. Students demonstrated enhanced abilities to identify main ideas, draw cultural connections, and confidently articulate their understanding through discussions and retelling activities. The pre-test average score of 59.4 increased to 85.7 in the post-test, with all students exceeding the Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC) of 75. Participants also reported increased motivation and enjoyment, attributing their progress to the strategy's interactive and engaging nature. This study recommends a broader application of visualizing strategies in English language education to support comprehension and engagement across diverse text genres. Further research is suggested to explore its adaptability and impact in different educational contexts..

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify factors that have a relationship with Peat Protected Forest encroachment Bram Itam River. This research was conducted in the village of Bram Bram Itam Itam Kanan District of West Tanjung Jabung Jambi Province. Data collection techniques used is a snowball sampling technique and obtained a sample of 30 farmers encroachers as respondents were then statistically analyzed the data using a dummy variable multiple linear regression. The results showed that the results of the regression analysis obtained a real relationship between the area of arable land in the protected forest area of peat with variable access to forests, legal sanctions and selling land. While the acreage with the permission of the village there is no real relationship. Factors that have a relationship with the encroachment of protected forest areas of peat River in the village of Bram is access to the forest is a factor, the factor of implementation of the sanctions law and land selling factor.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan teknis siswa dalam mengonfigurasi perangkat jaringan, khususnya Mikrotik, menjadi salah satu kendala utama dalam peningkatan mutu lulusan SMK di bidang Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ). Permasalahan ini diperparah dengan terbatasnya pengalaman praktik secara langsung dan minimnya pemahaman terhadap standar industri seperti sertifikasi dari Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP). Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa melalui pelatihan intensif berbasis praktik langsung, penyusunan modul pelatihan berbasis standar industri, serta simulasi Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK). Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tahapan pengenalan perangkat Mikrotik, praktik konfigurasi topologi jaringan, dan manajemen bandwidth dengan pendampingan dosen dan mahasiswa. Modul pelatihan dirancang sesuai dengan tingkat pemahaman siswa dan dilengkapi dengan latihan berbasis studi kasus nyata. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan teknis siswa, terbentuknya portofolio keterampilan dasar, serta meningkatnya kesiapan menghadapi UKK. Selain peningkatan pada peserta didik, kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas pendidik dan pemanfaatan fasilitas pembelajaran secara optimal. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model berkelanjutan dalam penguatan SDM muda di bidang teknologi jaringan komputer secara aplikatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Kata kunci : Jaringan Komputer, Mikrotik, Cisco, Pelatihan Vokasi, SDM Muda, TIK

Abstract

Gadgets are one of the most widely used technological products at the moment along with the development of the internet. Gadgets are not only used by adults but children and even toddlers have used them. This is due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rapid development of information and technology. Gadgets and the internet as technology products have positive and negative sides. The use of gadgets by children without supervision and regulation from their parents tends to have more negative impacts on children, both in terms of physical and mental health. Weak supervision and regulation of gadget use is present due to a lack of insight into the knowledge and competence of parents regarding parental control. Nangka Village, which is one of the villages in Kadugede District, Kuningan Regency, is one of the villages where most of the residents are familiar with and use technology. Parental control is something that is not widely known and understood so there are indications of the negative effects of gadgets on children. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion activities, it was found that there was a need for socialization and training on parenting control for parents in Nangka village
