Abstract

The era revolution 4.0 is an era of digitalization especially in education. Exercise that was initially conventionally using paper does not always provide opportunities high interest students because students are bored using paper. One of innovations is developing a chemistry ludo game as an alternative exercise model. The goal is develop and determine the level validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This type is the Plomp model Educational Design Research with 3 stages, namely initial, prototype, and assessment stage. The research instruments are questionnaires and test instruments. Validity data were analyzed using Aiken`s V and all validation aspects were above 0.80 so the results of content, construction and media validation showed a valid category, practicality data were analyzed using percentage formula with a result of 90% in practical category, and effectiveness using N-Gain with the results experimental class of 0.79 high criteria, while the control class only 0.47 moderate criteria. Hypothesis namely the tcount 7.84527 and ttable of 0.05 obtained 1.668 so the learning outcomes of the experimental class higher. So, the ludo game is valid, practical, and effective. So that this media can be used for educators as an alternative to providing exercise using fun technology for students.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is an innovation introduced by the Ministry of Education, Indonesia, under regulation No. 56/M/2022. This curriculum concentrates on the core subjects while giving special attention to character development and flexible learning that is adjusted to meet the requirements of individual pupils. One of the chemistry topics in the Independent Phase F Curriculum is salt hydrolysis. The purpose was to determine the level of validation of the PBL-based salt hydrolysis e-module using the TaRL approach. This research employs the Plomp model as part of the educational design research (EDR) framework, encompassing the stages of preliminary research, prototyping, and evaluation, but is limited to Prototype III. This study used five validators to evaluate the module based on language, presentation, content, graphics, and media components using a validation questionnaire.  The results obtained from this study are PBL-based salt hydrolysis e-modules with a valid TaRL approach, with a validation value of the content component of 0.92, presentation of 0.91, language of 0.97, graphics of 0.95, and media average of 0.90.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islamic values in the business model of educational startup in Indonesia and how these values contribute to the sustainability and competitive position of these businesses in a highly competitive market. The issue addressed was the challenge faced by educational startup in balancing profit with social impact while adhering to Islamic principles, such as justice, transparency, and community benefit. The research positions itself as an exploration of how Islamic values can strengthen the business model of educational startup, making them not only financially viable but also socially responsible. The question was discussed by analyzing the operational and strategic implications of applying Islamic ethics in the education sector, with a focus on inclusivity, fairness, and sustainable business practices. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the paper reviews relevant literature on Islamic business ethics and its application in educational startup. The findings indicate that integrating Islamic values enhances trust, customer loyalty, and long-term sustainability, while offering a unique competitive advantage in the market. The research concludes that adopting Islamic principles in business models offers a viable path for educational startup to create a positive social impact while ensuring business success in the evolving educational landscape.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease cases increase due to consumption cholesterol dietary habit. It is well-known that squalence synthase (SQS) is the first committed enzyme for cholesterol synthesis. Therefore, SQS become target of anti-cholesterol. This paper aims to determine the potential binding pocket of SQS (PDB ID: 1EZF). Dogsitescorer, siteFinder, and DEPTH were used for binding pocket prediction and MOE 2009.10 was performed for molecular docking. We found that there are five out of 37 pockets which have druggability score above 0.8. Pocket_5 is the highest drugability and favorable for hydrophobic interaction, yet lower number of hydrogen bond with the ligand. However, Pocket_2, and Pocket_3 are suitable for hydrogen bond formation of ligand-protein. Molecular docking study showed that TAK-475, D99, and Cynarin inhibitors were embedded on the P_2 and P_3 of SQS, showing that P2_and P3 are promising binding pocket for ligand interactions. These results show a promising alternative to design anti-cholesterol using these potential pocket in silico.

Abstract

Nagari Paninjauan, located on the slopes of Mount Marapi in West Sumatra, faces significant agricultural challenges, particularly due to rising chemical fertilizer costs, which affect productivity and farmers' welfare. High dependency on chemical fertilizers has also harmed soil health and the environment. To address this, a community service team from UNP held a training on producing organic liquid fertilizer (POC) tailored for various plant growth stages, such as soil enhancement, vegetative, and generative phases, as well as making organic growth regulators, fungicides, and insecticides. The training included material presentation, hands-on practice, and application in farming fields. Results showed participants’ understanding of POC production rose from 43.8% to 86.7%, and awareness of agricultural waste’s economic value also improved. Although the training effectively increased farmers' skills in independently producing POC, further strategies are needed to enhance understanding of technical materials for greater environmental and economic impact.
