Abstract

Physical education plays a strategic role in shaping the character, health, and social skills of students. In the context of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, physical education not only functions as a physical activity but also as a means of developing the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, such as mutual cooperation, independence, and integrity. This article is a systematic literature review that aims to analyze the integration of physical education in the Merdeka Curriculum through a holistic approach. This study examines various national and international publications that discuss the relationship between physical education, character development, and curriculum innovation. The results of the review show that the application of a holistic approach in physical education can strengthen the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions of students in a balanced manner. In addition, physical education designed in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum has the potential to increase learning motivation, awareness of healthy living, and collaboration among students. However, challenges are still found in the aspects of teacher competence, facilities, and authentic assessment. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between curriculum policy, pedagogical innovation, and teacher training to achieve physical education goals that are in line with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

The present study investigates the implementation of the traditional game Bentengan in physical education learning and its influence on students’ cooperative skills. The research applied a quantitative descriptive approach involving 24 twelfth-grade students of SMAN 2 Tanjung Jabung Barat selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a cooperation questionnaire and an observation sheet covering five main indicators: active participation, communication, group responsibility, mutual respect, and mutual assistance. The data were analyzed descriptively using percentage calculations and classified into four levels: very good, good, fair, and poor. The results showed that the integration of Bentengan effectively enhanced students’ cooperation in PJOK learning, as seen through their increased participation, communication, and responsibility within the group. Furthermore, traditional game–based learning fosters mutual cooperation, sportsmanship, and a more interactive and meaningful learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of tourist visits and the suboptimal development of the tourism-based economic sector in East Tanjung Jabung Regency. The presence of the Sumatra Cup Prix (SCP) sporting event at the Zabak National Circuit is seen as a potential sports tourism development strategy that can boost the regional economy and tourist appeal. This study aims to analyze the impact of the SCP on economic and tourism growth, identify post-event infrastructure management strategies, and analyze the development of supporting destinations around the circuit area. The research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and triangulation of data sources. Research informants included the SCP founder, the Tourism Office, MSMEs, accommodation managers, and the surrounding community. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, strengthened by NVivo analysis. The results show that the SCP has a positive impact on increasing MSME income, accommodation occupancy, tourist visits, and strengthening the image of East Tanjung Jabung Regency as a sports tourism destination. However, limited supporting infrastructure and the lack of tourist attractions around the circuit remain obstacles to realizing sustainable economic and tourism benefits for the region.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa laki-laki SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi dengan menggunakan Tes Kebugaran Pelajar Nusantara (TKPN). TKPN merupakan metode tes yang dirancang oleh Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga (KEMENPORA) yang mencakup pengukuran indeks massa tubuh, tes v sit and reach, tes sit up, tes squat thrust, dan tes PACER (Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel 40 siswa laki-laki yang dipilih menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan MoE 15% dari total populasi 426 siswa laki-laki. Data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung di lapangan pada Februari 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki status gizi baik (70%), dan tingkat kebugaran jasmani yang tergolong kategori "cukup" (55%), "baik" (30%), "baik sekali" (10%), dan "kurang" (5%). Pada komponen tes v sit and reach, mayoritas siswa berada pada kategori "cukup" (52,50%). Untuk tes sit up dan squat thrust, hasilnya sama dengan 47,50% siswa berada pada kategori "rendah" dan 47,50% pada kategori "cukup". Tes PACER menunjukkan 50% siswa berada pada kategori "cukup". Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kebugaran jasmani siswa laki-laki SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi secara umum berada pada tingkat cukup, dengan mayoritas siswa memiliki status gizi baik.
