Abstract

Generation Z currently dominates the student population in pre-service teacher education programs. Analyzing the differences in characteristics between Generation Z pre-service teachers and those from previous generations is crucial. In the ever-evolving digital era, Generation Z pre-service teachers need to possess strong digital literacy, deep pedagogical understanding, and adequate self-confidence to meet the demands of the digital age. This study aims to investigate the role of digital literacy and self-efficacy among pre-service teachers as mediators in their relationship with technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK). This research is quantitative in nature. Data were collected from 105 Generation Z pre-service teachers from various study programs across two different provinces in Indonesia. The instruments used to measure the variables included questionnaires on digital literacy, self-efficacy, and TPACK. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) was employed to analyze the structural relationships. The findings reveal that Generation Z pre-service teachers have a strong inclination towards digital literacy, which influences their pedagogical insights in implementing technology in teaching and learning processes. The development of pre-service teacher training programs is necessary to adapt to the needs of Generation Z and the rapid technological advancements in the future. A solid grasp of digital literacy and pedagogical insights can effectively prepare qualified educators

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the transformation of the Digital Marketing curriculum on students' creativity in e-commerce and their awareness of digital security and ethics at distance learning universities. Involving 89 respondents across Indonesia, this research employed a quantitative approach and linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between variables. The results indicate a significant positive influence between the transformation of the Digital Marketing curriculum and students' creativity, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.78 and p-value < 0.05. This suggests that improving the quality of the curriculum can stimulate students' creativity in developing innovative marketing strategies. The study also reveals that curriculum transformation incorporating interactive modules and project-based simulations enhances students' awareness of digital security practices and ethics, aligning with previous research by Jones and Jones (2022) and Nwankwo and Ayoade (2022). Integrating ethical and security aspects into course materials helps students understand the importance of data privacy and responsible behavior in digital environments. These findings emphasize the need for the continuous development of a comprehensive Digital Marketing curriculum that includes practical, ethical, and creative approaches. The practical implications of this research direct universities to enrich their course content with real-world case projects, cybersecurity training, and collaboration with industry professionals to provide deeper insights. The results of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for developing curricula that equip students not only with technical skills but also prepare them to become creative and responsible professionals in the digital era.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education plays a role in supporting the green economy by developing students who are innovative, independent, and socially responsible. These traits are essential for fostering sustainable business practices, innovation drives the creation of environmentally friendly solutions, independence drives proactive action in addressing environmental challenges, and social responsibility ensures appropriate decision-making with long term ecological impacts. This study examines the effect of a project-based learning model that integrates entrepreneurship and environmental desires on students' entrepreneurial character. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 400 high school students in East Java and analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS. The findings indicate that education significantly increases awareness of green economy principles and supports students' entrepreneurship. However, although entrepreneurial character is positively associated with students' entrepreneurship, the relationship is not statistically significant. Similarly, the green economy contributes to character development, although its direct impact on entrepreneurship is also insignificant. These results highlight the importance of instilling green economy principles in entrepreneurship education as a foundation for building a generation of entrepreneurs committed to innovation, independence, and environmental responsibility.
