Abstract

Employee engagement is needed to improve the performance of company resources to compete. Employees who feel engaged are one of the keys to the company's success. This study aims to analyze the role of employee engagement in mediating the work environment, leadership, motivation, job satisfaction, and training and development on employee performance. The population and sample of this study were employees of 5 commercial banks with the most assets in Batam City, Indonesia, namely BRI, Mandiri Bank, BCA, BNI, and BTN. The total number of respondents who were collected using the quota sampling method was 353 with a spread of 80 respondents from each bank. The data obtained from the distribution of the questionnaires were processed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square). In the results of the study, employee engagement and work environment have a positive significant effect on employee performance and employee engagement successfully mediates the relationship between work environment and employee performance, while training and development, leadership and job satisfaction have no effect on employee performance but are significantly positive when mediated through employee engagement. Motivation variable has no direct or indirect effect on employee performance. The limitations of this study are that the research sample has not been able to represent the population as a whole and the distribution of the questionnaire only uses 1 alternative.

Abstract

Abstrak Sebagai perusahaan manufaktur, PT XYZ merancang rangkaian rantai pasok untuk menjalankan usahanya serta bersaing dengan industri manufaktur lainnya. Warehouse menjadi satu bagian terpenting dalam rantai pasok, terutama bagi perusahaan yang melakukan produksi dalam jumlah besar. Penulisan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenai isu yang terjadi pada warehouse serta cara PT. XYZ dalam menangani isu tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kota Batam dengan metode kualitatif dan PT. XYZ berperan sebagai objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pada warehouse PT. XYZ teridentifikasi permasalahan seperti pengendalian material, kerusakan material saat pemindahan material, serta material yang telah expired. PT. XYZ melakukan berbagai cara penanganan atas isu-isu tersebut seperti penggunaan sistem untuk mempermudah pengendalian stok, penggunaan peralatan dalam pemindahan stok untuk meminimalisir kerusakan yang terjadi, serta pelaksanaan test run atas material dianggap telah melewati masa berlaku untuk meminimalisir kerugian atas penumpukan scrap material. Kata Kunci: Jaringan Rantai Pasok, Manufaktur, Material Abstract As a manufacturing company, PT XYZ designed a series of supply chains to run its business and compete with other manufacturing industries. Warehouse is an important part of the supply chain, especially for companies that produce in large quantities. This research aims to address the issues that occur in the warehouse and how PT. XYZ handling the issue. The research was conducted in Batam City with qualitative methods and PT. XYZ acts as a the subject. The results of the study concluded that the PT. XYZ identified problems such as material control, material damage during material transfer, and material that has expired. PT. XYZ takes various ways of handling these issues such as using a system to facilitate stock control, using equipment in stock transfers to minimize damage that occurs, and carrying out test runs on materials deemed to have passed their validity period to minimize losses from accumulation of scrap material. Abstract

Environmental factors primarily influence the degree of public health. However, what is happening in today's society in improving the degree of health is even higher in health services. Many people receive curative treatment in health facilities but pay little attention to personal and environmental hygiene. The problems in Nagari Paninggahan are the need for more knowledge and awareness of the Paninggahan community in waste management, non-communicable diseases, rational use of drugs, and personal hygiene. This activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness to improve the health status of the Paninggahan community. This activity was carried out using health promotion methods and practices and through leaflets. The results were that people could use used goods to make new, more valuable goods, understand that diseases such as hypertension must be appropriately handled with routine checks, know how to use the right medicines and practice proper hand washing to avoid various diseases. This activity hopes to increase public knowledge and awareness to avoid disease and improve the health status of the Paninggahan community.

Abstract

Introduction. Dysbiosis microbiota is considered as one of the consequences and impacts of high uremic toxins in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), which can lead to an increased risk of progression and mortality. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to perform quantitative effect of microbiota modulation for estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR), uremic toxin (total-p cresyl/total pCS), and inflammatory marker (hs-CRP) outcome among CKD patients. Methods. Article searches were conducted from PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Cochrane Library data sources from 2010-2022. Assessment of article quality follows the rules of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items in Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis). Only randomized controlled trial (RCT) articles investigating the effect of symbiotic, prebiotic, of probiotic for CKD were included in the analysis. Effect size quantify from Standardized Mean Difference (SMD), using a continuous random effect model and described in the forest plot model. Results. A total of 17 RCT studies with a total 867 CKD stage 1-5 subjects (440 subjects in the intervention group and 427 subjects in the control group). The intervention duration ranging from 1-12 months. The studies included had varied on methodologies, with significant heterogenicity (I296,96%, p Conclusions. The administration of probiotic/prebiotic/symbiotic supplements to CKD patients resulted in significant improvements in e-GFR and reductions in total pCS. These results suggest the potential of symbiotic, prebiotic, and probiotic supplementation to improve CKD outcome. Keywords: Chronic kidney disease, e-GFR, hs-CRP, prebiotic, probiotic, uremic toxin

Abstract

Crimes related to cryptoassets that develop in a complex manner give rise to distinctive characteristics and require a convergence-based countermeasure that is not only responsive but also anticipatory and futuristic. This article is examined from normative juridical research with a case and conceptual approach and aims to study the characteristics of crimes related to cryptoassets and how to formulate convergence-based law enforcement policies in Indonesia. This crime has the characteristics of convergence between financial crimes and cybercrime, occurs in cyberspace and is carried out by actors who are described not only from cryptoasset transaction actors, but also third parties who provide services related to cryptoasset transactions. Law enforcement policies in tackling these crimes must have a convergence load with various technological innovations, including data storage and crime investigation using a blockchain system, including verification of cryptoassets using a chain of custody architecture and confiscation and confiscation of cryptoassets related to crime. The formation of convergence-based criminal policies cannot be separated from awareness and continuous efforts to develop the quality of human resources in digital literacy. This quality is not only described in the mastery of technology alone but also in ethical behavior. This digital ethics-based legal culture should not only be aimed at the general public as a norm target (norm address), but also for law enforcement officers (rechtshandhaving).

Abstract

Teknologi digital yang bermunculan setiap hari dan terintergrasi akan mempengaruhi hampir semua proses dan aktivitas bisnis, termasuk alur rantai pasokan. Di samping itu, perusahaan manufaktur dituntut untuk mampu memperhatikan lingkungan dengan menjaga keseimbangan alam dalam setiap kegiatannya. Alur manufaktur yang berbasis digitial dan terintegrasi serta ramah lingkungan dapat menciptakan keuntungan tersendiri bagi suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih mendalam terkait dengan topik digitalisasi, intergrasi rantai pasokan, dan juga rantai pasok ramah lingkungan dalam ruang lingkup manajemen rantai pasok sehingga dapat menambah pengetahuan di bidang terkait. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah SLR. Peneliti berhasil mengumpulkan 18 literatur dari berbagai sumber seperti: Google Schoolar, Emerald, Research gate, Academia.edu, dan sumber lainnya untuk dianalisis. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukan bahwa ketiga variabel yang kami teliti ternyata memberikan pengaruh terhadap keunggulan kompetitif perusahaan. Penelitian sebelumnya terlihat kurang memperhatikan berbagai aspek penting secara lebih lanjut dan memiliki keterbatasan dalam penggunaan teori, metode, dan juga pengumpulan sampel. Maka disarankan bagi penelitian berikutnya untuk menggunakan teori terbaru yang relevan serta dapat melakukan penyesuaian metode yang dipakai terhadap sampel yang dikumpulkan.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat return dan tingkat risk yang ditimbulkan dari investasi emas dan bitcoin sebelum dan saat adanya pandemi COVID-19. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah harga dari emas dan bitcoin pada periode Juli 2018 – Oktober 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis data sekunder. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan SPSS 20 untuk melakukan uji normalitas, uji paired t-test, dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ditemukannya perbedaan return emas sebelum dan saat COVID-19, adanya perbedaan risk emas sebelum dan saat COVID-19, tidak ditemukannya perbedaan return bitcoin sebelum dan saat COVID-19, tidak ditemukannya perbedaan risk bitcoin sebelum dan saat COVID-19.Kata kunci: return; risk; investasi; emas; bitcoin

Abstract

Pada tahun 2022 netflix kehilangan 970 ribu pelanggan yang disebabkan oleh ketatnya persaingan diantara bisnis layanan streaming. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh aktivitas social media communication dan brand passion terhadap purchase intention pada Netflix. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling dan ukuran sampel dalam penelitian ini 108 responden. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dalam bentuk google form yang disebar melalui media sosial. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Evaluasi Model Struktural (Inner Model). Hasil uji penelitian menunjukkan bahwa social media communication dan brand passion berpengaruh signifikan pada purchase intention brand Netflix. In 2022, Netflix lost 970,000 subscribers due to fierce competition among streaming service businesses. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effect of social media communication activities and brand passion on purchase intention on Netflix. The design used in this research is descriptive through a quantitative approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique and the sample size in this study was 108 respondents. Data was obtained using a questionnaire instrument in the form of a google form distributed via social media. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Model Evaluation (Inner Model). The results of the research test show that social media communication and brand passion have a significant effect on the purchase intention of the Netflix brand.

Abstract

Seni kontemporer hadir di dunia abad 21 yang digital dan informasional. Seni menduduki tempat dalam yang disebut oleh Han Byung-Chul sebagai masyarakat pencapaian atau achievement society dengan keindahan digital yang serba memuluskan persepsi, didominasi oleh pola-pola konsumsi, dan menjauh dari keindahan natural yang bersifat Ilahi. Dengan menggunakan gagasan tentang festival dan kontemplasinya sebagai asal seni, tulisan ini hendak mengelaborasi bagaimana seni dapat menyingkap persepsi baru dengan cara memisahkan eksistensi kerja dan cipta. Melalui studi literatur, tulisan ini mendapati bahwa seni dengan daya ciptanya mampu memulihkan kemanusiaan supaya kembali berserah dan memberi ruang kepada Tuhan. Seni memunculkan kesunyian yang merupakan medium dari keindahan natural, sehingga manusia menjadi kembali terhubung dengan pengadanya (being) sendiri. Dengan demikian, seni dapat membantu memaknai kehidupan spiritual kontemporer secara berarti.

Abstract

This research discusses Peer-to-Peer Lending  in Indonesia, with a particular focus on the customer protection. With the rapid digitalization of financial technology in Indonesia, P2P lending platforms gain popularity among the society. However, this raises the concern on how effective Indonesia's regulation is on supervising the industry and protecting its users. A  comprehensive  analysis on the current regulatory framework established by the Financial Security Authority (OJK) and Indonesian Fintech Lending Association (AFPI). Identifying the gaps and issues that are risking the protection of the customers.
