Abstract

The developmental phase of students in Primary School is a period where the desire for freedom emerges within their surroundings. A positive environment has a positive impact on student behavior, while a negative environment can encourage problematic behavior. Problematic behavior can lead to issues both for the students themselves and those around them. Teachers play a crucial role in addressing problematic behavior with a managerial approach, but the use of punishment tends to have negative consequences. Therefore, this study aims to describe students' problematic behavior and analyze the implementation of positive discipline at SD Negeri 02 Pecakaran. This research is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach, involving students from grades IV, V, and VI. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and checklist sheets. The results of this study indicate that problematic student behavior is identified in four situations, influenced by internal and external factors. The family environment is dominant as a trigger for problematic behavior. Positive discipline is considered an effective alternative solution. Through this approach, the school environment can build a culture that motivates students to behave positively without relying on negatively impactful punishments.

Abstract

The issue of plastic waste has become a critical concern in modern development. One definite step in addressing this is through recycling. This research investigates the implementation of instructional materials based on recycling in the subject of Visual Arts for fourth-grade students at MIS NU Al-Utsmani Kajen. It connects the concept of recycling with the use of discarded items within the context of art education. A qualitative field method was employed using data triangulation through interviews, observations, and documentation to analyze the supporting factors and obstacles in using these instructional materials. The findings indicate that this approach is effective in educating students about the importance of environmental conservation through steps such as project determination, planning, execution, presentation, and teacher feedback. Supporting factors include comprehensive information in the instructional materials, evaluation of learning materials, and the use of a combination of textbooks and Student Worksheets (LKS). On the other hand, inhibiting factors include the tendency towards monotonous instructional materials and the lack of visual and interactive resources to enrich student learning experiences.

Abstract

Abstract

Education in the 21st century requires teachers as educators to be more adaptive and innovative in developing critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative thinking skills. However, not all teachers are able to play such a role. Therefore, metasa researchers need to re-actualize literacy about learning strategies in the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to re-strengthen the actualization of the concept of learning strategies in responding to challenges in the 21st century. This research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR), this study analyzes various scientific sources related to learning strategies that are in accordance with the needs of modern education. The results of this study indicate that there are several learning strategies that can be actualized by teachers in responding to the challenges of education in the 21st century, including examining the definition of learning strategies in the contexy of 21st century education, identifying criteria for selecting relevant strategies, types of 21st century learning strategies, opportunities utilized in implementing learning strategies and challenges that need to be overcome by educators. These findings are expected to be a reference for educationin developing learning strategies that are in accordance with the demands of the times.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a crucial role in shaping the moral character of students at the elementary school level. However, learning methods used in IRE classrooms often remain conventional and teacher-centered, resulting in low student engagement and limited understanding of religious material. In response to the educational demands of the 21st century, a transformation in learning strategies is necessary. This study explores the implementation of active learning methods Card Sort, The Power of Two, and Snowballing as innovative approaches to revitalize IRE instruction. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were gathered through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and supporting documentation. The findings reveal that Card Sort enhances students’ ability to visually organize and connect religious concepts, The Power of Two facilitates deeper comprehension through peer discussion, and Snowballing promotes collaborative knowledge construction in stages. These methods contribute to a more interactive, student-centered, and meaningful learning process. Moreover, the integration of these strategies helps improve students' critical thinking, communication, and social-emotional skills while strengthening their internalization of Islamic values. Despite challenges such as instructional planning and classroom management, active learning techniques offer promising potential to transform IRE learning into a dynamic and participatory experience. The study provides practical recommendations for educators and school administrators to develop more effective and engaging IRE strategies.

Abstract

21st century education demands the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Inquiry learning strategies, which focus on students' active involvement in the exploration and investigation process, are one of the relevant approaches to address these challenges. This study aims to identify integration patterns and contributions of inquiry learning strategies to the development of 21st century skills that are trending research references and challenges in their implementation through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature was collected from scientific databases such as Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar, with a publication period between 2016–2024. The results of the analysis of 21 selected articles showed that inquiry strategies have integration patterns in guided inquiry, problem-based learning (PBL), and project-based learning (PjBL) learning models, contributing to developing analytical thinking patterns, freedom to explore, training teamwork, and fluent interaction. Inquiry is an adaptive strategy in various learning contexts, but systemic and technical obstacles are still found in its implementation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain PjBL: a learning model for instilling MI students' creative attitudes in science subjects. The type of research uses field studies or field research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation, which are then analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research explain that the implementation of PjBL in science subjects in class 4 consists of three stages, including the planning stage and the implementation stage, which includes: 1) Providing basic questions; 2) creating a project design; 3) preparing an activity schedule; 4) project implementation and monitoring; 5) assessment of project results; 6) evaluation of learning experience. And the evaluation stage. The embedded creativity attitudes include: 1) students' imaginations emerge when creating projects; 2) the greater the students' curiosity; 3) dare to take risks; 4) being easy to adapt to the surrounding environment; 5) increasing student independence; and 6) instilling patience and tenacity in students. Supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the implementation of PjBL come from the school, students, and parents.
