Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors associated with proactive behavior in the handover process in the intensive care unit of RSUD Aceh. The method used is a cross-sectional study. Data were analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression analysis with the Backward stepwise test. The results showed that 100 out of 124 respondents were in the category of strong proactive behavior. The results of the chi-square test showed that proactive personality (p-value 0.041), self-efficacy (p-value 0.002) and learning orientation (p-value 0.013) had a relationship with nurses' proactive attitude in carrying out handovers. The results of the logistic regression test showed that the most dominant factor related to the proactive behavior of nurses in carrying out handovers was self-efficacy, with a significance value of 0.020 and an odds ratio of 5.419. In conclusion, self-efficacy is the most significant factor related to the proactive behavior of nurses in the handover process in the intensive care unit of the Aceh General Hospital. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of nursing profession credential training on increasing nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in the surgical ward of the Aceh Government General Hospital. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-control group pretest-posttest. The number of samples was 46 respondents who were selected through the total sampling method. The results showed that there was an effect of nursing profession credential training on increasing knowledge (p-value 0.0001), attitude (p-value 0.0001) and behavior (p-value 0.0001) of nurses in the operating room of the Aceh Hospital. In conclusion, nursing profession credential training can improve nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in the surgical ward of the Aceh Government General Hospital. Abstract

This research aims to optimize the application of primary nursing care methods, which positively impact nursing care services for patients and nurses. This research method uses a case study approach with interviews, observations, document reviews, and surveys and uses fishbone analysis for problem analysis. The research results show that the implementation of primary nursing care methods in hospitals can be optimized by increasing human resources (all nursing staff) in terms of understanding and increasing knowledge, which is updated regularly, improving the organizing, monitoring, and evaluating functions of room heads and increasing the role of primary nurses as preceptors. In conclusion, increasing nursing human resources in understanding and expanding regularly updated knowledge can maximize the application of direct nursing care. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Early Warning Score (EWS) in hospitals. The method used is a case report including assessment, problem identification, problem analysis using fishbone, preparation of plan of action (PoA), implementation and evaluation. Data collection was carried out using interviews and field observations. The results showed that the hospital had implemented a system to prevent worsening to patients using a tool called Early Warning Score (EWS), but the application of EWS was still not optimal. The problem was solved using Kurt Lewin's planned change approach with the implementation carried out by making training, case discussions, quizzes and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of EWS in the hospital. In conclusion, increasing competence by providing training, discussions about EWS and conducting monitoring and evaluation can optimize the implementation of EWS in hospitals.
