Abstract

Evaluasi kondisi jembatan eksisting dilakukan sebagai acuan dalam perencanaan ulang suatu jembatan dalam hal ini jembatan kereta api jalur ganda pada sungai Way Seputih, kecamatan Seputih Agung, Lampung Tengah dengan beberapa kriteria yang harus terpenuhi diantaranya tinggi jagaan. Proses evaluasi diawali dengan analisis hidrologi menggunakan metode HSS Nakayasu untuk periode ulang 5,10, 25, 50 dan 100 tahun kemudian dilakukan analisis hidraulika menggunakan perangkat lunak HEC-RAS v5.0.7. Diperoleh debit banjir sebesar 444.532 m3/s, 544.032 m3/s, 695.973 m3/s, 830.442 m3/s dan 985.386 m3/s dan nilai elevasi muka air banjir secara berturut-turut yaitu +28.44 m, +29.00 m, +29.66 m, +30.16 m dan +30.71 m serta nilai tinggi jagaan jembatan eksisting berdasarkan elevasi MAB yaitu 11.56 m, 11.00 m, 10.34 m, 9.84 m dan 9.29 m untuk kala ulang 5,10,25,50 dan 100 tahun. Sehingga disimpulkan jembatan eksisting dinilai aman terhadap muka air banjir dan elevasi gelagar terbawah pada jembatan jalur ganda direncanakan mengikuti elevasi gelagar terbawah jembatan eksisting.

Abstract

Hutan mangrove adalah sekelompok pohon atau tumbuhan yang hidup dengan kesamaan adaptasi morfologi dan fisiologi terhadap habitat yang dipengaruhi pasang surut. Gelombang laut menyebabkan abrasi di sekitar pesisir pantai. Daya lenting mangrove memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap peredam gelombang.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui daya lenting akar tunjang mangrove Rhizophora sp. sebagai peredam gelombang.Metode digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Transek-kuadrat oleh Wantasen tahun 2002 untuk menghitung cakupan daerah penelitian. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan alat Control Universal Testing Machine dan dilakukan uji tarik untuk mendapatkan nilai gaya yang dapat ditahan oleh satu akar mangorve. Hasil pengolahan di peroleh pada ketebalan 10 meter, kelentingan akar tunjang mencapai 2,7380E+03 J/m2 dengan energi gelombang yang bisa ditahan sebesar 2,97726E-01 J/ms. Namun, pada ketebalan 50 meter, kelentingan turun menjadi 2,2041E+03 J/m2 dengan energi teredam sebesar 2,99245E-01 J/ms. Kesimpulannya adalah daya lenting akar tunjang oleh mangrove Rhizophora sp memiliki data lenting yang baik dalam meredam gelombang, daya lenting akar mangorve akan meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah akar mangrove pada suatu area sehingga energi peredaman meningkat.

Abstract

Analysis of the criticality and conversion ratio of a gas-cooled fast reactor (GFR) with various UN-PuN fuel fractions using modified CANDLE scheme burn-up in radial direction has been conducted. The fuel fraction varies from 40% - 60% with 5% intervals, the cladding fraction is 10% and the coolant fraction varies from 30% -50%. Data calculations were performed using SRAC 2006 programming with JENDL 4.0 library data. The reactor is divided into 10 regions with equal volume in the radial direction. Each region is filled with natural uranium fuel without enrichment with different burn-up levels. Regions are arranged in such a way that the reactor can reach critical conditions throughout the burn-up period. The results showed that variations in the 40% fuel fraction had not been able to reach critical conditions at the beginning of life, while 45%-60% fuel fraction variations had reached reactor criticality. The conversion ratio for all fuel fractions is greater than 1, which indicates that a breeding process appears in the GFR reactor core.  The conversion ratio for all variations in fuel fractions has almost the same pattern for all regions. The first region has the largest conversion ratio value because it has natural uranium as fuel input which has the highest density compared to other regions.

Abstract

Limbah cair domestik yang berasal dari aktivitas rumah tangga, terutama dari dapur, merupakan sumber pencemaran air yang erat kaitannya dengan permasalahan sanitasi. Salah satu pendekatan ramah lingkungan dalam pengolahannya adalah penggunaan eco-enzyme (EE). Penelitian ini menggunakan EE yang telah dilarutkan dengan aquades menggunkaan perbandingan 1:100 dan diuji pada limbah cair dapur dengan parameter BOD, COD, TSS, Minyak Lemak, dan pH. EE yang digunakan merupakan hasil dari fermentasi dari kulit nanas dan jeruk, dengan rasio air:organik:gula merah 10:3:1. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mencampurkan EE ke dalam limbah cair pada konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15% dari total limbah cair, dan didiamkan selama 10 hari secara aerob, baik dengan aerator maupun tanpa aerator. Hasil penelitian tanpa aerator, penurunan TSS sebesar 7,6% terjadi pada sampel AE2, sedangkan penurunan minyak lemak sebesar 70% tercatat pada sampel AE3, namun BOD dan COD justru meningkat. Sedangkan, hasil penelitian dengan aerator dimana minyak dan lemak juga menurun hingga 60%, namun BOD, COD, dan TSS tidak menunjukkan penurunan yang berarti, bahkan cenderung meningkat, kemungkinan akibat aerasi yang tidak optimal.

Abstract

Renewable Energy needs to be implemented in schools to build students' knowledge. This research aims to design a prototype of a Photovoltaic Power Plant (PLTS), which can be used as a medium for experimental high school physics activities. Besides that, the effect of light intensity on the power produced by the PLTS prototype was experimentally tested by observing temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The PLTS prototype is designed to be simple, with component selection (10 wp solar panels, SCC, batteries, lights and panel boxes) that are adapted to the learning media criteria, namely practical, durable, easy to use and able to demonstrate the concepts being taught. The PLTS prototype was tested when charging and discharging the battery. When charging the battery, the solar panel is tilted with a variety of tilt angles of 0º, 15º, 30º, 45º and 60º. When discharging the battery, lamps with varying powers are used, namely 3W, 5W, 7W and 9W. The research results show that the panel tilt angle is used to produce maximum voltage, current, and power when charging the battery, which is 30°. When the battery is discharged, a smaller lamp power can light the lamp for longer compared to a larger lamp power. In conclusion, the PLTS prototype can provide students with experience in conducting experiments and learning the application of physics concepts directly so that it can build students' knowledge and provide meaningful learning.

Abstract

Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) studies the relationship between electromagnetism and fluid mechanics, a concept with various practical applications, including marine propulsion systems and electromagnetic pumps. This study aims to optimize a simple MHD system to improve the performance of fluid rate measurement based on electromagnetic principles. Optimization is carried out through the analysis of the influence of variations in several system characteristics, namely the given electrical voltage, the distance between electrodes, the length of the electrode, and the salinity of the saltwater. The method employed is experimental, utilizing a simple MHD system design that enables the quantitative observation of changes in the speed of saltwater resulting from the interaction between magnetic and electric fields. The speed of saltwater is measured using a visual approach with the Tracker analysis application. The results showed that increasing the voltage and salinity of the saltwater, as well as decreasing the electrode length or the distance between electrodes, all contribute to increasing the speed of saltwater flow. In other words, each parameter makes a significant contribution to fluid dynamics, thereby allowing for the optimal configuration of the MHD system. The findings in this study are expected to serve as the basis for the development of simple MHD-based fluid rate measurement instruments that are efficient and applicable, enabling a concrete illustration of electromagnetic theory and fluid dynamics.

Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) Portable merupakan IPAL secara desentralisasi yang mengolah limbah dari sumbernya. IPAL Portable dapat dilakukan pada level rumah tangga, perumahan, apartemen, hotel, dan lain-lain. Keunggulan IPAL Portable adalah biaya pembuatan relatif murah karena minim pemipaan dan mudah dipindahkan. Dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini, IPAL Portable yang dibuat merupakan IPAL yang mengolah limbah cair rumah tangga. Sebelum dibuat pilot project IPAL Portable di RT 08 Dusun II Desa Hajimena Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, masyarakat di wilayah ini diedukasi agar mendapatkan pemahaman yang baik tentang limbah cair greywater, dampak buruknya dan cara pengolahannya menggunakan IPAL Portable. Evaluasi kegiatan PKM dilakukan melalui pretest dan post test dimana hasil evaluasi menunjukkan nilai pre-test memiliki rata-rata (mean) sebesar 52,09 sedangkan nilai post-test memiliki rerata 76,02. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan dari masyarakat setelah adanya edukasi. Dari hasil pembuatan IPAL Portable, menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengolahan limbah cair greywater, air menjadi lebih jernih dan tidak berbau dan ikan dapat hidup di dalamnya. Ini artinya air hasil olahan sudah layak untuk dilakukan pembuangan ke badan air sehingga tidak berkontribusi dalam pencemaran air.

Abstract

Virtual Reality Warisan Sejarah Lampung (VRWSL) dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Lampung tentang sejarah Lampung. Teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) memberikan pengalaman interaktif dan akses informasi sejarah. VRWSL memfasilitasi diseminasi sejarah Lampung melalui model interaktif dan mendalam, melewati batasan spasial dan temporal. Desa Negeri Katon Kabupaten Pesawaran, yang terkenal dengan warisan budayanya, menjadi target dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. VRWSL menawarkan pengalaman Virtual Reality yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengunjungi secara virtual situs-situs bersejarah dan mengakses informasi terkait. Delapan landmark, termasuk Museum Lampung, Vihara Thay Hin Bio, dan Monumen Krakatau, dihadirkan dalam aplikasi ini. Implementasi VRWSL meliputi penggunaan model 3D berkepadatan rendah (low-polygon) dan foto 360 derajat yang memberikan pengalaman yang mendalam. Uji Penerimaan Pengguna (User Acceptance Test) dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kepuasan pengguna terhadap VRWSL. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pengguna (60,94%) sangat setuju bahwa VRWSL merupakan media yang efektif untuk mempelajari budaya dan sejarah Lampung. Pengembangan VRWSL yang sukses menggambarkan potensinya dalam mempromosikan pelestarian budaya dan mendiseminasi sejarah Lampung. Aplikasi ini memberikan cara yang mudah bagi individu untuk menjelajahi warisan Lampung tanpa perlu melakukan perjalanan fisik, sehingga memperkaya pengalaman budaya dan berkontribusi dalam pelestarian sejarah Lampung.

Abstract

Urban Heat Island (UHI) is a phenomenon that causes the surface temperature of a city to be higher than the surrounding area due to changes in land cover. To overcome the negative impacts of UHI, especially in the Kebun Bibit Settlement, Hajimena Village, South Lampung, a Community Service program was implemented with the implementation of Sustainable Edible Landscape (SEL). This program consists of two main parts: education about UHI and SEL and implementation of SEL. Education is carried out using interactive media to increase public understanding of UHI and the benefits of SEL in mitigating it. Furthermore, the implementation of SEL involves land preparation, preparation of planting media, sowing seeds, and planting vegetables with the aim of mitigating UHI and increasing food security and the local economy. Evaluation was carried out with pre-tests and post-tests, showing a significant increase in public understanding of UHI and SEL. This activity is expected to improve environmental conditions and improve community welfare.

Abstract

Pekon Way Kerap has extraordinary natural potential such as scenery, the uniqueness of the location which is a transit area for people who are going to or going to the destination will stop by this area. Visits are mainly located at the Imanuddin Mosque at the crossroads and offer beautiful views of the natural atmosphere, making Pekon Way Kerap have the potential to improve infrastructure and supporting facilities in the surrounding area. In addition, the route passed by Pekon Way Kerap is also a tourist route to the Tanjung Setia surfing object location located on the West Coast. Right on the east side of the mosque opposite the location, there is a village of native Lampung people, a settlement with a distinctive appearance of a stage building nuance sprinkled with a variety of beautiful building ornaments, displaying the exotic atmosphere of the area. The settlement is in the form of a stage, as an original/initial building and is still maintained in the future, the sustainability of the existence of a stage building with the uniqueness of the native tribe of Pekon Way Kerap as Kampung Tuha. Increasing the creative capacity of local residents by utilizing the technology era and driven by the fulfillment of facilities, such as internet networks, increasing skills, innovation in the use of creativity requires support from all parties, while maintaining noble values is always an emphasis in running life, as a development of the latest innovations. increasing the flow of information, the more advanced technology, the more we race side by side together to increase potential. The activity aims to explore information, conclude the concept of fulfilling the requirements as a sustainable tourism village. By using qualitative descriptive methods to find out and convey it is hoped that it can meet, solve problems at the activity location. Located in Pekon Way Kerap, Semaka District, Tanggamus Regency. The results of the activity in the form of formulating the idea of the concept of strengthening the creative capacity of residents towards sustainable tourism villages.
