Abstract

Limbah organik dari sisa makanan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan untuk membuat pupuk organik cair (POC). Secara umum pupuk organik cair mengandung unsur hara seperti Nitrogen, Fosfor, Kalium serta C-Organik yang sangat dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pupuk organik cair dari limbah organik berupa sisa makanan terhadap pertumbuhan awal tanaman kangkumg darat dan konsentrasi POC yang memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan awal dari tanaman kangkung darat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deksriptif kuantitatif dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan memberikan 3 perlakuan berdasarkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) yang berbeda, yaitu P1= 50%, P2= 75%, P3= 100%. Penelitian dilakukan selama 1-2 bulan. Hasil penelitian pada perbandingan kosentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) memperlihatkan terdapat beda signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan kangkung darat, yaitu pada tinggi batang, lebar daun dan panjang daun yang diberi perlakuan tidak sama. Perlakuan paling tepat yaitu perlakuan P1 dengan jumlah konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) sebesar 50% (9,52 ml POC + 191,48 ml air) dengan hasil pengukuran tinggi batang 17,5 cm, lebar daun 1,1 cm, dan panjang daun 3,4 cm.

Abstract

Industri tekstil memiliki dampak besar terhadap lingkungan melalui penggunaan bahan kimia, air, dan energi, serta produksi limbah berbahaya. Budaya 5R (pengurangan, penggunaan kembali, daur ulang, penggantian, dan pemulihan limbah) dianggap sebagai pendekatan yang efektif dalam mengurangi dampak negatif industri tekstil terhadap lingkungan. Artikel ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan budaya 5R di lingkungan perusahaan tekstil, termasuk faktor internal (kebijakan, komitmen, partisipasi), faktor eksternal (peraturan, tekanan pemangku kepentingan, teknologi), dan faktor budaya (nilai-nilai, sikap, kesadaran). Metode penelitian menggunakan tinjauan pustaka dan analisis terhadap literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor tersebut memainkan peran penting dalam keberhasilan implementasi budaya 5R di perusahaan tekstil.

Abstract

Body fat is an important aspect in understanding and managing one's physical condition. Accurate measurement of body fat percentage is essential to help accurately plan future health plans. Currently, the method of measuring body fat is still traditional and quite difficult, so what is needed is a more effective method. The Bayesian Ridge Algorithm is a linear regression technique that uses Bayesian inference to estimate the parameters of the model. In this study, it was used to predict the effectiveness of measuring body fat, which is a method often used to evaluate a person's overall health and physical condition. This algorithm takes into account factors such as age, gender, and body mass index (BMI) to make predictions about a person's body fat percentage. The results from this study can be used to improve the accuracy of body fat measurement and help individuals better understand and manage their health. The results of this study indicate that the model has very high accuracy (more than 99%).

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of testing the mechanical properties of fiberglass composites made from normal fiberglass and a mixture of used rice sack waste. This research was conducted using two treatments, namely normal fiberglass and mixed fiberglass with waste. The method used is experimental with one repetition. The experimental results show that the tensile strength of lamina composites with polyester resin matrix and used rice sack fiber reinforcement is strongly influenced by fiber orientation. Therefore, mixed fiber specimens with a mixture of used rice sack fiber can be used as an alternative material to replace normal fiber.

Abstract

The work environment has the potential for Occupational Diseases which cause health problems for workers due to physical work environment factors. The physical work environment is in the form of infrastructure conditions, temperature, lighting and noise, while the non-physical work environment is related to work relations and communication. Workers have the right to work in a safe and comfortable working environment because it is the main factor in determining worker conditions. A supportive work environment can trigger workers to increase productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the comfort level of a workplace using three variables, namely temperature, lighting and noise with the Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) approach. Using the Mamdani FIS method and Matlab R2010b program, it is expected to measure the condition of the work environment, including temperature, lighting, and noise, so that if the work environment conditions are inadequate, evaluation and improvement can be carried out. This research was carried out by a system engineering to determine the quality of the workplace environment using the Mamdani FIS method algorithm through the matlab software. It has been assumed that there are three indicator variables used to determine a condition in which each variable has its own decomposition of the input function and fuzzy set. Based on the case study used as a sample, the room conditions had a temperature level of 22°C, 55 db of noise and 210 lux of lighting, which resulted in an environmental quality of 91.3 with good workspace criteria.

Abstract

In the era of digitally connected information, the challenge of false information or hoaxes is increasingly challenging. False information can cause significant harm, including public confusion, wrong decisions, and even potential harm. Therefore, it is important to develop strong information literacy in dealing with this challenge. This study aims to highlight the importance of information literacy in dealing with hoaxes. Information literacy includes individual abilities to access, evaluate, understand, and use information critically. With good information literacy, individuals can distinguish between accurate and reliable information and false or biased information. In dealing with hoaxes, information literacy provides significant benefits. First, individuals are equipped with the ability to identify hoaxes through traits such as untrusted sources or use of emotional language. Second, they can verify information by checking facts and using reliable sources. Third, information literacy helps in developing a skeptical attitude towards information, so that individuals do not immediately receive information without critical consideration. Finally, information literacy allows for a better understanding of the context of information, including the motives behind spreading hoaxes and the interests involved. Increasing information literacy is important in overcoming the challenge of false information. Education and training that focuses on information literacy needs to be introduced in the education curriculum and also carried out outside the school environment. Through a better understanding of information literacy, individuals can develop higher digital intelligence, make smarter decisions, and contribute to a more informational and democratic society. In order to build a society that is critical of false information, collaboration between educational institutions, the government, the media industry and the wider community is needed. By combining these efforts, we can fight false information and maintain information integrity in an era full of hoaxes.

Abstract

Based on data obtained from BPS (Central Statistics Agency) in 2012 the number of farmers is 48% of the total workforce in Indonesia of around 49.8 million people (Alexandratos and Bruinsma 2012 p: 24). This situation is not enough to make Indonesia a prosperous and developed country. This is due to the low level of productivity of agricultural products because it is not supported by the use of good and environmentally friendly fertilizers. Farmers still often use chemical fertilizers which are capable of speeding up the planting period, but on the other hand in the long run it will actually have a risky negative impact. According to BPS dataon fisheries, shrimp production in Indonesia can reach 200,000 tons per year. The shrimp shell contains protein (25% - 40%), chitin (15% - 20%), and calcium carbonate (45% - 50%). The quality of shrimp shell waste based on nutrient content and nutrients is quite good and suitablefor use as liquid fertilizer, but until now this waste has not been used optimally, causing environmental pollution, especially odors and bad environmental aesthetics. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of making liquid organic fertilizer from shrimp shell waste (SUPERLIZER) and the effect of SUPERLIZER on the growth of chili plants. The method used in this study was to use 5 sample experiments with a comparison of the composition of shrimp shells and EM4 bacteria, namely (A) 200gram:100ml, (B) 300gram:100ml, (C) 400gram:100ml, (D) 500gram:100ml, (E) ) 600gram:100ml also used chemical fertilizer and water control which was tested for 10 days. The best results were obtained for sample (E) witha ratio of 600gram:100ml which gave a 5 cm increase in length compared to chemical fertilizers which only gave a 2.8 cm increase in length. Abstract

The issue of plastic waste has become an urgent global concern, with its negatve impacts on ecosystems and the environment becoming increasingly apparent. In an effort to address this issue, the United Nations has established 17 aspects of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this context, the innovative environmentally friendly bags from EverBloom Bags present an intriguing solution as part of achieving SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Through the theory of sustainable consumption, we emphasize the importance of environmentally friendly products in fostering sustainable consumption patterns. By choosing eco-friendly bags, individuals can actively participate in reducing plastic waste and creating a better environment. The innovation of eco-friendly bags from EverBloom Bags represent a tangible step towards tackling the plastic waste issue. We illustrate the significance of adopting environmentally friendly product in achieving SDG 12, while providing practical solutions that contribute to environmental protection. With collective awareness and action, we can create positive changes in addressing current environmental issues and achieve sustainable development goals for a better future. Abstract

Gender equality is a global goal that has become the concern of the world community. One important factor in achieving gender equality is the role of the millennial generation or what is often referred to as generation Y. The millennial generation has a very important role in fighting for gender equality. Through this research, the authors discuss the role of the millennial generation in realizing gender equality. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting interviews with five millennials who are active in the gender equality movement. The findings from this study indicate that the millennial generation has a good understanding of gender equality and they also actively participate in the gender equality movement. The millennial generation has also taken the initiative to bring gender equality issues into the public sphere through social media and social activities. However, there are still many challenges faced by the millennial generation in fighting for gender equality, such as gender stereotypes and discrimination that still exist in society. Therefore, the millennial generation needs to continue to struggle and work together with related parties to achieve gender equality. Keywords: millennial generation, gender equality

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between technology and politics, focusing on the influence of digital communication techniques on political participation. In the digital era, information and communication technology has changed the political landscape significantly. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of the impact of technology on people's political participation. The methods used in this research are interviews with respondents who are involved in political activities and a survey of a representative population. The collected qualitative and quantitative data will be analyzed using content analysis techniques and descriptive statistics. This research also involves case studies to illustrate how digital communication technologies have affected political participation at individual and collective levels. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of how digital communication technology influences people's political participation. In addition, this research is also expected to provide insights on changes in political and communication power structures as a result of the adoption of new technologies. In the ever-evolving digital era, information and communication technology has changed the way we interact, including in the political context. Developments in digital communication technology, such as the internet, social media, and instant messaging applications, have provided easier and faster access to political information and facilitated more active political participation. Therefore, it is important to understand the relationship between technology and politics and its impact on people's political participation. In this context, an analysis of the influence of digital communication techniques on political participation is relevant. Digital communication techniques, such as the use of social media to share political information, participate in online political discussions, and engage in political campaigns through digital platforms, can provide new opportunities for individuals and groups to participate in political activities.
