Abstract

Industrial growth and population growth have an impact on increasing energy needs. According to the Central Statistical Agency of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020, the population in Indonesia has reached a figure of 273.5 million people, and according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), by 2030, the world's energy demand will have increased by 45%. Approximately 80% of the world’s energy needs come from fossil fuels. In addition, the use of organic waste is the biggest unresolved challenge. Rice husk, which is high in cellulose, is one such organic waste. Many industries in Indonesia also cause water pollution, which causes algae in the waters to increase. For example, a water hyacinth that is left to grow can damage the aquatic ecosystem. This plant produces high levels of carbon and cellulose. Therefore, innovation is needed, such as the utilization in organic batteries and bioethanol gel as renewable energy source. The aim of this research is to utilize waste as a renewable energy source and to know the suitability of the product. This research method is experimental with the acquisition of data from the study of libraries. The types of data obtained are qualitative and quantitative variables. The battery manufacturing process consists of drying, combustion, and packaging. The process of making bioethanol gel includes the stages of pre-treatment, hydrolysis, and fermentation. The results obtained from this study are batteries and bioethanol gel from rice husk and water hyacinth. Keywords: Battery, Bioetanol Gel, Water Hyacinth,Rice Husk

Abstract

Coffee skin is part of the coffee fruit which is on the outer layer. Coffee skin waste is mostly wasted without any initiative from the community to be reprocessed. If left too long in the ground this coffee skin will cause soil pollution. However, it turns out that this coffee skin can be used as organic liquid fertilizer. Coffee skin has a lot of nutrients in it. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of coffee skin in the manufacture of organic liquid fertilizer. The independent variable in this study was coffee skin, namely dry coffee skin. The dependent variable in this study is the quality of organic liquid fertilizer. While the control variables in this study were the influence of the soaking/fermentation time of the coffee skins for a period of 2 weeks, the influence of the temperature and humidity of the place and the influence of the characteristics of the coffee skins, namely the dry coffee skin and the Robusta type. The use of dry coffee skin is because coffee skin has a high nutrient content, so that plants that are given this liquid fertilizer thrive. The results showed that plants that were given this liquid fertilizer could thrive and grow faster than the use of other fertilizers. Keywords: Coffee skin, liquid fertilizer, organic

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate. So that the soil conditions are fertile and many kinds of plants grow. As for some plants whose utilization has not been maximized including banana and soybean fronds. Many people underestimate the banana fronds. In fact, when traced a lot of content that is in it. Meanwhile, if soybeans are used to make tofu, the dregs will just be thrown away. Even though the protein content in it can nourish plants. Not only the diversity of plants, Indonesia is also rich in livestock. Chickens are usually used for meat, feathers and eggs. Most of the use of eggs is for food. However, the use of waste is rarely used, namely egg shells. Egg shells contain good nutrition for plant growth. The tofu dregs of banana fronds and egg shells contain nutrients including calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and amino acids which can help plant growth. On the other hand, the agricultural sector has increased quite rapidly. This causes an increase in fertilizer to help plant growth, one of which is chili. Farmers usually use chemical fertilizers regardless of the negative impact on crop yields or the surrounding environment in the future. Therefore, innovation is needed to utilize tofu waste, banana stems and egg shells to be used as organic fertilizer that is safer to use in the future. above, the authors hope to channel an idea to create alternatives from tofu dregs, banana fronds and egg shells to be used as liquid and solid organic fertilizers to help agriculture and save the environment in the future. Keywords: Banana Stems, Egg Shells, Tofu Dregs.

Abstract

This study aims to model and simulate shoe laundry queues using computer simulation methods. Shoe laundry queue is a complex process and takes a long time to complete the washing and drying process. In this study, Anylogic simulation software was used to model and simulate shoe laundry queues using the Single Channel – Multi Phase method. There are several steps in the process of modeling and simulating shoe laundry queues. The first step is the collection of data and information regarding the queuing process, such as the number of shoes entered, the washing process time, and the drying process time, finishing process time and packing process time. The second step is to build a mathematical model that describes the queuing process. After building a mathematical model, the next step is to implement the model into Anylogic simulation software. Then data is calculated using Pom qm software to get the average number of customers and time spent in the system or queue. The simulation was performed several times to get more accurate results and to see the effect of variable changes in the queuing process. The results of this study show that by using computer simulations, optimization of the shoe laundry queue process can be carried out. By varying the washing process time, the optimal combination can be found to minimize queue time and maximize process throughput. Thus, modeling and simulating shoe laundry queues can help improve process efficiency and reduce operational costs. Keywords: queue, laundry, modeling, simulation, clean shoes
