Abstract

Floods and droughts are problems that threaten the success of agricultural crops. The reservoir can be used as a water management system that can anticipate these problems. This study aims to examine the potential location of the reservoir development planning based on biogeophysical conditions in the Bulok Watershed of Lampung Province, which uses the overlay method and weighting and scoring techniques developed by Geographic Information System (GIS). The population covers the entire biogeophysical area of the Bulok watershed, with samples of 4 biogeophysical parameters, namely land cover, slope, soil conditions and geological conditions. The results showed that the distribution of land cover types that dominate in the Bulok watershed is mixed dry land agriculture. The most common slopes are flat to wavy slopes. The soil types that dominates are soils with andesite lithology, basalt, diorite, fine-grained tefra, and coarse-grained tefra. The geological formation that dominates is the Hulu Simpang Formation.  Based on the 4 biogeophysical parameters selected in the study, there are 69 locations with great potential for planning the construction of reservoirs in the Bulok watershed. 20 points are spread over the administrative area of Tanggamus Regency, 23 points in Pringsewu Regency, and 26 points in Pesawaran Regency. Of the 87.670 ha of Bulok watershed area, 14.192 ha is very potential location area.   Keywords:   Biogeophysical Conditions, Potential Locations, Reservoir

Abstract

Central Java Province is a potential area that has an important role in national food production. El Nino and La Nina events have a very large impact if they occur in Indonesia, especially in Central Java Province. This study aims to analyze the impact of El Nino and La Nina events specifically in Central Java Province where the areas more dominantly affected by El Nino and La Nina. The research location uses 3 rainfall stations, namely the Tunggal Wulung Meteorological Station, Tegal Maritime Meteorological Station, and Tanjung Emas Maritime Meteorological Station. The method used is the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method and the long periodogram. The results showed that the periods of El Nino and La Nina phenomena recurring using the FFT method are forecasts for the periods 2.2428, 2.8036, and 3.7381 years. While using the lom periodogram method, namely in the periods of 2,480, 2,621, and 3:16 years. The results of the analysis of the FFT method obtained results that varied in the height of rainfall at the 3 stations, while the results of the analysis using the periodogram log showed that the Tunggal Wulung rain station had the highest peak rainfall. This study concludes that there are variations in the peak incidence using either the slow periodogram or the FFT method. However, both of these methods and based on the BMKG and TRMM, the Tunggal Wulung Meteorological Station has the highest peak between Tegal Station and Tanjung Emas Station.

Abstract

Beton pada usia dini mengalami deformasi termal akibat panas yang dihasilkan oleh reaksi hidrasi semen. Deformasi ini dapat menyebabkan keretakan pada beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh panas hidrasi semen terhadap perilaku deformasi pada kolom beton usia dini. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental pada 3 sampel beton kolom berukuran 15 cm × 15 cm × 100 cm dengan kuat tekan rencana 20,75 MPa, menggunakan portland composite cement (PCC). Sampel ditutup dengan styrofoam segera setelah pengecoran. Penelitian ini mempelajari perilaku kolom beton dan suhu di dalamnya menggunakan alat embadded vibrating wire strain gauge yang ditanam pada tiap sampel. Posisi EVWSG berada pada 45 cm dari bagian bawah benda uji. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 24 jam dengan rentang setiap 15 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku deformasi dan perubahan suhu dalam beton kolom memiliki pola yang mirip. Nilai minimum dan maksimum deformasi dan suhu dalam beton secara berurutan terjadi pada umur 0 jam dan 7,75 jam sebesar 5,4000E-0,7 (m/m) dengan suhu 29,5 ⁰C dan 5,6808E-0,5 (m/m) dengan suhu 36,1 ⁰C dan rata-rata deformasi sebesar 3,0341E-0,5 dengan rata-rata suhu 32⁰C. Kata kunci : Hidrasi semen, deformasi, kolom beton, suhu dalam beton.

Abstract

This study analyzes the revetment structure located at Muli Beach, South Lampung, through wave analysis occurring at the beach. The stability of the coastal protection structure, revetment, at Muli Beach is of utmost importance due to safety and security concerns for beach users. If the revetment is unstable, it can cause damage to the structure and potentially pose hazards to the users. The aim of this research is to assess the stability of the revetment structure against high waves occurring at the beach. The analysis method employed in this study utilizes wave forecasting with a return period of 10 years. The analysis also encompasses the examination of the components constituting the revetment structure at Muli Beach. The research findings indicate that the composition of the revetment structure is unstable against high waves. The wave forecasting analysis at Muli Beach resulted in a significant wave height, Hs = 1,02 m and a wave height at breaking point Hb = 1,82 m. Regarding the structure's components, there are several shattered stones > 2, indicating inconsistency with the existing literature. In the analysis of the revetment toe protection, a stability coefficient value of Ns^3 = 290 was obtained, which can be considered safe. Based on these analysis results, it is recommended to implement necessary measures to prevent the collapse of the revetment structure during high wave events. Keywords: revetment, waves, stability, beach.

Abstract

The bearing capacity of the soil is the support of the foundation, where the foundation transmits the loads derived from the weight of the building itself and the loads acting on the building to the surrounding soil. The purpose of this paper is to determine the handling of seepage and soil reinforcement needed in the case study of the Margatiga Dam Project, East Lampung. Based on the results of geological investigations, the Margatiga Dam is composed of a quarter-aged rock layer with a fragment composition of fine sand - gravel, with a soft - hard hardness level and the need for foundation repair. Based on the lithological conditions of the Margatiga Dam Extraction Gate foundation and the Spillway building which are composed of relatively deep and quite porous alluvial sand deposits, this causes the curtain grouting results to be ineffective, therefore it is necessary to change the seepage control design from the Grouting Curtain to the boundary wall. Based on the simulation check in Plaxis Software for Seepage and Excavation Staging, processing was carried out using Secant Pile and Soldier Pile with a depth of 30 meters with a stretch of 140 m and overlapping with Curtain Grouting of Embankment Dam on the left side and 5 m right side. Field PMT results showed that the maximum stress of the rock layer under the spillway foundation was 0.016 MPa and 0.630 MPa.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country affected by the El Nino and La Nina climate anomalies. The provinces of Aceh, Central Kalimantan, and Maluku are three regions representing parts of Indonesia that have a variety of rainfall distribution and climatic conditions. This research was conducted to determine the influence of the El Nino and La Nina climate anomalies on these three regions by looking at the areas that have a dominant influence due to these climate anomalies. The research used BMKG Indonesia rainfall data with a total of 16 rainfall stations and a data range of 22 years. The methods used for modeling are the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Lomb Periodogram to obtain rainfall spectrum data. Then, the amplitude value was obtained, and a comparison of the data from the two methods was carried out to determine the recurrence value and the area with the highest impact due to climate anomalies. The results of data analysis according to the FFT and Lomb Periodogram showed that the highest affected area was the eastern part of Indonesia, namely Maluku Province, with the dominant frequency according to the FFT method being 5.61 years with a PSD of 7.67 mm2 and the Lomb Periodogram 6.06 years with a PSD of 18.64 mm2. Based on the average PSD value, using both FFT and Lomb Periodograms, it also shows that the influence of El Nino and La Nina is greatest in the eastern part of Indonesia; as you move towards the west, this influence decreases. The smallest influence occurred in western Indonesia. This shows that the influence of ENSO is more dominant than the influence of IODM.

Abstract

The WebGis-based water quality information system is designed to facilitate more effective monitoring, management, and storage of water quality data for government agencies and the public. The main objective of this system is to build an information platform on water quality conditions across various regions, making it easier for government agencies to make decisions regarding water quality management and mitigating potential environmental risks. This study analyzed water quality using the Pollution Index (PI) method in the Seputih Sekampung River Basin from 2019 to 2023. The results of the water quality calculations showed that the decline in water quality was predominantly caused by human activities, particularly high levels of E. coli or Total Coliform. This decline was also consistent with changes in land cover in the area. The system development was carried out using the prototyping method and tested using User Acceptance Testing. The study results indicate that the developed system is capable of managing water resource data in Lampung Province and presenting this information to users through a WebGIS interface. Through data integration, it is expected that efforts to protect water quality resources will become more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

Salah satu inisiatif penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi adalah pembangunan ruang praktik siswa di SMKN 9 Bandar Lampung, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan fasilitas dan meningkatkan lingkungan belajar siswa. Evaluasi kinerja yang akurat, mengoptimalkan sumber daya dan memastikan penyelesaian tepat waktu dan sesuai anggaran adalah kunci keberhasilan. Metode kurva S dan metode nilai perolehan digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja proyek karena keduanya dapat memberikan analisis kinerja, biaya, dan waktu yang menyeluruh secara bersamaan. Nilai rencana, nilai aktual, biaya aktual, varian rencana, varian biaya, indeks aktual rencana, dan indeks kinerja biaya adalah parameter utama yang digunakan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menilai kemajuan proyek berdasarkan biaya dan waktu serta efisiensi pelaksanaannya. Kegiatan konstruksi dan penyediaan fasilitas pendukung adalah bagian dari proyek, dengan fokus pada pemenuhan jadwal dan anggaran. Salah satu asumsi yang digunakan adalah stabilitas harga material dan tenaga kerja Namun, keterbatasan penelitian termasuk kurangnya data dan faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi kinerja. Sebagai hasil dari analisis, proyek pembangunan ruang praktik siswa di SMKN 9 Bandar Lampung telah berjalan sesuai rencana dan tim telah memiliki kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan beberapa bagian proyek lebih cepat dari yang direncanakan. Studi ini sangat membantu manajemen proyek konstruksi, terutama dalam hal evaluasi dan optimalisasi kinerja dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis biaya dan waktu. Diharapkan temuan ini akan menjadi pedoman untuk manajemen proyek pendidikan serupa, meminimalkan biaya dan keterlambatan jadwal, dan membantu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan anggota Karang Taruna di Pekon Sukabaru, Kecamatan Way Krui, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Provinsi Lampung, dalam mempromosikan pariwisata lokal melalui media sosial. Pelatihan ini difokuskan pada penggunaan aplikasi Canva dan CapCut sebagai alat bantu untuk membuat konten visual dan video yang menarik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sesi pre-test lisan, penyampaian materi, praktik langsung, dan post-test lisan untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan keterampilan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta mengenai pembuatan konten digital. Sebanyak 65% peserta mampu menghasilkan poster dan video yang siap digunakan untuk promosi wisata. Selain itu, peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme dan komitmen untuk mengaplikasikan keterampilan yang diperoleh dalam memajukan pariwisata daerah. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil memberdayakan komunitas lokal dalam meningkatkan daya tarik wisata melalui media sosial, serta berpotensi memperkuat perekonomian lokal. Disarankan agar pelatihan lanjutan dan kolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah dilakukan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program ini.

Abstract

Jabung Irrigation Area is one of the irrigation areas located in East Lampung Regency with an area of 7,288 hectares. Jabung Irrigation Area has a problem of uneven water distribution. This problem occurs in the downstream area due to damage to physical infrastructure, especially in tertiary irrigation canals, and sub-optimal operation and maintenance activities. Therefore, based on the Minister of Public Works and Housing Regulation No. 12/PRT/M/2015 concerning the Exploitation and Maintenance of Irrigation Networks, a study was conducted on determining the Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI) of the tertiary network in the Jabung Irrigation Area. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of the tertiary irrigation system of the Jabung Irrigation Area which is useful for formulating follow-up programs such as repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the irrigation network. The research method was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method and direct assessment in the field as well as interviews. The assessment covers 6 aspects, namely the condition of physical infrastructure, crop productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, and Farmers' Water Users Association (P3A). The results showed that the performance of the tertiary irrigation network in the Jabung Irrigation Area is in good condition (70.54%).
