Abstract

Permasalahan sampah merupakan salah satu masalah yang hingga saat ini belum mampu untuk dientaskan. Berdasarkan sifat fisik dan kimianya, sampah terbagi menjadi empat jenis, yaitu sampah organik, anorganik, debu, serta sampah B3. Desa Margaluyu merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Leles Kabupaten Garut yang memiliki potensi di bidang pertanian dan perkebunan. Kegiatan pertanian dan perkebunan tersebut menghasilkan banyak sampah organik yang belum dikelola dengan baik. Sampah organik dikumpulkan oleh para petani dan pekebun langsung dibakar di halaman rumah masing-masing. Hal tersebut jika dilakukan secara terus-menerus dan dibiarkan akan menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan yang baru. Sampah organik merupakan salah satu sampah yang dapat didaur ulang menjadi pupuk kompos. Salah satu teknik pengolahan sampah yang dapat diupayakan dalam mengelola sampah organik menjadi pupuk kompos adalah dengan teknik biopori dalam planter bag menggunakan pipa paralon PVC. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi pembuatan biopori dalam planter bag kepada anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Desa Margaluyu. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah berbentuk sosialisasi dan workshop yang diikuti anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Desa Margaluyu dari 16 RW yang dilaksanakan di lingkungan Harum Madu Desa Margaluyu. Pengabdian ini mendapatkan respons yang positif serta antusias yang tinggi dari anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Desa Margaluyu. Peserta kegiatan diberikan masing-masing satu planter bag yang sudah dipasangkan biopori agar dapat digunakan di rumah masing-masing.

Abstract

Basic literacy is an important skill that all students should have, especially those at the primary education level. This study raises the problem of the low reading and writing skills of grade 2 students at SDN Kalibeluk 02, namely related to the causes and factors that affect their basic literacy development. The purpose of this study is to examine the basic literacy problems faced by grade 2 students at SDN Kalibeluk 02 and to identify solutions in the form of factors that contribute to improving students' literacy skills and methods to overcome these problems. This research utilized a qualitative approach involving data collection through observations, interviews and documentation studies. As shown by the results of the study, students have difficulty reading, writing and understanding simple texts. Some of the facts obtained towards the problem are low interest in learning, lack of interesting teaching materials, and lack of support from families especially parents during learning at home. This study suggests that literacy improvement efforts should involve students themselves, parents and teachers to create a better learning environment. It is hoped that with attention to these issues, students will acquire the most effective basic literacy skills and support their learning process in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable emotional control skills instrument for elementary school students. Emotional control is one of the essential skills in supporting children's learning success and social adaptation. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model, which includes the stages of preliminary study, instrument design, expert validation, limited testing, and field testing. The test subjects consisted of 30 fifth-grade elementary school students. The developed instrument consisted of 40 statements, of which 25 were found to be valid based on indicators of children's emotional control skills. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students and assessed using Cronbach's Alpha internal reliability test. The analysis results showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.846, which is higher than (α > 0.6), indicating that the instrument has a high level of reliability. These findings reinforce that the instrument is suitable for use as an assessment tool to measure emotional control skills consistently and accurately in elementary school students. This study contributes to providing an applicable and contextual psychopedagogical measurement tool for the elementary education environment.

Abstract

Students are the main asset in building the sustainability of the nation and national civilization so that good character values are needed to form students with noble morals. The teachings taught in character education are not limited to the transformation of right and wrong values, but are also related to the cultivation of habits or habituation regarding what is good and what is bad. This research aims to find out how character values are embedded in elementary school students. The qualitative method was carried out through direct observation and in-depth interviews to determine the character values instilled in students through formal education at elementary school level. The results of the research show that there are 18 character values that are embedded in students through habits where in forming individual character it is necessary to have communities of character as character builders which can apparently be found at the elementary school level. Formal education makes students familiar with the rules that embed character values in them so that formal education becomes a shaper in the student's personality that continues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD N Timbang 01. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. There are three research questions in this study, namely, how parenting styles are applied in assisting learning at home, what factors influence the effectiveness of parenting styles in supporting student learning outcomes, and whether parenting styles contribute to student learning outcomes. The research informants consisted of classroom teachers, parents, and students selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that parenting styles play an important role in shaping students' motivation, discipline, and consistency in learning. Democratic parenting styles were found to produce optimal and stable learning outcomes because they are supported by clear learning rules, parental guidance, and two-way communication that encourages children's intrinsic motivation. Authoritarian and mixed parenting styles tend to produce fluctuating learning outcomes because children's learning motivation is more external and influenced by pressure, such as punishment and threats. Meanwhile, permissive parenting shows relatively low learning outcomes due to a lack of rules and supervision, resulting in children being less disciplined and distracted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Kranggan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada materi IPAS aspek sosial. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan rendahnya partisipasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam kerja kelompok, di mana aktivitas belajar masih didominasi oleh siswa berkemampuan tinggi sementara siswa lain cenderung pasif. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada kurang optimalnya interaksi sosial dan keterampilan kolaboratif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas siswa, wawancara dengan guru dan peserta didik, serta dokumentasi hasil kerja kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan kerja sama siswa, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 44,93 pada siklus I menjadi 83,93 pada siklus II. Peningkatan terlihat pada aspek partisipasi aktif, komunikasi, tanggung jawab, kedisiplinan, dan kekompakan kelompok. Selain itu, penerapan model STAD menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan, menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri, dan mendorong siswa untuk saling menghargai serta membantu teman. Guru juga mengalami peningkatan kemampuan dalam mengelola pembelajaran kolaboratif dan memfasilitasi interaksi positif antar siswa. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan STAD tidak hanya berdampak pada peningkatan sosial siswa, tetapi juga memperkuat profesionalitas guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terbukti efektif dalam membangun interaksi sosial positif, kerjasama, mengembangkan karakter kolaboratif, dan meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of habituation of discipline character in grade V students of SDN Kalisari through the concept of habitus and arena Pierre Bourdieu. A qualitative approach with phenomenological design is used to delve deeply into the experiences of principals, teachers, and students towards the habituation practices that take place. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed inductively based on the Miles and Huberman steps. The results of the study showed that routinely habitual practices such as morning prayers, Asmaul Husna readings, dhuha and dzuhur prayers, flag ceremonies, gymnastics, and class pickets succeeded in forming an automatic pattern of disciplined behavior. This process occurs through the gradual internalization of values so that the discipline evolves from external obedience to internal awareness. The difference in the level of discipline between students is influenced by variations in initial habitus, especially family support and home environment. Habituation has proven to be more effective than the reward-punishment approach  because it is able to instill values, strengthen self-regulation, and reproduce cultural capital through the example of teachers and the structure of school activities. The novelty of this research lies in the use of Pierre Bourdieu's concept of habitus and arena as an analytical framework to explain the process of internalizing the character of discipline through habituation in elementary schools which has been studied more normatively and descriptively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perbedaan partisipasi akademik antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan di kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Limpung yang memiliki komposisi gender tidak seimbang, serta menganalisis persepsi guru dan strategi pedagogis yang digunakan untuk menciptakan pemerataan keterlibatan siswa. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi berulang, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi nilai semester yang memberikan gambaran objektif mengenai capaian akademik siswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa siswa perempuan menunjukkan dominasi verbal dan inisiatif yang lebih tinggi dalam diskusi, presentasi, dan kerja kelompok, sementara siswa laki-laki lebih pasif meskipun memiliki kemampuan akademik yang setara. Ketimpangan ini dipengaruhi oleh tekanan psikososial sebagai kelompok minoritas, rasa kurang percaya diri, dan norma kelas yang terbentuk berdasarkan gaya interaksi mayoritas perempuan. Guru memandang kondisi tersebut sebagai tantangan yang perlu ditangani, sehingga menerapkan strategi responsif gender seperti pengelompokan heterogen, pembagian peran bergilir, penguatan positif, aturan pemerataan kesempatan berbicara, serta aktivitas pra-diskusi untuk mendukung kesiapan siswa laki-laki. Berbagai intervensi tersebut terbukti mampu meningkatkan keberanian dan partisipasi verbal siswa laki-laki, sekaligus menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih inklusif dan seimbang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa ketimpangan partisipasi bukanlah akibat perbedaan kemampuan, melainkan fenomena sosial-pedagogis yang dapat diatasi melalui desain pembelajaran yang sensitif gender dan konsisten.

Abstract

Procrastination behavior is exhibited by fifth-grade students in the Pancasila Education subject at SDN Gurah 1, as indicated by delays in submitting assignments and less optimal understanding of Pancasila values. Self-regulated learning trains students to manage time, set learning goals, and independently monitor and evaluate their learning processes. This study aims to: (1) analyze the level of students’ self-regulated learning; (2) identify the level of students’ procrastination behavior in Pancasila Education learning; and (3) examine the relationship and effect of self-regulated learning ability on students’ procrastination behavior. This research employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto method. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires using a Likert scale to measure levels of self-regulated learning and procrastination behavior, complemented by documentation to obtain supporting data. The data collection instruments consisted of self-regulated learning and procrastination behavior questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis to describe data characteristics, prerequisite tests (normality and linearity tests), and inferential analysis using simple regression to determine the effect of self-regulated learning on students’ procrastination behavior. The results of the simple regression analysis indicate that self-regulated learning has a negative and significant effect on students’ procrastination behavior. Based on these findings, teachers are encouraged to consistently integrate self-regulated learning strategies into the learning process to reduce procrastination behavior among fifth-grade students at SDN Gurah 1.
