Abstract

Keterkinian penggunaan teknologi mengubah regulasi perizinan membawa smartphone di sekolah yang mengakibatkan rendahnya partisipasi siswa mengikuti pembelajaran karena terganggu pada konten yang termuat di dalamnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengimplementasikan model kooperatif metode FGD (Focus Group Discussion) pada pembelajaran biologi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa kelas X-9 di SMAN 1 Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan berupa penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan setelah diberi perlakuan yakni partisipasi siswa kelas X-9 dapat meningkat hingga 77% yang tergolong pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model kooperatif metode FGD pada pembelajaran biologi mampu meningkatkan partisipasi siswa kelas X-9 di SMAN 1 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus secara berurutan dengan empat tahap meliputi Perencanaan Tindakan, Pelaksanaan Tindakan, Observasi Tindakan, dan Refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 36 peserta didik kelas X-12 di SMAN 1 Sidoarjo semester genap tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Hasil belajar dilihat dari rata-rata nilai lembar evaluasi akhir secara klasikal dan diperkuat dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah diintegrasikan dengan google form untuk kemudian dilakukan analisis dan dibandingkan dengan kriteria Penilaian Acuan Patokan (PAP) skala 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2, yaitu siklus 1 memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 71.63 (kriteria sedang) menjadi 84.27 (kriteria tinggi) pada siklus 2. Didukung juga dengan persentase ketuntasan peserta didik di kelas, yaitu 47% pada siklus 1 menjadi 69.55% pada siklus 2.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia's leading national commodities. However, coffee cultivation produces organic agricultural waste in the form of coffee husks. Based on its content, coffee husk waste still has the potential to be processed into other useful products, one of which is animal feed. The occupation of Ngembat village apart from cultivating coffee, are also raising ruminants, so the solution offered wasto carry out training on making animal feed with coffee husk waste. Community service activity was carried out on July 29, 2023 at the Ngembat Village Hall. The activity was attended by 17 residents of Ngembat village. The activity began with material regarding basic nutritional needs for ruminants and the content of coffee skins, then continued with participants practicing coffee husk fermentation. Coffee skin waste was fermented with Trichoderma sp. and the resulting product was evaluated after 5 days. The activity had received positive response from all participants and the product results of the participants had been as expected. With the implementation of training on making animal feed from coffee skin waste, it is hoped that it can reduce agricultural waste resulting from coffee cultivation carried out by the people of Ngembat village.

Abstract

Senduro goats are a leading local dairy livestock commodity in Lumajang Regency. To increase goats’ milk production and health, the farmers still need additional knowledge and skill about forage standards. This Community Service activity aims to increase farmers' knowledge about the use of local plants to increase the milk production and the health of Senduro goats in Lumajang, as well as to improve their skills in providing feed. The activity used lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The data of training participants’ knowledge were obtained through pre- and post-tests. Participants’ response were obtained using a questionnaire. The results showed that overall participants’ knowledge about the use of local plants to increase milk production and the health of Senduro goats increased. The clarity of the material delivery, the demonstration of feed formulations, and the implementation were stated to be very good. In addition, the participants hoped that the activity would continue.

Abstract

It turns out that the phenomenon in teaching Arabic is that students' thinking skills are still low. This phenomenon is evident in the number of students who give wrong answers to Arabic language questions that require deep thinking during Arabic language teaching. This is not consistent with the current curriculum that requires students to develop their mentality, specifically to think either critically or creatively. This phenomenon indicates that the level of thinking skills, especially in short-term memory, among students is still low. Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop the game "Brain Adventure" to develop short-term memory among students in teaching Arabic to sixth grade primary school students. The method used in this research is developmental research with the ADDIE development model. This model is implemented in several stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The researchers focused on the first four stages. The results of this research are: the first stage of this research is the analysis of the curricula, the analysis of the materials, and the analysis of the students' memory abilities. The second stage is the design of questions and materials according to the curriculum. The third stage is the development of the game using the adventure model. The fourth stage is the implementation, which includes testing the material experts and educational media experts before implementing the developed game on small topics. As for the results of the questionnaire, the level of feasibility of the adventure game from the experts falls into the value "very good". This indicates that this game is suitable for use in teaching the Arabic language as a teaching tool to develop short-term memory in students.

Abstract

Remaja termasuk kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap berbagai masalah kesehatan reproduksi akibat minimnya pengetahuan, pengaruh lingkungan, dan mudahnya akses informasi yang tidak sehat. Edukasi kesehatan reproduksi sejak dini sangat penting untuk mencegah perilaku berisiko seperti seks pranikah, pernikahan dini, serta infeksi menular seksual. Salah satu strategi yang efektif adalah pendekatan tutor sebaya yang menekankan pada peran siswa sebagai agen edukasi bagi teman sebayanya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa SMP Labschool Unesa mengenai kesehatan reproduksi melalui pelatihan tutor sebaya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap pelatihan (pemberian materi dan pretest) serta tahap implementasi (praktik tutor sebaya melalui pembuatan poster dan posttest). Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebesar 75% serta respon positif terhadap materi, metode, dan fasilitator. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan tutor sebaya efektif sebagai metode edukasi kesehatan reproduksi remaja, sekaligus dapat direplikasi pada sekolah lain.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 meningkatkan perkembangan teknologi, penelitian dan ilmu pengetahuan di Indonesia. Sehingga peserta didik diharapkan memiliki keterampilan inovasi dalam pembelajaran, keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam memecahkan masalah, keterampilan penggunaan teknologi dan media informasi sehingga bermanfaat dalam life and career skills. Salah satu materi biologi yang cocok diterapkan dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah sistem pencernaan manusia. Penelitian memiliki tujuan guna menghasilkan e-book interaktif sistem pencernaan yang valid dan praktis untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pengembangan e-book menggunakan model 4D tanpa disseminate. Metode penelitian menggunakan lembar validasi dan respon. Validitas diukur bedasarkan validasi ahli materi, ahli pendidikan serta guru biologi SMA. Kepraktisan diukur berdasarkan lembar respon peserta didik terkait kemudahan penggunaan ­e-book. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan terhadap 20 peserta didik kelas XI IPA MA Unggulan Al-Falah Sidoarjo. Data dilakukan analisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu e-book interaktif tergolong dalam kategori sangat valid dengan skor mencapai 3,93. Kepraktisan mencapai 97,4% termasuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book interaktif sangat valid serta praktis untuk dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sebagai media pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia secara mandiri maupun di dalam kelas.

Abstract

The Indonesian Community Association (PERMAI) is a nonprofit organization that supports Indonesian communities living in Malaysia. One of its educational programs is Sanggar Bimbing (SB) Permai, which provides access to education for Indonesian children who face difficulties obtaining formal education. In this program, students are introduced to Indonesian curriculum materials, including citizenship, history, culture, and the Indonesian language, as well as academic subjects such as basic science. However, limited facilities and teaching staff restrict the amount of material students receive. Therefore, an enrichment program on basic science was conducted through simple experiments to improve students’ science process skills. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed a moderate improvement in students’ science understanding (N-gain = 0.53), very positive participant responses (average score = 4.38), and well-developed science skills, including observing, planning experiments, using tools and materials, and conducting experiments. Overall, the simple experiment activities received positive responses, although improvements are still needed to enhance their effectiveness and implementation according to students’ conditions.
