Abstract

The quality of duck feed is a main factor that determines the safety of food derived from duck products for humans, considering that the people in South Kalimantan widely consume duck products. Duck farming is the main commodity in the farming system of Bangun Bersama Farmer Group, Rantau Karau Hilir Village. The main problem faced by this farmer group is the lack of knowledge about the impact of aflatoxin contamination in duck feed on the duck performance and product safety. This community service is carried out to increase the knowledge and skills of farmer group members to produce duck ratio formulated from local feedstuffs and to prevent aflatoxin contamination through fermentation using Trichoderma.  The Focus Group Discussion (FGD), training, and mentoring were carried out properly according to the purpose of service and received high enthusiasm from partners. Awareness about the dangers of aflatoxins in duck and human health is well established, so the potential for sustainability of service results is high. In addition, farmer group members gain the ability to produce low-cost duck ration by using local feedstuff.  ---  Kualitas pakan itik merupakan faktor utama yang menentukan keamanan pangan manusia yang berasal dari produk itik, mengingat itik banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Selatan. Beternak itik menjadi komoditas utama pertanian bagi Kelompok Tani Bangun Bersama, Desa Rantau Karau Hilir. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang dampak cemaran aflatoksin dalam pakan itik pada performa itik dan keamanan produk. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota kelompok tani untuk menghasilkan formulasi rasio pakan itik dari bahan pakan lokal dan untuk mencegah kontaminasi aflatoksin melalui fermentasi menggunakan Trichoderma. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan  adalah Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pengabdian dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra sekitar 91%. Selain itu, mitra dapat terampil membuat pakan itik fermentasi menggunakan Trichoderma dengan memanfaatkan bahan lokal sebanyak satu kali.

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the interaction between chicken manure and tofu liquid waste-based liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of pak choy, as well as to determine the individual and combined effects of chicken manure and tofu liquid waste POC on pak choy performance. The study employed a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was chicken manure application: A0 (control), A1 (25 t ha⁻¹), and A2 (35 t ha⁻¹). The second factor was the concentration of tofu liquid waste POC: L0 (control), L1 (10%), L2 (15%), and L3 (20%). The experiment was conducted over three months, from February to May 2024, at the Sustainable Food Yard Demonstration Plot managed by the Palem Asri Komet Women Farmers Group. The results indicated a significant interaction between chicken manure and tofu liquid waste POC on plant height during the first and second weeks of growth. The combination of A1 (25 t ha⁻¹ chicken manure) and L1 (10% POC concentration) yielded the best results. Additionally, chicken manure alone significantly affected the number of pak choy leaves across all four weeks, with A1 again being the most effective treatment. In contrast, tofu liquid waste POC applied as a single factor did not significantly influence plant growth or yield.

Abstract

Mesofauna seperti Acari dan Collembola memiliki peranan yang sangat penting di dalam tanah, yaitu sebagai organisme dekomposer bahan organik di dalam tanah. Oleh karena itu, mesofauna di dalam tanah dapat digunakan sebagai indikator kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan populasi dan keragaman jenis fauna tanah Acari dan Collembola pada budidaya ubi Alabio di lahan rawa lebak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksplorasi deskriptif. Faktor yang diteliti adalah kepadatan populasi fauna tanah Acari dan Collembola  dan keragaman jenis fauna tanah Acari dan Collembola. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa genus Acari yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Diapterobates sedangkan genus Collembola adalah Acrocyrtus. Nilai keragaman jenis Famili Acari paling tinggi yaitu Sarcoptiformes dan Famili Collembola adalah Isotomidae.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Mas’ud Putri merupakan tipe pondok modern, yang selain mengajarkan pelajaran agama juga mengajarkan pelajaran umum, dan sekaligus sebagai tempat proses hidup itu sendiri dalam bentuk umum. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Mas’ud Putri adalah pemanfaatan limbah yang belum optimal di lingkungan mitra sebagai nutrisi pada budidaya sayuran sistem hidroponik. Pengenalan terhadap berbagai pemanfaatan limbah dan budidaya sayuran hidroponik perlu dilakukan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra mengenai pemanfaatan limbah pada budidaya sayuran sistem hidroponik. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yaitu berupa penyuluhan, praktek, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan respon positif dari mitra terutama dalam pengelolaan limbah organik menjadi POC yang kaya akan nutrisi. Selain itu, partisipasi mitra pada kegiatan praktek dan pendampingan sangat berperan aktif. Oleh karena itu, ketersediaan sayur di pondok pesantren dapat meningkatkan konsumsi sayuran dan juga meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra terhadap sistem hidroponik. Melalui pemanfaatan limbah sebagai pupuk organik cair yang dapat digunakan sebagai subtitusi hara pada hidroponik.

Abstract

Ubi Alabio (Dioscorea alata L.) memiliki potensi sebagai pangan fungsional di Kalimantan Selatan namun belum optimal dari segi budidaya. Aplikasi pupuk hijau dari gulma air menjadi altenatif pemupukan ramah lingkungan. Pendekatan karakter morfologi dan fisiologi kaitannya dengan fotosintesis dapat dilakukan untuk melihat efektivitas pemupukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari karakter morfologi dan fisiologi daun ubi alabio perbedaan aplikasi pupuk hijau di lahan rawa lebak. Pemberian berbagai jenis pupuk hijau tidak berpengaruh terhadap karakter morfologi daun ubi alabio yang meliputi panjang, lebar dan luas daun. Karakter fisiologi daun yaitu berat kering daun dan kandungan klorofil b serta klorofil total juga tidak menunjukkan perbedaan pada aplikasi berbagai jenis pupuk hijau, akan tetapi  tren data menunjukkan pupuk hijau kayu apu memebrikan karakter cukup baik dibanding pupuk lain. Aplikasi pupuk kayu apu 35 ton ha-1 menghasilkan kandungan klorofil a paling tinggi pada daun ubi alabio yaitu berkisar antara 4,556-6,900

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Mas’ud Putri merupakan salah satu pondok pesantren modern yang berada di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Pembakaran sampah organik masih sering dilakukan mitra saat ini dengan alasan efisiensi waktu, tenaga, dan biaya. Kebiasaan tersebut akan memberikan dampak negative bagi lingkungan. selain meningkatkan gas rumah kaca, pembakaran dapat merugikan tanaman di sekitar lingkungan mitra karena tidak mendapatkan pengembalian bahan organik pada media tumbuh yang memang memiliki status kesuburan tanah rendah. Permasalahan mitra terdiri dari pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan sampah organik yang ramah lingkungan masih belum optimal, terbatasnya tenaga dan waktu mitra dalam pengelolaan sampah karena kegiatan harian yang sangat padat, serta konservasi tanah di sekitar lingkungan mitra yang belum optimal. Solusi permasalahan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah organik yang ramah lingkungan serta penerapan sistem biopori di sekitar area ponpes mitra. Kegiatan dilakukan selama kurang lebih delapan bulan. Kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi mengenai pengelolaan sampah dan sistem biopori, pelatihan pengolahan sampah organik dengan menggunakan biodekomposer, pelatihan dalam penerapan sistem biopori, pendampingan pengembangan sistem biopori, serta monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Sosialisasi yang dilakukan tentang pengelolaan sampah organik dan system biopori di Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Mas’ud Puteri dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan masyarakat pondok. Pendampingan penerapan system biopori mendapat respon positif dari mitra sehingga santriwati dan pengelola pondok terlibat aktif dalam pembuatan sistem biopori.

Abstract

Green grass jelly (Premna serratifolia L.) is a vine or coiled plant originating from Southeast Asia. Green grass jelly cultivation in Indonesia is still relatively low due to the difficulty of cultivating grass jelly plants, especially in terms of plant propagation. In general, propagation is done by stem cuttings. PGR that is often used is synthetic ZPT, one of which is Rootone F, but its use is less effective in terms of economy. it is necessary to substitute with ZPT derived from natural materials or from the use of household and industrial wastes such as coconut water, rice washing water, and tofu waste water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soaking natural PGR in coconut water, rice washing water, and tofu waste water and to find out the best natural PGR ingredients for the growth of green grass jelly plants. This study used an experimental design used was a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consisted of four treatments and was repeated five times so that twenty experimental units were obtained with 3 samples each, requiring 60 plants. P1=0.1 gL-1 Rootone F (positive control), P2=450 ml.L-1 young coconut water, P3=450 ml.L-1 rice washing water, P4=450 ml.L-1 tofu dregs water.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important food crop because it produces rice which is a staple food source, as in Indonesia rice is the main commodity in supporting people's food. One of the causes of rice production is the application of fertilizer, the application of fertilizer by farmers in the study area is still general in nature due to limited knowledge of data. This study aims to determine rice production due to the use of inorganic fertilizers in Batu Merah Village, Lampihong District, Balangan Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection on rice production by way of surveys and questionnaires to 10 respondent farmers in the field, to determine the yield of rice production in 10 paddy fields with an average area of ​​study area, around (± 9.7 ha) or 9,798 m2. The farmers used inorganic fertilizers twice, before planting with a dose of 75 kg/ha of urea, 30 kg/ha of SP-36, and 30 kg/ha of NPK fertilizer. The second fertilization when the rice plants are two months old, with a dose of 50 kg/ha of urea, 20 kg/ha of SP-36 fertilizer, and 20 kg/ha of NPK fertilizer. Rice production results from the area of ​​land that has been converted, yields an average of around 2.99 t/ha. The main factor of high and low production yields is due to the different area of ​​paddy fields owned by farmers.

Abstract

The study was to determine the effect of the time of application from NASA liquid organic fertilizer on the generative phase of sponge plants (gambas). In cultivating plants, there are several obstacles faced such as less fertile soil and fertilization that is not on target, causing production results to be not optimal. One way that can be done to increase crop production is using NASA's POC. This research was carried out at Lahan Percobaan of the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. The research method used was a study using a one-factor Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 4 treatments and 5 tests so that 20 experimental units with a NASA LOF concentration of 2 ml.l-1 water were obtained. The treatment to be applied is: P0 = without giving NASA LOF, P1 = giving NASA LOF (application at 2 WAP), P2 = giving NASA LOF (application at age 2 and 4 WAP), P3 = giving NASA LOF (application at age 2, 4 and 6 WAP). The results showed that the timing of NASA's LOF It has no effect on the parameters of fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight and number of fruits of sponge plants, but has a noticeable effect on the parameters of the number of male flowers and the number of female flowers of sponge plants. NASA's POC application with a time interval of 3 times (P3) showed the best results in the parameters of the number of male flowers as many as (9.32) flower florets and (3.28) florets the number of female flowers.

Abstract

Nagara cowpea seeds are susceptible to deterioration during storage, thus seed viability performance must be improved with various techniques including seed invigoration. Organic priming is an invigoration technique that can be obtained from several plants that contain growth regulators. Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant in swampy areas that can be used as a raw material for organic priming. This study aims to determine the response and the best concentration of water hyacinth root extract on the growth of two cowpea varieties. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) split plot with the main factor being cowpea varieties (G) consisting of 2 levels, G1 (Nagara cowpea) and G2 (KT9 cowpea). The subplot factor is water hyacinth root concentration (C) consisting of 4 levels C0 (without priming), C1 2.5%, C2 5.0%, C3 7.5%. The results showed that the application of water hyacinth root extract affected the growth of two cowpea varieties on plant height, number of branches and number of leaves. The highest plant height was in KT9 cowpea soaked with 5% concentration of root extract. The highest number of branches in Nagara cowpea soaked in water hyacinth root extract at concentration 2.5%. The highest number of leaves in cowpea KT9 soaked in water hyacinth root extract at concentration 7.5%.
