Abstract

Community Service Activities are carried out at the Smart Visa Bali Office. This office operates in the field of immigration services. Immigration is a very important thing in the world of tourism, especially Bali which is a destination for foreign tourists. In introducing their business, business actors only use conventional promotion methods, namely word of mouth, so not many consumers know about the existence of this office. Seeing this, the community service implementation team designed a work program to introduce businesses widely, including training and mentoring activities that aim to provide new knowledge for Smart Visa Bali business actors in conducting online promotions. The results of this activity show positive progress for partners. The participants can understand the training material independently by creating promotional content on Instagram using copy writing techniques that have been taught and applied to the Canva application. After the online promotion on Instagram social media was carried out, there was a change in the number of consumer visits to the Bali Smart Visa Office.

Abstract

Social media has enabled individuals to publicly express their feelings, opinions, or sentiments about specific issues, including government policies. The accumulation of similar views from social media users can represent how the public perceives certain matters. The research was done by analysing netizen comments on posts regarding the pandemic regulation in Bali from August to November 2021 in a popular Instagram local news account Infodenpasar. The research employs the theory of speech act to describe the illocutionary force of netizen utterances to express particular sentiments and the systemic functional theory about experiential metafunction to explore the construal of participants and actions in the discourse. The finding shows that the most dominant speech act is conflictive, which expresses disbelief, complaint, and skepticism. In addition, the events in the clauses are constructed with various processes and participant types, especially relational process

Abstract

Pariwisata tidak terlepas dari promosi dan penggunaan bahasa. Dalam melakukan promosi diperlukan kemampuan berbahasa yang mumpuni sehingga dapat bersifat persuasif dalam memasarkan kegiatan wisata yang dimaksud. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dititikberatkan pada pemberian pelatihan bahasa Inggris kepada pelaku wisata di Desa Jatiluwih sehingga dapat merumuskan paket wisata yang akan ditawarkan pada para wisatawan, khususnya wisatawan asing. Metode kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan bahasa Inggris dasar dan pendampingan penyusunan paket wisata bagi pelaku pariwisata di Desa Jatiluwih, Tabanan, Bali. Pelatihan bahasa Inggris yang diberikan disusun dengan materi dasar dan khusus sehingga dapat membantu peserta pelatihan menyusun paket wisata berbahasa Inggris. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan bahasa Inggris pelaku pariwisata tersebut sehingga dapat membuat salah satu bentuk promosi desa wisata mereka, yaitu paket wisata dalam bentuk pamphlet online dan offline, dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris yang tepat dan efisien.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal merupakan suatu aspek penting dalam pengembangan suatu destinasi pariwisata. Artikel ini membahas kegiatan PkM di DTW Jatiluwih dengan fokus pada pembuatan paket wisata yang berkelanjutan. Pemberdayaan masyrakat lokal diarahkan mampu meningkatkan peran serta merancang, mengelola, dan mempromosikan paket wisata yang menarik bagi pengunjung. Pendekatan kegiatan PkM kali ini dilakukan melalui serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan, workshop, dan pendampingan. Masyarakat lokal diajak untuk terlibat aktif dalam merancang paket wisata yang menggali potensi lokal dan memperkuat identitas budaya mereka. Dalam proses ini, berbagai aspek berkelanjutan, seperti pelestarian lingkungan, pengembangan ekonomi lokal, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal, menjadi fokus utama. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini mencakup pengembangan paket wisata yang dituangkan dalam desain brosur wisata yang melibatkan kerjasama antara pelaku wisata lokal, kelompok sadar wisata (Pokdarwis) DTW Jatiluwih, dan pemerintah setempat. Melalui penerapan konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan ini, artikel ini memberikan kontribusi pada upaya menjaga kelestarian DTW Jatiluwih sebagai destinasi pariwisata yang menarik dan berdaya saing. Sehingga, pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal tidak hanya menciptakan produk wisata berupa paket wisata yang menarik, tetapi juga menjadi kunci keberlanjutan dan keberhasilan jangka panjang bagi industri pariwisata di DTW Jatiluwih.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the types of directive speech act occur in the Abominable film. As the result from the felicity condition on their utterance that makes the writer interesting to analyze because often occurs in daily life. Three data were collect and analyzed the findins of the data by used descriptive qualitative as methods. In analyzed data, the theory used proposed by Searle (1979) to analyze the types of directive speech act. In taking the data in this study, observation methods and note-taking techniques were used. Data findings are presented in formal and informal methods. Formal methods are presented in the form of percentages tables, while informal methods are presented in the form of descriptive writing in explained the table. The result of this study shows there are 3 utterances were found contained directives namely asking act, telling act, and requesting act.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the type of directive illocutionary act spoken by all characters in the commuter film. The theory of Searle and Vanderveken (1985) on the type of directive illocutionary act is used in analyzing data findings. Halliday's theory (1985) of context of situation also supports the analysis in this study. Data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method.  There are 91 utterance of directive illocutionary act found in the movie. The most dominant type is commanding act with 44 data (49%) occurrences followed by asking act with 30 data (33%) occurrences. The last type is ordering act with 17 data (18%) occurrences. The movie that used as the data source is a thriller-themed movie about the main actor who works on a mission given by someone. Thus, this movie contained many types of command, ask and order act.

Abstract

This research aimed about the types of illocutionary acts found in A Tourist’s Guide To Love movie. The researcher used the theory from Searle (1976) in order to find out the types of illocutionary acts. Meanwhile, to analyze the meaning based on the context of situation, the researcher used the theory from Halliday and Hassan (1985). The main data source of this study is A Tourist’s Guide To Love movie. Observation method and note taking technique are used in this study to collect the data. This study used descriptive qualitative method in analyzing the types of illocutionary acts and the meaning based on the context of situation.In this research there were found in A Tourist’s Guide To Love movie. All the types of illocutionary acts werefound in this research which are Assertive, Directive, Commissive, Expressive and Declarative. Themeaning of illocutionary acts supported by the context of situation which are Field, Tenor and Mode.
