Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat berbasis Ipteks bagi Masyarakat ini khalayak sasarannya adalah ibu-ibu PKK di RT 23/RW10 Kelurahan Oesapa Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). yang merupakan masyarakat tidak produktif secara ekonomis. Jumlah mitra ini ditetapkan sebanyak 15 orang dengan mempertimbangkan efisiensi dan intensitas pelaksanaan program. Tujuan kegiatan yaitu untuk 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan bagi ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Oesap adalah pengolahan daging ayam petelur afkir, 2) memberikan pangan fungsional dari produk olahan daging ayam, 3) meningkatkan keamanan pangan bagi masyarakat, 4) menciptakan akses bagi terciptanya wirasaha baru di kelurahan Oesapa. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai yaitu memproduksi nugget ayam sebagai pangan fungsional rendah kolesterol yang berasal dari ayam petelur afkir. Metode yang akan dilakukan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu dengan pelatihan, penyuluhan, demonstrasi pendampingan, dan evaluasi. serta memberikan paket bantuan beberapa alat pengolahan produk ayam lokal. Penyuluh anakan diberikan dengan memberikan buku, dan ceramah mengenai pentingnya protein hewani bagi kesehatan masyarakat. Demonstrasi akan dilakukan dengan praktek langsung pembuatan baso, ayam asap, ayam panggang, dan nugget ayam dari ayam petelur afkir.

Abstract

The system for raising chickens in North Baumata Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency is still traditional, and knowledge of entrepreneurship is still low. Entrepreneurial knowledge can have a positive impact on the progress of chicken farming in the North Baumata village. The purpose of this service activity is to: 1) improve chicken livestock entrepreneurship knowledge for farmers in North Baumata Village, NTT so that farmers can analyze and evaluate the economic conditions and production management, 2) form and develop the North Baumata Village community in Kupang Regency into a community who are economically independent, and 3) help improve the quality of life of the community. The method used to carry out this service activity is by counseling, demonstration (calculation of profit and loss for the effort of raising chicken, diffusion of science and technology with local feeding, sanitation, and vaccination), assistance, and evaluation. This IbM activity can help partner groups in North Baumata Village, Taebenu District, Kupang NTT Regency to be able to produce chickens that can be profitable. Partner groups are motivated in this activity so that it is expected to increase economic added value, especially for women of partner groups in North Baumata Village.

Abstract

Research has been conducted, and this study aims to know the effectiveness and income of the program in Strengthening Group Business’s Capital (SGBC) by performance, the assistance of government institutions, and local institutions, then point to income. The data collecting method used multi random sampling such-stage as the first seven district samples are selected based on purposive random sampling, and the second 200 respondents are chosen. Data, then, are analyzed by applying analysis of descriptive and inferential use of SPSS and SMART PLS software. The result shows that performance, assistance, and local institutions significantly affect program effectiveness by direct effect and income by indirect effect with the role of mediating factors, While point significantly affects farmers' income.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi dari permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh ibu-ibu rumah tangga di pesisir pantai Oesapa Kupang NTT khususnya yang terkena musibah badai siklon seroja pada awal tahun 2021 Salah satu dampak dari bencana alam tersebut yaitu gangguan penyediaan makanan. Masyarakat dituntut untuk dapat memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal yang potensial, diantaranya daun kelor yang kaya nutrisi dan banyak tersedia hampir disemua tempat di kota Kupang. Namun, kelompok mitra kurang memanfaatkan daun kelor sebagai bahan baku pakan lokal yang potensial, dan kurang memahami tentang menyediakan stok makanan darurat yang bergizi dan tahan lama. Maka, dirasakan perlu untuk memberi pelatihan pengolahan daun kelor menjadi camilan sehat kaya manfaat Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu penyuluhan, konsultasi, difusi iptek, dan pelatihan Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitra dalam memanfaatkan komoditas unggulan lokal yaitu daun kelor. Kesimpulan, kelompok mitra mampu memanfaatkan daun kelor untuk dijadikan bahan baku membuat protein bar sebagai camilan sehat, praktis, dapat disimpan lama, dan bergizi. Kata kunci : protein bar, daun kelor, camilan, makanan darurat, siklon seroja ABSTRACT This service activity aims to provide solutions to the problems faced by housewives on the coast of Oesapa Kupang, NTT, especially those affected by the Seroja cyclone at the beginning of 2021. One of the impacts of the natural disaster is the disruption of food supply. The community is required to be able to take advantage of potential local resources, including Moringa leaves which are rich in nutrients and are widely available in almost all places in the city of Kupang. However, the partner group does not use Moringa leaves as a potential local feed raw material, and lacks understanding about providing emergency food stocks that are nutritious and can last a long time. Based on the analysis of the problem above, it is felt necessary to provide training in processing Moringa leaves into healthy snacks that are rich in benefits. The methods are counseling, consultation, diffusion of science and technology, and training. The results of this activity are increasing the knowledge and skills of partners in utilizing local superior commodities, namely Moringa leaves. Abstract

Masa pandemi covid-19 membuat ruang gerak masyarakat terbatas untuk membeli makanan di warung atau di pasar, sehingga produk pangan beku berbahan daging ayam dapat menjadi pilihan, karena praktis, dapat disimpan lama dan bergizi. Namun, permasalahan dari kelompok mitra yaitu: 1) minimnya pengetahuan untuk membuat berbagai variasi produk makanan beku berbahan daging ayam, 2) kurangnya permodalan untuk melakukan usaha kuliner berbahan daging ayam, 3) kurangnya motivasi untuk menjual produk beku berbahan daging ayam. Metode 1) Memberikan bantuan karkas ayam dan paket bantuan alat dan bahan pengolah produk daging ayam, 2) memberikan penyuluhan 3) melakukan pendampingan kegiatan kepada ibu-ibu, dan melakukan evaluasi setiap kegiatan agar ibu-ibu dapat mandiri dan usaha berkelanjutan. Simpulan: 1) Bantuan modal berupa karkas ayam dan peralatan dapat membantu ibu-ibu untuk memproduksi frozen food, 2) Pelatihan wirausaha tentang keuntungan usaha penjualan produk beku berbahan daging ayam, 3) Penyuluhan tentang protein hewani dapat menyadarkan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan konsumsi daging ayam. Kata kunci : daging ayam, makanan beku, karkas, pandemi ABSTRACT During the COVID-19 pandemic, people have limited space to buy food in stalls or at the market, so frozen food products made from chicken meat can be an option, because they are practical, can be stored for a long time and are nutritious. However, the problems of the partner group are: 1) lack of knowledge to make various variations of frozen food products made from chicken meat, 2) lack of capital to conduct a culinary business made from chicken meat, 3) lack of motivation to sell frozen products made from chicken meat. Methods 1) Provide assistance with chicken carcasses and packages of tools and materials for processing chicken meat products, 2) provide counseling, 3) provide assistance for activities to partners, and evaluate each activity so that partners can be independent and have a sustainable business. Conclusions: 1) Capital assistance in the form of chicken carcasses and equipment can help partner to produce frozen food, 2) Entrepreneurship training on the benefits of selling frozen products made from chicken meat, 3) Counseling on animal protein can make people aware of increasing consumption of chicken meat. Abstract

A study conducted in the Belu District for 2 months. The study aims to analyze the cash income of goat raising in Belu and analyze the factors that affect the cash income of goat raising in Belu. Sampling was done in multiple stages, namely the selected subdistricts and villages were purposively sampled and proceed with the selection of the respondents were proportional random sampling. The number of respondents are 90 goat keeping farmers. The collected data is tabulated and then analzed by applying analysis of revenue and statistical analysis i.e., correlation and regression analysis. Results of the analysis showed that the average cash income of goat raising farmers in Belu is Rp 16,230,562 /year. Statistical analysis showed that the number of goat raised and the number of animals being sold have a real relationship with revenues and has a pattern of relationships as follow: Y = 6.914 X10,013 X50.722 with a coefficient of determination R2 = 0.67. Factors that affect the cash income is the amount of goats sold. Hence, the goat raising is recommended to be maintained and enhanced its development by improving and increasing the good management so that the number of livestock sold continues to be increased. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan tunai dan non tunai usaha ternak kambing Kabupaten Belu, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan tunai usaha ternak kambing di Kabupaten Belu. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan tiga tahap yaitu penentuan kecamatan contoh secara purposif, penentuan desa contoh secara purposif dan penentuan responden secara acak non proporsional, sehingga diambil 90 orang sebagai responden. Data yang terkumpul ditabulasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif serta analisis ekonomi dan analisis statistik. Hasil analisis pendapatan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pendapatan petani peternak pada usaha ternak kambing di Kabupaten Belu sebesar Rp 16.230.562. Pendapatan tersebut apabila dikaitkan dengan alokasi kerja 71 HKP/tahun maka rata-rata penghasilan kerja adalah Rp 228.599. Hasil analisis regresi korelasi menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usaha ternak kambing di Kabupaten Belu yaitu jumlah ternak (X1) jumlah ternak yang dijual (X5). Sedangkan regresi parsial diperoleh bahwa faktor utama yang berpengaruh yaitu jumlah ternak yang dijual. Hubungan faktor produksi terhadap pendapatan dapat digambarkan dengan fungsi Cobb-Douglas yaitu: Y= 6.914, X10,013 X5 0,722 dengan koefisien determinasi (= 0,67). Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa usaha ternak kambing di Kabupaten Belu mempunyai prospek yang baik di masa mendatang. Petani dapat meningkatkan pendapatannya dengan meningkatkan jumlah ternak yang dijual.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Bajawa from July 2015 to February 2016 to analyze factors affecting high demand of pork and its elasticity. Samples were collected from 100 respondents following random proportional in 4 villages (Kelurahan Bajawa, Faobata, Ngedukelu danTrikora). Data collected from this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis (correlation, multiple regression, and elasticity) of SPSS 16. The results of the present study showed that the average demand of pork in the Bajawa City was 17.91± 9,34 kg per year (SD = 52.15). There were four factors affecting the demand of pork (Y), ie. The price of chicken (X2), the price of eggs (X3), household income (X5), and education level (X7). The household income causing high demand of pork (Y) compare to the other threefactors. Furthermore, the elasticity of pork demand was = 1,533 and regarded as elastic (1,533 > 1). ABSTRAK Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kota Bajawa dari bulan Juli 2015 sampai bulan Februari 2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bersarnya tingkat permintaan daging babi, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan daging babi dan elastisitas permintaan daging babi. Penentuan contoh dilakukan dalam 2 tahap. Tahap pertama penentuan wilayah kelurahan contoh, diambil empat kelurahan yaitu Kelurahan Bajawa, Faobata, Ngedukelu dan Trikora yang dilakukan secara purposif. Tahap kedua adalah penentuan responden sebanyak 100 responden yang dilakukan secara acak proposional. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara kualitatif (deskriptif) dan kuantitatif (korelasi, regresi berganda dan elastisitas). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata permintaan daging babi di Kota Bajawa sebesar 17,91± 9,34 Kg per tahun (Koefisien variasi = 52,15). Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat faktor yang memiliki hubungan yang kuat terhadap permintaan daging babi (Y), yaitu harga daging ayam (X2), harga telur (X3), pendapatan keluarga (X5) dan tingkat pendidikan (X7). Hasil analisis regresi menggambarkan tentang keempat faktor tersebut terhadap permintaan daging babi.Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadapt permintaan daging babi (Y) di Kota Bajawa adalah pendapatan keluarga (X5) dan faktor-faktor lainnya berpengaruh tidak nyata. Elastisitas permintaan daging babi sebesar = 1,533 dan bersifat elastis (1,533 > 1).

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to know the performance of production, income and financial feasibility of pig fattening boar VDL (Verededle Duits Landvarken) rural agribusiness project program in East Adonara District. The analyzed using performance production measurement with measurement on pig weight, production performance, weaning weight, weaning time, mortality, pig age at selling and income analysis and financial feasibility analysis. The results of the calculation of production performance showed the increase of body weight of young males 6.86 kg / month, adult male body weight increase 7.37 kg / month, chest circumference 69.21 cm, adult chest circumference 112.58 cm, shoulder height young 58.10 cm, adult shoulder height 83.70 cm, young body length 56.26 cm, adult body length 79.16 cm, weaning time 3 months, 6.09% mortality and one year selling time. The analysis economy shows revenue production period is Rp 1.999.452,67. BEP is achieved at the selling rate of 1 pig seed VDL of Rp. 2.922.166.69 and PBP of 1,78 year. The use of production cost has been efficiently seen from the value of ROI of 6,74%. The business efficiency R-C ratio of 1.96 and and the Net B- C value of 1.63. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja produksi, pendapatan dan kelayakan finansial usaha penggemukan babi peranakan VDL (Verededle Duits Landvarken) program PUAP di Kecamatan Adonara Timur. Data dianalisis menggunakan pengukuran kinerja produksi dengan pengukuran pada pertambahan bobot badan babi, penampilan produksi, bobot sapih, waktu sapih, mortalitas, umur babi saat jual dan analisis pendapatan serta analisis kelayakan finansial. Hasil perhitungan kinerja produksi menunjukan pertambahan bobot badan jantan muda 6,86 kg/bulan, pertambahan bobot badan jantan dewasa 7,37 kg/bulan, lingkar dada muda 69,21 cm, lingkar dada dewasa 112,58 cm, tinggi pundak muda 58,10 cm, tinggi pundak dewasa 83,70 cm, panjang badan muda 56,26 cm, panjang badan dewasa 79,16 cm, waktu sapih 3 bulan, mortalitas 6,09% dan umur jual satu tahun. Analisis ekonomi menunjukkan pendapatan per periode produksi Rp 2.722.666.67. BEP tercapai pada tingkat penjualan sebesar 1 ekor babi peranakan VDL atau senilai Rp. 2.922166,67 dan PBP selama 1,78 tahun. Penggunaan biaya produksi sudah efisien dilihat dari nilai ROI sebesar 6,74%. Efisiensi usaha R/C ratio sebesar 1,96 dan dan nilai Net B/C sebesar 1,63.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to determine the rate of farmer’s income which obtained from pig farming, 2) to analyze the financial feasibility of pig farming in Nagekeo Regency. The sampling method consist of three phases. Firstly determining two districts purposively, Secondly determining four villages sample also purposively, thirdly, determining 41 respondents in the basis of proportional random sampling. The data collected were analyzed using income and financial analysis. The criteria of financial analysis were NPV, Net B/C, R/C, IRR, Price of BEP and PP. The results of this study showed that the average of farmer’s income abtained from pig farming was Rp 18.514.171 per year. The financial analysis shows the NPV of Rp 21.568.664, the value of the Net B/C of 2,06; R/C of 2,88; IRR of 44%; PBP of 1,5 per year; and Price of BEP equal is Rp 3.497.721 million. Based on the results abtained it can be concluded that the pig farming in Nagekeo is already profitable and financially feasible. Therefore, efforts need to be developed and improved. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui besarnya pendapatan petani peternak yang diperoleh dari usaha ternak babi yang dijalankan di Kabupaten Nagekeo dan 2) menganalisis kelayakan usaha ternak babi secara finansial di Kabupaten Nagekeo. Metode pengambilan contoh dilakukan melalui tiga tahap. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan pada tingkat kecamatan secara purposive (sengaja) dari 7 kecamatan diperoleh 2 Kecamatan Contoh. Penentuan Desa Contoh dilakukan secara purposive (sengaja) dari 26 desa sehingga diperoleh 4 Desa Contoh. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara acak proposional, sehingga diperoleh 41 responden. Data analisis menggunakan analisis pendapatan, dan analisis finansial dengan menggunakan kriteria NPV, Net B/C, R/C, IRR, BEP Harga dan PP. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata besar pendapatan yang diterima dari usaha ternak babi adalah sebesar Rp 18.514.171 per tahun. Analisis finansial menunjukkan nilai NPV sebesar Rp 21.568.664, nilai R/C ratio sebesar 2,88, nilai B/C sebesar 2,06, nilai IRR sebesar 44%, nilai PBP sebesar 1,5 tahun dan BEP harga sebesar Rp 3.497.721. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa usaha ternak babi di Kabupaten Nagekeo sudah menguntungkan dan layak secara finansial. Oleh karena itu usaha ini perlu dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan.

Abstract

The structure and role of each specific institution in the supply chain management of local cattle marketing need to be known in detail and comprehensively. The objectives were: 1) to describe the various institutional roles in the supply chain management of livestock and beef in Kupang District and Kupang City, NTT; and 2) to formulate efforts to improve the institutional performance of the livestock and beef supply chain in Kupang District, NTT. Surveys of institutions related to supply chain management of beef cattle in a comprehensive manner, covering all stakeholders (farmers, livestock traders, butchers, meat traders, animal markets, slaughterhouses, animal quarantine, sea freight expeditions, etc.). Data were analyzed descriptively- qualitatively and quantitatively, analysis of costs , benefits and margin of each marketing actor. As conclusions were: 1) The role of institutions in the supply chain management of cattle / beef in Kupang Regency is slowly starting to form a solid network according to the roles of the parties. However, they still have problems in terms of smooth communication and interaction in transactions at each point of the supply chain, especially the point between farmers and village traders regarding price determination; and 2) the institutional performance of cattle/ beef supply chain as a whole to ensure the interests of all stakeholders not optimal yet, in particular related to improve the group transaction methods, benchmark prices, controlling the sale of young females, preventing the slaughter of productive females, strict quarantine, and the availability of large capacity livestock vessels.
