Abstract

The aim of development in a country or region is to improve the welfare and prosperity of society in a fair and equitable manner, one of which is by increasing sustainable economic growth. The main objective of this study is to analyze the effect of domestic investment, foreign investment, population, crime and unemployment on economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency. The data analysis method used is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach in the time series data model and the observation time span of this study starts from 2010 to 2021 where data interpolation will be carried out in quarterly. According to the results of the analysis, the variables domestic investment and foreign direct investment have a positive significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the variables of population, crime and unemployment have a negative significant impact on economic growth in the long run. However, in the short run, the variables of direct investment, foreign investment, population and crime have a positive significant impact on economic growth. On the other hand, only the number of unemployed has a negative significant effect on economic growth. Based on the results of this study, it is appropriate for the Government of Deli Serdang Regency to optimize programs that are oriented towards increasing investment both domestic and foreign, suppressing the rate of population growth and the number of unemployed and maintaining regional security in the Deli Serdang Regency area.

Abstract

Based on the initial survey, deficiencies in the performance of teaching staff were identified, as indicated by high absenteeism rates, which ultimately negatively impact the school's performance. This study focuses on the aspects of motivation, work environment, and the performance of teaching staff, examining whether motivation and the work environment affect teaching staff performance both separately and collectively. The aim of this research is to understand the conditions of motivation, work environment, and teaching staff performance at SMA Swasta Methodist Berastagi, and to assess the impact of motivation and work environment on teaching staff performance, both partially and simultaneously. The results show that motivation and the work environment are rated as good, as is the performance of the teaching staff. Motivation contributes 12.04% to teaching staff performance, while the work environment has an 8.88% impact. Together, motivation and the work environment influence teaching staff performance by 37.6%. The recommendations of this study emphasize the importance of meeting the need for security, as the institution has not provided sufficient future guarantees for the teaching staff. One solution is to offer retirement programs or old-age benefits. Additionally, there is a noted lack of social interaction among teaching staff, which should be improved to support their social needs. The combination of motivation and work environment contributes 37.6% to teaching staff performance, and improvements can be made by enhancing future security and increasing social interaction among the staff.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the variables influencing Indonesia's energy usage from 1990 to 2019. Urbanization rate, GDP per capita, world crude oil prices, and power rates are the variables that are taken into consideration.Quantitative research is the methodology employed. The World Bank, the North Sumatra Province's Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the PT PLN (Persero) Parent Unit for the North Sumatra Region provided the secondary data used in this study. Time series data from 1990 to 2019 with four independent variables and one dependent variable are used in this study. Multiple linear regression tests are used to select the best model after the data is processed using the Stata14 program. The findings demonstrated that energy prices were significantly harmed by electricity tariffs.

Abstract

The objective of the research done in the subdistrict of Medan Belawan is to quantify the extent of the disparity in fishermen's catch business revenue and examine the elements that contribute to it. The approach employed is a survey, including both secondary and primary data acquired from a variety of sources. This research use stratified random sampling and gini ratio analysis to achieve its objective. Using stratified sampling, responses from fishermen were collected. The income from fishing for motorized and non-powered boats in the Medan Belawan subdistrict was somewhat unequal, according to the study's findings. The moderate inequality indication in the group of fishermen who use boats with outboard motors can develop for a number of causes, including those listed below : The employment of more modern fishing equipment enables them to sail to more expansive fishing grounds/areas. Consequently, their catch rates are often substantially greater than those of non-motorized boat fishermen. There is a potential that if the Gini Ratio Index is computed for merging with groups of fishermen who have superior fishing means, then the Gini Ratio Index calculation results will be greater (income distribution is more unequal). The catch per trip of motorized boat fishermen in the Medan Belawan District has a beneficial impact on revenue. The catch has a substantial beneficial influence on the revenue of motorboat fisherman over the course of a year.; While it is negatively influenced by the expense of traveling to sea, the time spent going to sea, and the season, it is positively affected by the amount of fish caught. Positive influences on the revenue of motorbike-riding fisherman are the catch and the cost of traveling to sea, whereas negative influences are the number of employees, the time spent, and the season.

The research design used is quantitative research with time series as panel data analysis, where the variables in this study are Village Funds (X1), Gross Regional Domestic Product (X2), and Human Development Index (Y). The data is obtained by collecting secondary data through the website of the Central Bureau of Statistics for Aceh Province. The results show that the F-count value was 578.7339, and the village fund variable had a positive coefficient of 0.059486 and t-count of 6.294444, gross regional domestic product of 0.087382 with a t-count value of 10.25143 meaning that the two variables have a positive impact on the regional/municipal human development index in the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province. Therefore, it can be concluded that these two variables can increase the human development index in a region.
