Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains (KPS) merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki siswa di abad ke-21 untuk mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Namun, data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat KPS siswa di Indonesia, khususnya di Jawa Barat masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai artikel dari jurnal yang telah terakreditasi, yang diperoleh melalui Google Scholar dan perangkat Publish or Perish. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa model RADEC, dengan sintaks pembelajaran Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, dan Create, efektif dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa. Beberapa penelitian yang dianalisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains setelah penerapan model RADEC, baik secara mandiri maupun melalui bantuan media pembelajaran inovatif seperti Canva dan animasi interaktif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model RADEC dapat menjadi solusi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengatasi rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa di Indonesia.

Abstract

The pervasive influence of various advertisements across multiple media platforms, promoting instant and packaged food and beverages, has contributed to the unhealthy lifestyle habits of learners. Examples include the consumption of foods or beverages detrimental to health. Non-environmentally friendly materials can also have a negative impact on the environment. Consequently, there is a need for individuals to understand and recognise the importance of consuming healthy and environmentally friendly local food. This research examined the validity of pictorial teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Indramayu, aimed at enhancing learners' eco-literacy skills. The study was conducted among fourth-grade students at Public Primary School A and B in Indramayu. The research model applied was Borg & Gall's model. The researchers validated the product based on content, language, and graphic reliability. The validation process involved three experts and two practitioners. The data validity test incorporated interviews, observations, and documentation. The results demonstrated that the content reliability was 87.50%, language validity was 89.16%, and graphic validity was 91.66%. These results indicated a category of high validity. The findings suggested that the pictorial teaching material, grounded in Indramayu local wisdom, was beneficial for further learning. Future researchers could extend this research by developing other forms of teaching materials

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of fifth grade students of SDN Talaga Wetan III, Talaga District, Majalengka Regency. One of the causes is the inaccuracy of the model used by the teacher. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematic Education model on students' critical thinking abilities. The type of research conducted is an experiment, with the design used being a quasi-experiment, with a nonequivalent control group design. Where there are two groups given different treatments. The population used is fifth grade of SDN Talaga Wetan III and fifth grade of SDN Banjaran, totaling 39 students with a nonprobability sampling technique of saturated sample type. The instrument used in this study is a descriptive test. The results of the study obtained data analysis scores using the average posttest results of the experimental class is 76.65 the average control result is 54.89, then a difference of 21.76 is seen. Based on the results of the hypothesis test analysis using the Independent Sample T Test with a significance level of 0.05, which is 0.001 <0.05 so that Ha is accepted. This means there was a difference in post-test results in the control class. These results suggest that the Realistic Mathematics Education model has an impact on students' critical thinking skills. This indicates that there is a difference in the Realistic Mathematics Education model's effects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of fourth grade students at SDN Banjaran and SDN Kagok, Banjaran District, Majalengka Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in critical thinking abilities between students who learn using the problem-based learning model assisted by IPUN media (IPAS Is Fun). This research is a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method in a non-equivalent control group design. The determination of this sample uses purposive sampling, data collection techniques are carried out using test techniques in the form of essay questions, pretests and posttests of critical thinking abilities. Data analysis techniques used are normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests and n-gain. The results of the study show (1) There is a difference in critical thinking abilities of students who learn using the problem-based learning model assisted by IPUN media (IPAS Is Fun) which is higher than students who learn using the direct instruction model. (2) There is an increase in critical thinking abilities of students who receive learning using the problem-based learning model assisted by IPUN media (IPAS Is Fun) which is higher than students who receive learning using the direct instruction model. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by IPUN media (IPAS Is Fun) is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Banjaran, Banjaran District, Majalengka Regency.

Abstract

This study examines students’ creative thinking skills in the IPAS subject using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Grade V. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of the PjBL model on creative thinking skills compared to conventional learning models. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the non-equivalent control group type. The population consisted of all Grade V students at SDN Maja Selatan VI, with a sample of 39 students, comprising 20 students in the experimental class and 19 students in the control class. The normality test results showed significance values of 0.074 > 0.05 for the experimental class and 0.118 > 0.05 for the control class, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test using Levene’s Test produced a significance value of 0.357 > 0.05, indicating that both groups were homogeneous. The t-test results revealed that the calculated t-value exceeded the critical t-value and the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in creative thinking skills between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, the application of the PjBL model has a significant effect on improving students’ creative thinking skills in the IPAS subject.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter melalui pendekatan Live Education Development Program (LEDP). Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik, simulasi, dan refleksi dengan melibatkan guru sekolah dasar sebagai sasaran utama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada tiga aspek utama, yaitu pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap guru. Dari sisi pengetahuan, guru mengalami pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang konsep pendidikan karakter, profil pelajar Pancasila, serta strategi integrasi nilai-nilai karakter. Dari sisi keterampilan, mayoritas guru mampu menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) berbasis karakter dengan kualitas baik. Dari sisi sikap, terjadi peningkatan kesadaran guru dalam menjadikan pendidikan karakter sebagai prioritas pembelajaran, dari sebelumnya 50% menjadi 92%. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga berdampak pada terbentuknya iklim sekolah yang lebih berkarakter dengan menekankan nilai kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan sikap saling menghargai. Dengan demikian, LEDP terbukti efektif sebagai strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter yang dapat diimplementasikan secara berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Critical thinking, as a core competence of 21st-century learning, must be fostered from the primary school level, particularly through Social Studies instruction that emphasizes social issue analysis and rational decision-making. Empirical evidence indicates that limited critical thinking skills among elementary students are often associated with teacher-centered instructional practices. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in Social Studies through a recent literature review. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA protocol. Articles published between 2020 and 2025 were retrieved from Google Scholar and Publish or Perish. Based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, ten relevant studies were selected and analyzed thematically. The findings consistently demonstrate that PBL implementation has a positive impact on students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in the areas of analysis, evaluation, inference, and argument construction. However, higher-order components such as drawing conclusions and argumentative synthesis require more structured and sustained application of PBL syntax. The effectiveness of PBL is influenced by internal factors, including students’ learning motivation and active participation, as well as external factors such as the quality of contextual problem design and teachers’ classroom management. Overall, the review confirms that PBL is a relevant and effective instructional model for primary Social Studies education, promoting participatory, contextual, and reflective learning. This study contributes a comprehensive mapping of PBL effectiveness and offers recommendations for strengthening higher-order thinking skills in elementary classrooms.

Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the 21st-century skills that is important to develop in elementary school students. However, various findings indicate that the level of student creativity in Indonesia is still relatively low, so a learning model that can encourage active involvement and the development of creative ideas is needed. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on students' creative thinking skills through a literature review. The research method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from national and international scientific articles relevant to the range of PjBL topics and students' creative thinking skills, published in recent times. The results show that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model consistently has a positive and significant effect on improving students' creative thinking skills, as indicated by an increase in posttest scores, a significant difference with the control class, and indicators of creativity development such as fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. In addition, PjBL also equips students with collaboration, problem-solving, and responsibility skills that are relevant to real life. Thus, the Project Based Learning model is recommended as an innovative learning alternative to improve elementary school students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Rendahnya permasalahan konsep IPA disekolah dasar seringkali diakibatkan leh sifat materi yang abstrak dan penggunaan metode konvensional terus menerus. Jika hal ini terus dibiarkan, dapat menghambat pemahaman konsep IPA siswa secara jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media audio visual meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA di tingkat sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menyaring dan menganalisis sembilan artikel ilmiah relevan dari basis data Google Scholar dan Smantic Scholar terbitan tahun 2021 hingga 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukan baha penggunaan media audio visual, seperti video inteaktif dan video animasi mampu menyajikan materi yang bersifat abstrak menjadi lebih konkret, dinamis, dan menarik bagi siswa. temuan data mengungkapkan bahwa rata-rata pemahaman konsep IPA meningkat secara signifikan laporan kenaikan mencapai rentan 25% hingga 40% setelah penerapan media tersebut. Secara khusus, media video interaktif menunjukan keunggulan tertinggi dalam efektivitas pembelajaran media dibandingkan media statis lainya. Dengan demikian, integrasi media audio visual dalam pembelajaran IPA sangat direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, efektif, serta mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi sains yang kompleks.

Abstract

Budaya dan matematika sangat erat kaitannya salah satunya yaitu rumah adat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil eksplorasi rumah adat Panjalin di Kabupaten Majalengka pada materi geometri di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatf. Sumber data pada penelitian ini menggunakan data hasil wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan kajian literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan reduksi data, sajian data, verifikasi, dan penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa dalam arsitektur rumah adat panjalin mengandung konsep matematika (1) bentuk atap rumah berbentuk trapesium, penyangga pada rumah adat tersebut berbentuk balok, (2) bagian atas / langit-langit dalam rumah memiliki unsur persegi, (3) dinding rumah berbentuk persegi panjang, dan (4) bagian penyangga rumah adat panajalin berbentuk balok. Secara umum, konsep geometri yang terdapat dalam rumah adat panjalin dapat dijadikan sebagai alternative sumber belajar matematika khususnya materi geometri berbasis etnomatematika.
