Abstract

  Background: Service quality is a crucial factor for patient satisfaction and loyalty in healthcarefacilities. The Government of Indonesia, through the Minister of Health Decree (Kemenkes) RI Number 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008, has set Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for outpatientsatisfaction at ≥90%. A study in 2024 showed a relationship between service quality and patientsatisfaction at RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda, and an internal survey report for the January-June 2024 periodindicated that outpatient patient satisfaction was still below the 90% threshold. Objective: This study aims to provide an overview of outpatient service quality at RSIA AisyiyahSamarinda in 2025. Methods: This was a descriptive quantitative study usingaccidental sampling technique, with data collected from 110 respondents (n=110). The service qualityvariable was measured using five dimensions (Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance,Empathy). Results: The results showed that the overall average service quality at RSIA Aisyiyah Samarindareached 90.6%, which falls into the “Very Good” category and meets the minimum standards set bythe Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). The dimensions that exceeded the standard were Assurance (92.5%), Empathy (92.1%), and Reliability (91.0%). However, two dimensions remained below the90% threshold, namely Responsiveness (89.3%) and Tangibles (88.0%). Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior has become a significant social issue among adolescents in Indonesia, particularly concerning the high rates of child marriage and unintended pregnancies. Despite efforts to promote Marriage Maturity to reduce these rates, its effectiveness requires further investigation, especially in the context of adolescent motivation to avoid risky sexual behavior. This study aims to explore adolescent motivation to avoid premarital sexual behavior by applying the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), which involves threat appraisal and coping appraisal in adolescent decision-making to delay early marriage. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Informant consisted of adolescents aged 15-19 years in Samarinda City who had received information about marriage maturity. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with six purposively selected Informant using intensity sampling techniques. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and documentation. Collected data were analyzed using QSR NVIVO 12 Pro. The findings reveal that adolescents’ understanding of marriage maturityis still limited, and the threat of premarital sexual behavior is perceived as low by most Informant. Factors such as perceptions of severity adolescents are quite good because they have seen firsthand the impacts of premarital sex. For response efficacy and self-efficacy in delaying the age of marriage, these are relatively high among adolescents exposed to PUP. This is because they have parental and peer support providing information related to PUP. Additionally, social environment, media exposure, and education levels shape adolescents' responses to marriage maturityas a protective measure.

Abstract

Background: This study aimed to analyze the influence of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control (PBC) on adolescents' mental health help-seeking intentions among high school students in North Sangatta. Methods: This study uses an observational, cross-sectional design. A sample of 551 respondents was collected via a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to homeroom teachers and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results: 43.9% of students with neutral attitude scores had high intentions to seek mental health help; 57.2% of students with high subjective norm scores had high intentions; and 43.9% of students with neutral perceived behavioral control (PBC) scores had high intentions. Parents were the source of health support for the majority of students, and the least accessed sources were online consultation services and through a boyfriend/girlfriend. The results of multiple linear regression tests showed that attitude (p-value: 0.015), subjective norm (p-value: 0.005), and PBC (p-value: 0.001) influenced the outcome, with a correlation coefficient of 7.4%. This means that the variables of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control can explain 7.4% of the variation in mental health help-seeking. Conclusion: The findings reveal that PBC is the most influential variable in mental health help-seeking intention. Increasing mental health literacy for parents and teachers, community support, stigma reduction, and parent participation are necessary to enhance the values of attitude, subjective norm, and PBC among high school students in North Sangatta.

Abstract

Pelayanan Posyandu Lansia Seroja di Loa Bakung menghadapi permasalahan utama berupa rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi efektif kader dalam memberikan edukasi kesehatan kepada lansia. Temuan social mapping menunjukkan bahwa para lansia tinggal di lingkungan permukiman yang padat dengan tingkat pemahaman kesehatan yang masih terbatas, serta memiliki kebiasaan makan yang dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit degeneratif seperti tekanan darah tinggi, diabetes, kolesterol, dan asam urat. Kondisi ini menuntut penyampaian informasi kesehatan yang jelas dan menenangkan, namun kemampuan komunikasi kader yang belum optimal sering menimbulkan kekhawatiran pada lansia sehingga pemahaman mereka tidak berkembang dengan baik. Stakeholder mapping juga menggambarkan belum tersusunnya alur koordinasi yang menyeluruh antara kader, Puskesmas Loa Bakung, Klinik Bunga Bakung, Kelurahan Loa Bakung, dan Kecamatan Sungai Kunjang. Ketidakterhubungan struktur ini membuat kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan tanpa dukungan teknis yang memadai. Melalui analisis situasi, pemetaan masalah, dan penentuan prioritas menggunakan metode USG, kemampuan komunikasi kader teridentifikasi sebagai masalah yang paling mendesak untuk ditangani. Perencanaan program kemudian difokuskan pada upaya pemberdayaan kader agar mampu berkomunikasi secara empatik, jelas, dan sesuai konteks sosial masyarakat. Perencanaan ini memberikan dasar strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan Posyandu Lansia melalui penguatan kapasitas kader dalam menyampaikan informasi kesehatan secara lebih efektif dan mudah dipahami.

Abstract

Base on various reports, stated that many teens already trapped in unhealthy reproductive behavior, including sexual behavior before marriage. Based on the survey results Indonesian Family Planning Association (IPPA) East Kalimantan in 2008. Of the 300 adolescents (aged 13-20 years) 12% of respondents claimed to have had sex. This study aims to determine the relationship Attitudes and Patterns of Communication With Parents with Premarital Sex Behavior in High School Students in Private Samarinda in 2010. This study is observational method "Cross Sectional Study". with a total sample of 102 students. Data were obtained from questionnaires answered. The analysis is the analysis of uni-variate and bi-variate with Chi Square Test. Uni- variate analysis of the data obtained from 102 respondents as much as 3% had sex should husband and wife, and 2% had had sex in the past month and 1% had had sex in a last month . Behavior different sexual risk among respondents as many as 17% of respondents which high risk behavior , and only 5% who do not have risky behaviors. Bi-variate analysis showed an association with the attitude of premarital sexual behavior p = 0.028 and no association with the communication patterns of premarital sexual behavior (p = 0061). This study is expected the cooperation between teachers and parents to provide education and knowledge about good reproductive health in order to fortify the attitude and behavior of Private High School Youth in Samarinda

Abstract

Berdasarkan Hasil survey  Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia (PKBI) Kalimantan Timur tahun 2008. Dari 300 remaja (usia 13-20 tahun) 12% responden mengaku sudah melakukan hubungan seks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui   hubungan Sikap dan Pola Komunikasi Dengan Orang Tua dengan Perilaku seks Pranikah pada Siswa di SMA Swasta Kota Samarinda Tahun 2010. Penelitian ini adalah Observasional dengan metode “Cross Sectional Study”. dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 102 siswa. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil menjawab angket. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Chi Square Test. Analisis data univariat, sebanyak 3% telah melakukan hubungan intim selayaknya  suami  istri  ,serta  2%  .  Perilaku    beresiko  seksual  pada  responden  sebanyak  17% responden yang beperilaku resiko tinggi , dan hanya 5% yang tidak memiliki perilaku beresiko. Analisis bivariat menunjukan adanya hubungan   sikap dengan perilaku seks pranikah p=0,028 dan tidak ada hubungan pola komunikasi dengan perilaku seks pranikah p=0.06). Penelitian ini diharapkan kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua untuk memberikan pendidikan dan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan reproduksi yang baik agar dapat membentengi sikap dan prilaku Remaja di SMA Swasta Samarinda.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many infectious and non-communicable diseases that easily infect a person, one of the efforts is to prevent disease infection by implementing good and correct personal hygiene. The reproductive organs must also be maintained in hygiene and health which can be called genitalia hygiene. However, genitalia hygiene is still taboo in Indonesian society so there are no specific guidelines that are taught formally or with standard health standards because it is considered only a hereditary science. In fact, hygiene behavior is very important to do well in preventing negative impacts on the reproductive health of women who are also prospective mothers in the future. The purpose of this study is to explain the influence of "genitalia hygiene" education and training with lectures, demonstrations, and discussions on increasing the understanding of students of SMAN 5 Samarinda on reproductive health materials in general, reproductive health in women, genitalia hygiene and menstrual hygiene management. This research method uses quantitative methods with a pretest and posttest. The results of this study show that there is an influence between the provision of health education and training regarding genitalia hygiene on the level of knowledge of class X and XI students of SMAN 5 Samarinda.

Abstract

Service quality in public health centers (Puskesmas) plays a crucial role in shaping patient perceptions and behaviors, which in turn influence patient loyalty. In Samarinda City, declines in patient visits and the achievement of Minimum Service Standards (MSS) indicate ongoing challenges in primary healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the effects of perceived value and patient satisfaction on patient loyalty at Puskesmas. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the study involved 420 respondents selected through cluster random sampling and convenience sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability and were analyzed using path analysis. The results show that perceived value has a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty (β = 0.2405), while patient satisfaction demonstrates a stronger influence on loyalty (β = 0.3410). In addition, patient satisfaction mediates the relationship between perceived value and loyalty, whereas perceived value acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty. These findings confirm that patient loyalty is shaped not only by direct effects but also through reciprocal mediating relationships between perceived value and patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Thirdhand smoke (THS) refers to tobacco residue left on surfaces and in dust after cigarette smoke dissipates, posing health risks, especially to children. This study aims to identify and synthesize various factors influencing preventive behavior towards THS exposure through a systematic literature review. Articles were systematically searched in PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus for publications from 2021 to 2025, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and strict inclusion-exclusion criteria. Of the 280 identified articles, 12 studies (5,241 participants) were included, with most being cross-sectional and originating from Turkey. Key factors influencing THS prevention behavior included: awareness and knowledge (10 studies), belief in the dangers of THS (8 studies), education (6 studies), income (5 studies), smoking rules at home (5 studies), and smoking behavior (4 studies). Results showed that awareness of the term THS was low (8.7%), with higher education (OR=18.835; p<0.001) and homeownership (OR=2.667; p=0.004) significantly influencing beliefs about THS dangers. This study suggests public health interventions targeting THS education for lower-income and less-educated groups and recommends further research in diverse geographic and cultural contexts. Abstract

The role of the marketing mix today is not only to provide products or services to consumers but also how these products or services provide satisfaction to consumers or customers so that they will attract consumer interest to continue purchasing the products or services offered. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the 7P marketing mix on the satisfaction of inpatients at the Siaga Al-Munawwarah Hospital in Samarinda. This research is a quantitative cross-sectional design. This study used a sectional approach, with a sample of 274 respondents. The study period was January - September 2025, of inpatient at the Siaga Al-Munawwarah Hospital in Samarinda. The analysis used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. The statistical tests used were the chi-square test and logistic regression. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of place (p-value 0.005), process (p-value 0.010) on inpatient satisfaction. Based on the logistic regression test, it was found that place is the variable that has the most influence on the satisfaction of inpatients. This study shows that there is a significant influence of the place and process variable on inpatient satisfaction
