Abstract

High turnover of early childhood education teachers is a challenge to the quality of education. This situation compels leaders to focus on retaining teachers to ensure the sustainability of early childhood education institutions. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the turnover and retention rates of early childhood education teachers in the Magelang Region. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method through a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to early childhood education respondents in the Magelang Region using a simple random sampling technique. This study was analyzed using descriptive analysis, namely analyzing the average, number, and percentage. The results of the study indicate that the factors that influence the rate of teacher turnover are the work environment, suitability to work, culture, and community; compensation and benefits; leadership; work management system; and mentoring and support from colleagues. These findings suggest that school policies should focus on specific factors in the teachers' work environment by creating a fun, calming, and prosperous atmosphere to help reduce the impact of high teacher turnover and improve retention in early childhood education.

Abstract

The development of self-creativity in children needs to be performed because they possess the interests and talents that are expected to be honed or developed. Therefore, this study aims to test the effect of the Reggio Emilia approach on children's creativity from the Islamic Psychology review. A total of 36 students aged 5-6 years were selected as participants using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the pre-experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The result showed that children's creativity increased through aptitude and non-aptitude. This study indicates that 22 and 14 students had Islamic verbal creativity in the average and above-average category respectively. Therefore, the Reggio Emilia approach positively affects children's creativity.

Abstract

Parenting as a child care practice has become the main focus in both Western psychology and Islam psychology. Each perspective is founded on different values and contributes to the development of the parenting concept. The concept of parenting from the Western psychology includes Montessori parenting, positive parenting, and religious parenting. Meanwhile, from the perspective of Islam psychology, the concept of parenting involves prophetic parenting, Islamic parenting, Qur’anic parenting, and fathanah parenting. The researcher conducted a literature review on these concepts by collecting papers using search engines, including Google, Publish or Perish, and Open Knowledge Map and collected scientific journal articles that are nationally and internationally accredited. A total of 58 journal articles published between 2013 and 2023 were found. Data sampling is adjusted to the research topic, namely the concept of parenting and early childhood parenting. Next, the researcher will interpret the meaning of each journal article using content analysis to identify the basic argument of the research. The findings show that the development of the parenting concept in the Western psychology perspective stems from phenomena in parenting, especially the religion phenomenon in parenting culture in the 21st century. On the other hand, the development of the parenting concept in the Islam psychology perspective is merely a conceptual reinterpretation that is centered in the values of al-Qur’an and hadith. Nevertheless, the researcher found two patterns in the development of the parenting concept in Islam: first, the development of the parenting conceptual framework that is integrated with interpretation method on al-Qur’an texts to explain the notion of parenting, and second, the theoretical integration between the parenting concept that is in accordance with al-Qur’an and hadith and the Western psychology’s notion on parenting. Based on the literature review, the integration between the parenting concept in Western psychology perspective and that in Islam results in the SMART parenting model which prioritizes joy, education, moral and religion, and health for the children’s growth.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the importance of religious and moral values ​​instilled by parents in welcoming society in the 5.0 era. This research is qualitative with library research. A sorting method with two determining elements, children's spiritual and moral values, was used to analyze the data. Researchers explain the data into categories and characteristics. We also limited the data, performed content analysis, and studied the text literature. In the era of society 5.0: 1) parents are advised to educate their children as did Rasulullah (SAW); 2) parents are responsible for children's academic education; 3) parents are encouraged to grow the Rabbani generation (religion-based); 4) parents need to bring up good habits. Due to increasingly sophisticated technological developments, parents must increase their knowledge of this new technology, positively direct digital devices and media, and balance the time in using digital media and real-life interactions. In addition, parents are also encouraged to choose programs or applications that are positive for children that can positively impact their child's growth and development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the project method on environmental care behavior in early childhood during the Covid 19 pandemic. The research sample was in Kindergarten B group children at PAUD Pandan Wangi Secang, Magelang Regency. This research was conducted because there were problems of environmental care behavior during the pandemic related to environmental cleanliness. The low level of environmental care behavior during this pandemic will be increased through the project method. The design of this study used an Experimental Research model of Pre-experimental design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, namely through pretest, treatment, and posttest. The research was conducted in three stages including preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were children in the TK B group, totaling 30 children. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Analysis of the data used is a parametric test. The results showed an increase in children's environmental care behavior during the pandemic through the project method. This is evidenced by the comparison of the pretest results showing the lowest score of 15, the highest value of 23, and the average value of 19. Meanwhile, the posttest results showed the lowest score of 34, the highest score of 43, and the average value of 38.9. Based on these scores, it can be concluded that the project method has an effect on children's environmental care behavior during the pandemic in Kindergarten B Group at PAUD Pandan Wangi Secang Magelang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengungkapan bahasa melalui penggunaan media busy book di Taman Kanak- kanak Mardisiwi Kaliboto pada anak usia 5-6 tahun tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian dilakukan dengan Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdapat tiga kali pertemuan. Subjek pada penelitian ini terdiri dari lima subyek penelitian usia 5-6 tahun di Taman Kanak- kanak Mardisiwi Kaliboto Kecamatan Bener Kabupaten Purworejo. Identifikasi variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu variabel input kemampuan pengungkapan bahasa yang rendah, variabel proses peningkatan kemampuan pengungkapan bahasa melalui media busy book dan variabel output meningkatnya kemampuan pengungkapan bahasa anak. Metode pengungpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi (lembar observasi) dan wawancara (lembar wawancara guru kelas). Adapun kriteria keberhasilan penelitian ini dikatakan meningkat apabila telah mencapai 60%. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian peningkatan pengungkapan bahasa melalui media busy book menunjukkan adanya perubahan peningkatan pengungkapan bahasa melalui media busy book ke arah yang positif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya hasil peningkatan pada setiap siklus yang telah dilakukan. Adapun hasil capaian peningkatan pengungkapan bahasa melalui media busy book subyek 1 semula 31,25% menjadi 84,37%, subyek 2 semula 37,50% menjadi 78,12%, subyek 3 semula 34,37% menjadi 75 %, subyek 4 37,50% menjadi 96,87%, subyek 5 28,12% menjadi 84,37%. Melalui pemaparan hasil peningkatan persiklus tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui media pembelajaran busy book dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pengungkapan bahasa anak pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Mardisiwi Kaliboto Kecamatan Bener Kabupaten Purworejo tahun ajaran 2021/2022.

Abstract

Consumer attitude represent the individual evaluation supporting, do not support or neutral to an object. Consumer atitude to product lapped over by for 3 component, that is cognate component, afeksi component, and conative component. This article explain 1) How far consumer attitude to product which one the market and how big belief of subjek or consumer to product excellence which on the market 2) Contain the evaluation subjek to product which one on the market 3) Existence of positive attitude of subjek to product which one on the market. Atitude o produc own characeristic as result learn the something that degraded. Consumer attitude to hand in glove product of its bearing with the consumer attitude to advertisement. Advertisement represent on of effort form the product bargain, where about consumer have to prosess this information accurately and circumstantial. Individual need of a kind of yhis named by Need for Cognition. By NFC, consumer attention of at higher advertisement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the example non example models of learning achievement in Social science Students of State Elementary School Grade 1 Maduretno Kaliangkrik Magelang. The approach used in this study the pre-experimental research, design The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, by 9 meetings, are given treatment through learning in the classroom. The subjects of this study were 15 students who have learning achievement of Social Sciences is low. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling technique. There are two variables used in the research are: the dependent variable in the form of learning achievement of Social Sciences, as well as the independent variable in the form of a model example of non example. The data collection technique used is the learning achievement test Social Sciences.The results of a study reported an average score early measurement of learning achievement of Social Sciences students is 56.80, while the average score of the final measurement of learning achievement of Social Sciences students are reaching 77,87.Hypothesis testing using analytical techniques Wilcoxon signed rank test with SPSS for windows version 22.00. Based on the analysis of achievement learn there is a difference of Social Sciences students between the initial measurement and the final measurement with the value of Z at -3415 with sig 0,000 (sig <0.05), which means that there is a model example of non example influence the learning achievement of Social Sciences.

Abstract

Beyond Centres and Circle Times (BCCT) model is used in this study as away to help kindergarten students understanding the basic of reading, writing and counting. It has many differential rooms including the facilities which those have differential aims at developing kids potentials. They are as central activities of students where teacher always manage the kids to sit as a circle at the beginning and the ending of the activities. The research is conducted to 5-6 years old of kindergarten students of ABA schools in second semester of academic years 2009/ 2010 where the school provides 7 (seven) rooms as central activities. They are 1) Preparation Centre, 2) Bloc Centre, 3) Liquid Centre, 4) Music and physical exercise centre, 5) Art and Creativity, 6) Role play centre, 7) Religion Centre. The writer focus the activities in all centres to develop kids basic of reading, writing and counting. The result showed that there is a significant increasing reached by kids in every step given.

Abstract

Indigo child fenomenon typical minded suspected due to a mistake in the performance of the brain (brain worksystems) are disrupted. They are more than normal children interns of empathy and creativity and unique behavioral characteristics. Because it has a sixth sense, they are considered to have ability to describe past and future. In order for the development of his soul is not disturbed, it’s better indigo children are treated fairly.
