Abstract

Identification of groundwater potential through the characteristics of the aquifer layer is an important study. This is useful for knowing the availability of shallow groundwater in an area. Arjosari Village, Kalipare District, Malang Regency is an area that often experiences shortages in meeting daily water needs, especially during the dry season. The availability of groundwater at the research site is influenced by the area's topographical conditions, which range from flat to very steep. This study aims to identify the location of the aquifer and groundwater potential in Arjosari Village. This study uses the Schlumberger configuration to identify aquifers and groundwater. This method adheres to the basic principle that each rock layer has a different resistivity value. In addition to rock material type factors, the level of saturation and chemical composition in water affects the value of resistivity. The results showed that the aquifer characteristics and groundwater potential were different for each lithological condition, slope, soil type, and land use. In the research location, shallow aquifers were found less than 20 meters while there were also deep aquifers located more than 25 meters below the ground surface. Shallow aquifers can be used as a water source by the community, especially to meet their daily water needs. The results of this study are used for Geography learning on hydrological material.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate social science education students’ preparedness before they attend problem-based hybrid learning (PBHL). This research is quantitative research with an explorative survey method conducted on college students taking Social Science Education Program in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. The participant of this study were 118 students, subsisting of 32 male and 86 female students. This research used a questionnaire with a 1-4 Likert scale as an instrument to measure students’ readiness, weighted from their motivation, prospective behavior, and information and communication technolog (ICT) skills. The data collection process was carried out through Google Form in April 2020. This research used descriptive quantitative analysis to discover students’ preparedness and one-way ANOVA to identify the effect of gender type to the students’ preparation in PBHL. The results of this research show that social science education students’ preparedness (motivation, prospective behavior, and ICT skills) in PBHL is classified high, namely in the B+ category. Furthermore, the gender type has no significant effect on students’ preparedness for PBHL (p0.05). Recommendation based on the research result is the university has to facilitate easy internet access, such as by accelerating the bandwidth, internet connection, and promote other policies that support PBHL.

Abstract

The essence and existence of culture in its process will gradually change due to various factors, such as the infiltration of global culture. This quantitative study aims to determine the effect of global cultural infiltration on the traditional Sasak marriage system in Lombok Island. The research was conducted in Montong Gamang Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok Regency, with 50 respondents determined by purposive sampling. The research data were obtained through a questionnaire analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation formula. The analysis results show a correlation coefficient (0.639) greater than the value of r-Product Moment (0.279) at a significance level of 5%. This means that global cultural infiltration has a significant effect on the traditional Sasak marriage system in Lombok Island. It is suggested that the tribe can wisely select and accept the foreign culture, be aware of negative influences, and maintain local cultural values. Keywords: Cultural Infiltration; Marriage System; Sasak Tribe Custom

Abstract

The Indonesian government has developed a comprehensive halal certification program through the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH). However, the halal certification recording application requires enhancements due to its lack of data elements pertaining to micro and small enterprises (MSEs) with geographical or location references. Geographic Information System (GIS) technology can serve as a solution for data management in the halal industry, encompassing the management, monitoring and analysis of spatial-temporal and real-time data. This research is aimed at developing geospatial technology for industrial halal management within the scope of MSEs. Methods for developing geospatial technology-based management of halal industry applications use analysis, design, development and evaluation through the ArcGIS online platform developed by Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri). The findings of this research highlight the potential of geospatial technology in the halal industry. It can be effectively utilized to integrate and comprehensively manage halal industry data on a spatial basis, enabling performance monitoring of MSEs, halal product process assistance and the BPJPH. This technology allows for quick analysis of patterns, distributions, trends, associations and regional comparisons, providing valuable insights. Consequently, geospatial technology can support policy recommendations aimed at accelerating the halal certification process by mapping and analyzing relevant data based on geographic locations, facilitating a better understanding of spatial distribution and relationships within the halal industry. This research successfully develops geospatial technology for managing halal industries within MSEs, enabling comprehensive data integration and spatial analysis. The findings highlight its potential to enhance monitoring, support policy recommendations and accelerate the halal certification process.
